Not a fan of the bloke but this is newsworthy and people are getting worked up about it? He rode a motorcycle around for a bit, whoopy frickin do!
This!!! In a military compound no less.
I can think of quite a few stunts by Western heads of state that did considerably more damage but trust the Thai-bashing brigade to make a story out of where there is none.

I think it is Streak-eared too. Grey morph still has a black head.
I am really bad at identifying birds from descriptions as really we will all read the description differently. But I guess it was no accipiter after all?

Kevin Tahiango Theodore Okito doesn't sound typically French to me.
This is getting so old. Not all French are called Charles Henri Duval, just like not all Brits are called Jim Smith and just like not all Germans are called Fritz Mueller. If they have French passports, then that is what they are; regardless of names or skin color.

Some people need to chill a little. The guy went for a little joyride, he had a little fun. Did he break the law? Sure, but I wonder how many of the people here indulging in the usual bashing have ridden without a helmet or seatbelt or under the influence? I ma sure Thailand has bigger problems......

6. Are you allowed to hit the flight attendant if she serves nuts from a bag instead of on a plate? Yes/No?
That actually involved a Korean (and she was sentenced to a year in jail)..... But I do agree with the principle.

Don't believe any of those booking websites, the platform used is purely illustrated to try to sell rooms.
99% of the time the info will be incorrect so don't rely on it.
Walk in price is often cheapest ......
I guess it depends on the category of the hotel. I can assure you that in the upmarket hotels, walk-in prices are often much, much higher than what is on the 3rd-party and OTA (Online Travel Agent) sites.

I am a hotel manager and I can assure you that both "strike-through" and best rates are set by the hotel and the hotel only. If hotels are not listed, it is because they do not want to pay the (very) high commission.

Charges should definately be brought against the parents. RIP little one.
Sure, but there was also a lifeguard on duty.

Why many thais
And you just know where that is heeding with the first three words alone. Someone on a rant asking for confirmation of stereotypes........

The problem is that Chinese kids are little Emperors that are taught by their parents that whatever they want, they get. I had a couple on a flight today with a very scared boy around the same age and they managed to soothe the kid and have him put on their seat belt. The difference? They were Japanese.

You'd be surprised. I have at least a case a week of somebody being completely dehydrated (I work in a hotel), people just don;t drink enough.
Really?? Dehydrated so they need help???
That surprises me....
A lot of our guests are at the end of a 2-3 week trip through SE Asia and they have not been drinking enough the entire time. Often, they are elderly and out of shape. And walking through the ruins (I live in Siem Reap) can be an extremely hot affair.

Taken with my new toy this morning in Kaeng Krachan, the 150-600 Tamron. Noisy like hell but it was pretty dark.
i'll say !
but hey . . . that's the price you pay with these slow Tammy/Sigma's when shooting in the dark woods. It's not bad though, and it's an 'Orange-breasted Trogon' for those that may not know.
Would be a male and this would be a female, (I think).
Correct.

Its not that rare. The consumption of excessive water causes dilution of sodium levels.
Sodium is there to balance the fluid around your cells. If there is an imbalance then that fluid can pass from your blood into the cells causing swelling. Obviously if this occurs within the brain it can lead to big trouble.
Listen to your body, drink when you're thirsty
That is the general consensus now. Don't drink x pints of water a day, drink when you are thirsty. Having said that, temperatures and humidity in our parts of the world can be harsh and I do drink before going out for a long run or ride (water that is).
But I thing there is a huge margin of error that won't cause any immediate problem. Without sport I guess between 0.5 (OK kidney stones) and 10 liter (many proofed it with beer) per day seems to be no problem. Kidney is well balancing it if healthy.
Some people don't feel thirsty very well (and less when stressed), but with just a minimum of common sense it is doable.....And I think the bigger problem is when in the office and you forget to drink something.
So I can't see any real life problem

Not so much to do with exercise, I remember this story very well: http://www.nbcnews.com/id/16614865/ns/us_news-life/t/woman-dies-after-water-drinking-contest/#.VO8oEFOUfJ4
It is rare, but the problem with drinking too much before a marathon is not that you will die, it is carrying liters of sloshing liquid around. It will not be very comfortable.....
-
Can you use too much of this ?
and if so what would happen ?
and thanks for the picture
Actually, you can even have too much water. Apparently, a good number of people at Marathons these days are over-hydrated.

Maybe because Thailand doers not have a history as a colonial power? And where is it written that Thailand needs to apply French law; each country makes its own choices.
