There is no more an animal lover than me, but a dog attacking me when I am riding my bike is assault and it will be treated as such. I have hurt a few dogs over the years for attacking me and I make no apology for that.

When I go to the UK I carry a walking stick which folds in two and is very solid, I bought it ages ago in a charity shop for 2GBP. It is only for protection as there are many knife assaults in the UK, and a knife is only efficient when used close up.

I thought it was the Chinese that these "all you can eat" buffets were incompatible with.

I'm not a Yank, but if I was I would strongly object to this post. I have met lots of Americans, and none have that look. Apart from my own country's people, the Americans would be my first choice of people for company.

Excellent post, but I still say that Thailand is a much safer country than America, but unfortunately that does not apply to Thailand's dreadful road behavior. The Americans are way ahead there.

"Thailand is more dangerous than America," absolute garbage I have been to America a few times and seen the police with their guns out and frisking guys up against a wall, had to run into Memphis bus station for safety with my then girlfriend being chased by half a dozen guys for no reason whatsoever in broad daylight. I have been in Thailand now for 20 years, and walked through Bangkok and Pattaya many times, even at night without any problems whatsoever.

Going by all that deliberate disfigurement of his own body it is obvious the Yank has a very low IQ.

As Like other expats I contribute to the Thai economy, the boat people are illegals who do not contribute to the UK economy. This debate is now over, so run along.

Beware of buying anything from the US to get sent to Thailand. I am still waiting for something I ordered three weeks ago.

Maybe part of it depends on what he does or did for a living, if he was in the entertainment industry like me, or sports industry and was reasonably good looking, it is more than likely he would have more than 50 unless he was in a successful marriage for most of his life I don't feel I'm damaged in any way, and have been with my Thai wife for 20 years now. May I also point out that among all the musicians I have played with, to my knowledge there has only been one who was with the same lady, his wife, and never ever been with anyone else during his marriage.

I met my wife through an agency, we never married until we had been together for five years. She has not admitted to having university degrees although there are a few trophies in the cabinet. I don't think there are universities up country outside of the big cities, but plenty of colleges, I do know for a fact that she was in fulltime education up until she was 23, so is there any difference to university degree's and college degree's if you live upcountry?
