  1. No problem if the rental agreement is in your wife's name. The may accept just the rental agreement alone for a 60 day extension.
You wife will need to be with you when you apply. You will need your marriage certificate plus a copy, copies of your wife's house book registry and ID card.

Ok thank you very much. One last question, instead of 60days extension. Can I go for border run out and in on the same day? Laos or Cambodia
  2. Hi,guys. My friend ask me a interesting question. He talk about places where you can find girl companion like nana, soi cowboy, some other particulars places where freelancing girls can also be found. He mentioned about the boy bar raided and hi-so ladies involved as stated in the news recently. He ask is there any disco pub or any particular area where you can see those hiso ladies? Usually people won't get to see them in public. So after he bring up this topic. I started to be curious too. Does anyone know where does those Thai hiso man/lady hang around to pick their "dish"?

  3. Sorry I have bring this topic up again as I would like to confirm for latest update and plan my trip schedule.

1)I was been told that I can apply for the 60days extension of stay for non-imm O marriage visa within the last 30days. Let's say non-Imm O visa due date is 15 August 2016. Can we go apply the 60days on 22 July 2016?

    2) on the application form, I think we need to write our current address. But there is no official room rental paper form from the landlord. Will the immigration accept our application?

3)what else do we need for the 60days application?

    4) Current residence in pathum Thani, where should we go to apply?

    Thank you

    Thank you

  4. What country

    Thailand
Did you not report for the draft or did you got drafted and then not showed up for your service?

For the first one, 200 baht fine.

If you show up after you are 30 years old you don't have to go for the draft just pay the fine.

Got drafted and missing for 2 years.

  5. Wife can sell or mortgage the land any time she wants without anyone's permission (assuming she is over 20 years old),

Blue book has zero relevance to property ownership.

Once you obtain your own Yellow book (Tabian Baan), then you shouldn't have any issues arise where the blue book is required again.

The MIL has to sign, giving her permission for you to obtain a Yellow book as she is the blue book holder for that address.

As blackcab stated, a blue book has no relevance to ownership, that is in the deeds.

    Thank you for the info.

  6. I got a interesting issue from a friend. Wondering anyone here can help provide an answer.

My friend decided to apply for a yellow book and he went down to his local Amphur office with his wife only. Wth all his relevant documents, he was rejected and ask to arrange another appointment date as he need to bring the "Pu Yai" refer to the village chief and few neighbors along to prove his residence location. And here, he was also told to get his wife's mum come along as the mum is the main person/house in charge stated inside the blue book. (I don't know what they call in Thai). The issue is here, he got the impression that in future regarding to any kind of issue related to provide the blue book, wife's mum need to be present. But the house land is already transferred from mum to his wife. So the land ownership transferring is actually quite useless? Does it mean in future if his wife intend to sell/mortgage or whatever, she can't do it without her mum authorization as the mum is the main person inside the blue book?

  7. The non-imm O (marriage visa) 90 days due date is up, for example on 30 May. I would like to apply for the 60 days extension of stay.

Must I apply only on the last day of my non-imm O 90 days (30 May) or can i apply on the day before due date (29 May)?

Is there any official given period for me to apply the 60 days extension of stay? Lastly, when will the 60 days extension of stay begin?

On the day I apply or after the non-imm O 90days due date regardless when I have apply the 60 days extension?

    Thank you.

  8. Be sure to bring your wife with you for the application, as she will have to confirm that the two of you are living together.

only one 60 day extension per entry to Thailand. so after an extension a border crossing run will be required.

getting a fresh 90 day entry just prior to the expiry date of the actual visa, coupled with a 60 day entension will make the one year visa last almost 17 months

    Ok. Thanks! [emoji7]

  9. I saw the advices from TV is you can get the non-imm O from savanakhet and you need to leave Thailand every 90days but you can also choose to apply for a 60 days extension of stay based on marriage paying 1,900baht.

Where can I apply for this 60days extension of stay?

Can it be done in Phitsanulok immigration? (I assume not all immigration will do the process )

If my first 60 days extension of stay was done in Phitsanulok immigration,

Can my next 60 days extension of stay application do it in Bangkok immigration?

  10. 1. There is a covered parking area on the left as you approach the entrance to the border crossing. It is 250 baht per night.

    4. Yes. Collection after 2 pm the next day.

    5.

