  1. The thing i can't quite grasp is that if i get the monthly option, then what happens if, say, in a couple of years i don't want lightroom any more? Will i not lose all my folders and albums and whole organization of all my photos? If i've catalogued all my pictures on lightroom, then surely all this would go if i ceased using it?

IF you let your membership lapse you can of course still access all your photos but you will not be able to use the developing tools.

  2. HUNDREDS? 'Been executed? Source please.

No answer, eh? Yeah. That's what I thought... "Hundreds". clap2.gif.pagespeed.ce.z5euFoXm0Jv9FQa1M cheesy.gif.pagespeed.ce.HaOxm9--ZvISAZ3- cheesy.gif.pagespeed.ce.HaOxm9--ZvISAZ3- Baloney on sale! Get yours here!

Hawker9000 - You might want to learn to read, and understand a point being made. It will help prevent you making a fool of yourself

I didn't say HUNDREDS have been executed - what I said was HUNDREDS of people have been mistakenly found guilty for crimes they didn't commit and if the death penalty had been in place would have been executed for it. Bear in mind this is a worldwide issue and spanning the history of crime so the HUNDREDS are actually comfortably THOUSANDS !!

There fixed it for you !

AGAIN!! Pure, and I mean 100% pure, unadulterated, undiluted, can't tell black from white, F-O-O-L-I-S-H SPECULATION!! The facts. Let's see the FACTS!! Go back as far as you want to go, but MAKE IT FACTUAL!!! Or, as you're actually doing, admit that you're guessing...

    OH, and YOU SAID:

"and the hundreds of people that have later been found to not have committed capital punishment crimes being executed is a price worth paying for the baying mobs out there is it?"

    Where's the "IF" in that???

Need to "fix" your own jibberish! You say it, you own it.

I didn't count, but quite a number in the USA alone: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_wrongful_convictions_in_the_United_States

And about 300 wrongfully executed in the USA since 1973 according to this study: http://www.newsweek.com/one-25-executed-us-innocent-study-claims-248889

  3. Again, apart from the cash: what makes you think that the Thais, or anyone else for that matter, need an unqualified volunteer. To paint fence posts? Dig crappers?

They are crying out for native English speakers to help the kids learn English just about everywhere especially ones who don't need 50k baht a month, aircon, 4g in. Nakhon nowhere.

Just being a native speaker does not a teacher make.....

  4. First of all, weighing yourself once a week is enough; as others have said there are daily fluctuations.

Secondly, if you are really eating 500 calories a day, and exercising, you will need medical help pretty soon!!! I believe the minimum for a male is 1,800 calories a day; your body is heading to go into starvation mode. (Muscle loss, slowing of metabolism).

No, read my OP again. I only consume about 500 Cals two days a week. the other five I eat normally and enjoy my tea and biscuits every night, five times a week.

Let me get my coat and buy some glasses........

  6. Only travel to Phnom Penh if you want to be in Phnom Penh for visas. You can arrange pretty much any ASEAN visa (and a few non-ASEAN too) from Siem Reap and while there are going to be some complaints from the PP crowd; Siem Reap is nicer than PP by a factor of about 50. Part of the reason for this is that we only have a single girly bar in town...

And that girly bar is the pits and where the sexpats make their last stand...

Pub Street is changing quickly; the working girls (mostly) disappeared a few years ago and now, due to rents going through the roof, the bars are following. I was never a big fan of Pub Street but factory outlets and shops catering to the Chinese are not an improvement. A lot of bars and restaurants are now moving down Sok San and BBU streets.

  7. I went along 2nd road the other day. The resurfacing is complete. But all the zebras/,pelican crossings have not been repainted. Pattaya city is just not interested in the one thing that keeps this city alive. Tourists. Tourists who in the main are pedestrians who need to cross both beach and 2nd roads as they go about their business of spending money.

This. I like walking (though not on Walking Street) and Pattaya, and indeed many Thai cities, are absolutely not geared towards that. Crossing streets is akin to Russian roulette and sidewalks are constantly cluttered and often in poor repair.

  8. These kids are complete cock trumpets but it caused an absolute shit storm in Vietnam. Rewards were offered for these kids to be found and given a good beating but I do not know if that ever happened.

Then why is the Vietnamese dog meat market so prolific?I reiterate they have no empathy for dogs whatsoever.bah.gif

Dogs kept in cramped cages and slaughtered for meals: The horrors of Vietnam's meat trade

You obviously do not know Vietnam very well. Most dog meat restaurants have closed due to lack of demand. I was married to Vietnamese (twice) in the 15 years I lived there; neither they nor anyone in their families has ever eaten dog. I do not condone the dog meat trade (though it could be argued what makes a beef steak better) but I do not appreciate generalizations like that. I do not know where you are from, and i do not care, but I am sure their are plenty of stereotypes about your country.

P.S.: I assume you are vegetarian, do not use leather goods, and only ride a pushbike?
