Anyone has any advice on what to do on seeing an elephant? Turn around and leg it out of there?
I once had a close encounter with a "wild" elephant @ Khao Ang Runai Wildlife Sanctuary ( on the 3259) ( I came from Sa Kaeo heading towards the 304. What I did might have been stupid but I stopped and took some pics ( kept the engine running and was ready to make a fast escape) as you can see on the pics he was checking me out but just passed me. Maybe on a new occassion I won't do that again.:-) One thing I know: don 't make any loud noises.

Can anyone who has been to the track already advise on the correct road in for the car park / track entrance (to the Main Grandstand)?
Coming from the West along the 24, is the correct road to take to the entrance along the 219 or 218 off the 226 (heading North towards Buriram)?
Cheers.
Just seen race 1 from Phillip Island, nail biting stuff.
Just watching WWS line up - Wilairot lining up.
the 218 is the best road.

here some pics of authentic Japanese Motorcycles of WW2 ( More or less Harley Davidson copies)
Hard to tell - looks like a HD JD from the 1920's Harley JD.jpg
Type 97 motorcycles were built in Japan derived from the Harley-Davidson Road King design purchased for license production in 1932. Production began in 1933 near Tokyo, Japan with Harley-Davidson employees on-site as consultants. These military bikes proved to be so popular that their name, Rikuo ("Land King" or "Continent King"), a translation of Road King, would become the name of the Sankyo Company subsidiary spun off for production of motorcycles in 1936. They were most often seen with sidecar. These motorcycles saw front line duty in China as soon as they there introduced in 1933, and production would continue until the end of the war. After a two-year pause, the Rikuo company resumed production of motorcycles in 1947, but the heavy Type 97 design was not among those built. In 1951, under new ownership of Showa Corporation, Rikuo resumed production of the design for the civilian market.

Was the "nuts and bolts tightening 340 thb" actually stated on the bill??
Like that Ducati make themself look ridicilous, better make one: labour fee so at least you don't know you being overcharged with those seperate descriptions.

Quotes: " I adore dogs and have always had dogs but these hounds deserve no quarter and should be destroyed, wholesale"
"What I'd like to see is a posse of canine bounty hunters to be employed with the order that any dog not behind gates or muzzled to be "put-down", there and then and on the spot (owners left to clear up the mess). No ifs &'s or buts - non-negotiable canine-euthanasia"
Bit conflicting: Adoring dogs and wanting to destroy dogs and in for a non negotiable canine-euthanasia.
The dogs can't help it, it's the owners ( if any)
Nationwide neutering would be a solution.but TIT.......

The description quotes Indian traffic but I believe it's actually in Vietnam ( Ho Chi Min city)

This morning went again to the track to meet the Doctor
But it turned out Rossi and Lorenzo already left yesterday, Smith and Espargaro were still around but I came for Valentino
A bit of wrong info, or give them the benefit of doubt orders from the Team Boss ( since they are testing in Sepang)
I checked the annoucement/flyer and there are 3 different versions with different time schedules!?
It was possible to testride the R3 on the track, but since I took the mrs and my daughter,I came with the car and did not take my gear, and besides, at the moment I heard no Rossi I was a bit irritated, sorry took no pics today ( for the same reason)
My apologies iIf I have misled people with some info I posted in this thread, I did not know either.
Well there's always a next time.Saluti!

Newin's goal is to make Buriram a sort of ( Motor)Sports capital, Buriram Beyond Ubelieveable is his Slogan.
Besides it's good to live nearby, I find it interesting following all recent developments, Untill now he's keeping his promises and besides money he has got influent friends. It looks like the sky is the limit.
I live In Buriram province more then 4 years and in those years, Infrastructure (roads) have greatly improved, shops like Homepro/Thaiwatasadu/Global house/Home IQ came to town, A very nice stadium has been build, a racetrack has been developed and build, new restaurants/ cinema/lively market Go Kart track,Ducati dealer and other Big bike shops
On it's way are: more hotels, a Robinson shoppingmall, Kawasaki dealer and the list goes on and on.
I'm not an expert on Thailand but but I believe there are not many other cities which have seen such developments in the last few years.
As I said before let's see how long it lasts and how far he can get.
