That strategy has failed and is no longer a negotiating chip. It has also resulted in the death/capture/surrender of top line troops and weaponry. There's no putting any icing on this cake. The Kursk salient has collapsed and it's a complete disaster for Zelensky.

Dmytro said. On March 14, his final message was bleak: "Everything is finished in the Kursk region... the operation was not successful."

Makes one wonder what the ex-comedian was thinking, depleting his best troops and our weaponry. Maybe he's basing these types of choices on his "Risk" game-board. He rolled good die and took that for a successful move. :whistling:

  2. I can only imagine what his robots are capable of construction-wise. Brings "I Robot" to mind. Just imagine the houses, roads and cities they could build for the future humans. Wonder if he has quietly discovered a "Tony Starkest" type of power source for them. The incredible precision they should be capable of, especially if he implants several AI chips. He could then upgrade the Optimus over the next 3 yrs by sending a new shipment of building supplies and use the updates received back from Mars to design compartments that humans can safely ride in. Exciting times we live in folks. Some of us are old enough to remember the 1st lunar landing and wishing we could go. :stoner::wai:

Exactly why Musk got involved with the Trump admin.  He just wants them to end all regulation, so he can get to Mars.

Curious as to which regulations has restricted him so far. Let's see, Feb.6th, 2023 "SpaceX put a Tesla sportscar into space five years ago."  so, 7+ now.

    In 2012:

12 years ago I took this photo when my crew and I captured the first SpaceX Dragon aboard ISS. More details in comments.

US has one of the toughest vetting process in the world and the percentage of approved entries are very low compare to other developed countries. This is just performative theatrics and diversion.

    Really? :coffee1:

It's difficult to definitively rank countries by the strictness of their immigration laws, but some nations known for their challenging immigration processes include Japan, Switzerland, and Qatar.

    Here's a more detailed look:

    Japan:

Japan is known for its strict naturalization requirements and is considered a challenging destination for immigrants. Some scholars suggest that Japan's low migrant inflows are due to its unattractiveness as a migrant destination, despite relatively lenient laws for high-skilled migrants.

    Switzerland:

Switzerland is also often cited as a country with difficult immigration laws.

    Qatar:

Qatar has the world's toughest criteria for citizenship, requiring a 25-year residency period, proficiency in Arabic, financial stability, and potentially conversion to Islam.

    Other Countries:

Other countries that are often mentioned as having tough immigration laws include Austria, Germany, and the United States.

Liechtenstein, Bhutan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, China and North Korea

are also considered some of the most difficult countries to get citizenship in the world. :wai:

You're claiming that the 2024 report from the House Budget Committee came from Biden appointees? Do you have a clue as to which political party was in control of the House in 2024? It is to laugh. Here's a clue from the first sentence of that press release you linked to:

Today, House Budget Committee Chairman Jodey Arrington (R-TX) released the following statement after the Consumer Price Index (CPI) report for September stated inflation grew at a rate of 3.7 percent and cumulative inflation under President Biden grew to a staggering 17.1 percent:

And you take me to task about reading when apparently you haven't even read the first sentence of what you linked to? Or do you still believe that Biden appointed Jody Arrington, a Republican? It is to laugh

And I was addressing the misleading claim that inflation rose 17.1 percent but didn't account for the rise in earnings that accompanied it.

Yellen was a Biden appointee - he even signed over presidential power to her.

Yellen on Dec. 22, 2023: "Over nearly two years, our sanctions have significantly weakened the Russian economy and undermined the Kremlin’s war effort."

    While in the real world:

10/28/21, 9:39 AM Biden lifts US sanctions on major Russian pipeline.

Your reference to "Control" in 2024 - the house was a 7 seat "R" majority (including 'rinos'), the senate was a 2 seat (and 4 "I" seats) for the "Ds". The Executive branch was "D" in name but really controlled by ... still being investigated.

"Can the House make laws without the Senate?

While both are equal in how they function, only the House can initiate tax and revenue-related legislation. And only the Senate can draft legislation related to presidential nominations and treaties."

So basically, the Dems have been in control from 2021-2025 (the 119th house of congress took their seats in Jan 2025 :wai:

Thank you for sharing with us that report from the Republican majority of House Budget Committe

For some reason, and I'm sure it was just an innocent oversight, they failed to mention how much incomes rose over that same period of time.

    https://www.factcheck.org/2024/06/competing-narratives-on-real-wages-incomes-under-biden/

The report I linked came from 2024 and Biden appointees. The REAL president didn't take office for about 6 months after the report. We're still searching for who was doing Biden's job for him via auto-pen.

