  1. My wife works, has her own money, I have mine, have been together 14 years, 5 as GF, 9 as man and wife. I do my own cooking, but if she comes into the kitchen when I am cooking, she always takes over, if I am peeling potatoes, or preparing any other food, she has to do it. Not an Issan girl, but still upcountry, no difference at all.
  2. My wife weighs over 50Kg, but she is 5ft 9ins tall.
  3. My only problem with Thais is that most of them, are nice, honest, reliable, nonconfrontational people, but with limited intelligence. Their road behavior is dreadful and bears that out. Please note, I am not saying all of them, but most of them.
  4. I live in a village/small town upcountry, but not in Issan. I don't think there is any difference, though at the moment there are no farangs living here or nearby.
  5. From what I have seen from farangs in the 14 years I have been here, who I have known for years, still know or who have died, moved away elsewhere, who have obvious drinking problems, I would say about 50%.
  6. Same office, different officers, different outcomes. You cannot win. This is Thailand.
  7. No wonder this country is in such a mess, each IO and officers in many cases just do or say what they want.
  8. This is one of the things where you do not know what to believe, where immigration is concerned, only listen to UbonJoe.
  9. Yes, if a monk sat beside me, I would get up and walk away, I don't want any mans bare flesh near me. The same applies to shirtless farangs.
  10. Sorry Rob, I respect your opinion, but I would not be comfortable sitting with someone with tattoos covering almost his whole body, some small ones no problem. I don't mind anyone disagreeing with me in normal circumstances, but appearance does matter to me, it can say a lot about people.
  11. "In my 62 years of life, I have never found that people with tattoos have a universal evil persona." True, but what about his mentality? Disfiguring himself like that.
  12. No wonder he got the virus, if that photo is anything to go by, he is obese. His mentality is also questionable if disfiguring himself with all these tattoos is anything to go by.
  13. "Cant really see 300 Baht (so around £7) being added to the ticket price becoming a barrier to visitors". Neither can I, but with also having the $5K insurance to pay? I most certainly can.
  14. "Easy peasy - now they can scrap insurance requirements for all visitors.". Of course they will. The unelected PM is a fair man. Is that right Steven100?