    • Original marriage certificate plus signed copy.
    • Signed copies of wife's ID and Tabien Baan.
    • Signed copies of your passport pages: ID page.
    • 2 x photos.
    • Application form Savannakhet .pdf
    • 5,000 baht.

in the corner of the square at the bus station 400 baht, clean big room with aircon, tv and fridge. cant remember the name

    Thank you for the info.

  11. Dear all, I know there are many posts regarding the same issue. Can't find the relevant old threads.

Need help for these. Thank you

    1. If going by own transport. Where is the good location to park your vehicle near the border? I mean for security reason. Make sure car is not lost.

    2. Any affordable hotel/resort near border BEFORE crossing to Savanaket?

    3. If we bring kids along, any advice for convenience cause?

    4. Is the timing the same? Today morning 9am-11am for application and next day for collection of visa?

    5. Any changes for the application process?

  12. You can request a single entry non "O" visa based on marriage which will provide one entry of 90 days.

What do you intend to do when that 90 day entry is coming to an end ?

    NB

A non "O" visa based on marriage is a non imm "O" visa

They are the same visa !

Ok, so it will only valid for a 90days period only.

I am really confused. Inside Thailand, the single entry non-imm O given by immigration branch is valid for 1 year. The applicant do not need to leave the Thailand.

Anyway, this issue is not much importance, more for clarification.

    Going to get the Multi-entry non-imm O.

    Thanks!

There is NO non "O" visa issued inside Thailand which is valid for one year.

An "extension of stay" (which is NOT a visa) is valid for one year.

    Ok, I understand now.

    One last question.

Is there any difference between the extension of stay based on marriage and non-imm O based on marriage? For example like acquiring Thai citizenship? They stated we need to have consecutive years of staying in Thailand.

  14. Hi Guys, would like to check with you all something.

In the Savannakhet Thai consulate, they only issue multi-entry non-imm O based on marriage? Can they issue the single-entry non-imm O based on marriage to us?

Or can we request for the single entry non-imm O? Let's say, some people are not going out of Thailand during the 1 year visa. Can they request for the single entry non-imm O instead of the multi-entry non-imm O and require to leave Thailand every 90days?

  15. Did I miss something. It seems to me to be really uncool to have a baby and not have yourself organized so that you can live here and provide support for child and mother?

Thank you for your concern. I have been in Thailand for the past few years and I have been supporting my wife. Presently I have misplan and overlook the period during my renewal of non-Imm O visa, my cash are stuck at elsewhere. I need to consider which is more affordable and less cost? Once I have the renew visa again, life for me in Thailand still be the same. Except this time having another new family member.

    Yeah.. :)

  16. A multiple entry non-o will allow unlimited 90 day entries for a year. You will need to leave the country every 90 days for a new entry. By doing an entry just before the visa expires you can get almost 15 months of total stay.

You mentioned the multiple entry non-o is it the same as the other guy mentioned multi-entry O visa from savanakhet thai consulate?

You mean I need to leave the country every 90 days for a new entry? Is it a complusory?

Is your multiple entry non-O same as the multi-entry non-imm O visa based on marriage?

    I'm confused.

They are the same visa just a different way of writing it.

Leaving the country is compulsory. You only get a 90 day permit to stay when you enter the country. You could apply for the 60 day extension to visit your wife instead of leaving but you have leave re-enter after it ended. That gives almost 5 months of stay without leaving.

This is interesting. All along I got the wrong impression that the multiple entry non-imm O visa for the marriage is to allow you to enter and exit Thailand as and when you like. I do not know about the after 90days need to exit complusory regulation.

So i think I got the whole picture. Go to Savannakhet and get the multiple entry non-imm O visa without the need showing proof of 400,000bht saving. It will be a 1 year visa but every 90 days need to re-enter thailand.

So the 5000bht is a one time payment right at the savannakhet? subsequent every 90 days I re-enter thailand, do i need to pay anything?

And you mentioned can apply for the 60days extension without leaving thailand. That means for example now I gotten the 1 year multiple entry non-imm O visa stated inside my passport. I just bring my passport to bangkok immigration and apply for 60days extension? Once this 60days extension date is due, I will have to exit thailand and re-enter.

That means i can stay in thailand for 5 months without leaving thailand. can I apply 2 time for this 60day extension in 1 year? That means i only need to re-enter twice in my 1 year multiple non-imm O if i use the 60days extension method twice?