    From your link:

"Both Scott and Yellen can cite economic data that support their claims. The difference between the two claims is that Scott analyzed changes in inflation-adjusted wages and incomes since President Joe Biden entered office in 2021, whereas Yellen began her analysis in 2019, arguing that the pandemic distorted evaluations that began when Biden entered office."

So, Sen Scott is looking purely at Biden while Yellen is including 1/2 of President Trump's 1st term to prop-up her story.

Don't worry Placeholder, soon you'll have a place of your own at the grown-ups table. That whole "Read BEFORE Posting" takes some getting used to. :stoner:

Families Crushed as Biden’s Total Inflation Breaks 17%

"“Hardworking families are being crushed by President Biden’s inflation-inducing fiscal policies. Today, a family of four is paying $15,133 per year, or $1,261 per month, more to purchase the same goods and services compared to the day President Biden took office. Every day, they are being forced to choose between medicine or the rent, putting food on the table or gas in the car. The American people cannot afford this Administration’s failed economic agenda."

The government is struggling to meet its manifesto pledge to recruit 6,500 new teachers, as shortages in the profession hit record highs. According to the National Foundation for Educational Research (NFER), teacher vacancies in England have surged to their highest levels since records began, casting doubt on the government’s ability to deliver on its promises.

This is great news! Brits may return home in droves with their heads held high as they enter the Teaching Profession for the betterment and pride of the empire. Should be dozens of empty barstools soon. :cheesy:

Seems every western government is refusing to learn the lessons that are so apparent in places like Germany, and will suffer for it.

You lot in Europe could follow President Trump's lead. Americans are behind him, especially after the last 4 yrs.

It would sure be nice if elected officials started ACTING like they're elected and not anointed. Stop all this BS 'leaning' and stand up straight and tall and correct bad things happening to the countries that entrusted you with their lives. :wai:

I guess you missed 'due process ' in the question posed.

A green card can not be revoked without due process.

and I guess your poor reading skills missed the part about "Due Process".

    Due Process:

"Khalil has been ordered to appear in front of an immigration judge on March 27 at the Lasalle Detention Facility in Louisiana."

They are going to need people like you this spring/summer in the cherry orchards. :cheesy:

  11. Why can't you lads get your sh!t together? Especially with a war on your horizon.

Zelensky just had another meeting with your "Leaders" and walked away looking like a man who had just been evicted from his own home.

With China and N.Korea poised to take advantage of the depletion of EU/NATO resources caused by Russia/Ukraine, you'd think they'd be looking at "CYA" when it comes to increasing the military. Wouldn't surprise me one bit to see Trump, Zelensky and Putin reach a peace agreement that includes carving up Europe since you can't defend yourselves. :coffee1::wai:

So the answer to my question is "No"?

Please share the "reasons" that a Green Card holder and the spouse of a U.S. citizen can be detained and deported without due process.

    Reasons:

"If a green card holder is accused of a crime, their criminal case will go through the justice system. But the process to revoke their permanent status takes place in immigration court, where officials must present evidence to justify revoking a green card."

"Revoking a green card is a legal process that starts when the U.S. government determines that an individual has violated immigration laws."

"The Department of Homeland Security usually initiates the process. The green card holder will receive a document known as a Notice to Appear in immigration court or, in serious cases, they may be arrested and detained."

    https://www.voanews.com/a/under-what-circumstances-can-a-us-green-card-be-revoked/8009714.html

    Due Process:

"Khalil has been ordered to appear in front of an immigration judge on March 27 at the Lasalle Detention Facility in Louisiana."

"Green cards can be revoked, New York-based immigration lawyer Linda Dakin-Grimm told VOA. “It's not that common, but it also isn't rare. People lose their green cards most often when they're convicted of crimes. … A green card is not citizenship."

    Fourteenth Amendment
Prohibits states from depriving anyone of life, liberty, or property without due process of law.
    Purpose
The Fourteenth Amendment was adopted after the Civil War to protect the rights of Black people and other citizens from discrimination by state governments.

The US Constitution was written with the exclusion of "Idiots and Morons" Guess it's time to add Democrats. :stoner:
