  1. Hello, I asked for a TM30 at the place where I stay, which operates both as a hotel and apartment for rent. What I got does not look like a TM30 to me, but more like a printscreen of some system input. It has my passport number and name, but the date shown is incorrect (I did not arrive on that day, a week later actually), and the country is also incorrect. See the attached. Someone have an example of a TM30 form? Thanks.
  2. Hello, Can anyone recommend a good and reasonably priced translation service in Bangkok, that will also do the legalization? I need to translate and legalize documents for passport application for my kids. Any recommendations? Preferably one I could also mail the documents to. Thanks!
  3. Hi, I just did not expect it to be approved within 1 - 2 seconds. I signed in to TP to check and this is my status: So I downloaded the pdf with QR code. Guess it was approved within seconds. I would expect that someone would first check what I uploaded, but guess not. Or do they have the algorithm working properly? Anyhow, I got the QR code ????
  4. Hi all, I just did the online Thailand Pass registration, going through the steps/pages, uploading the images etc. When I hit the final "Submit" button, I instantly received two e-mail from [email protected] The first one (as it appears in my inbox) is titled: "Your registration on the Thailand Pass system has been approved". The second is titled: "Your registration on the Thailand Pass system". Oddly, the first e-mail says: I did not open the PFD. The second e-mail only says: Should I ignore the attached PDF and only check on Thailand Pass? Or was my application for Thailand Pass QR code actually approved within seconds? Thanks!
  5. Can anyone recommend from experience a Thai insurer to obtain the required Covid travel insurance from, online? How much does such insurance cost, for let's say 30-day cover?
  6. Hello, What are the current requirements when one wants to extend the 30-day stay in Thailand after having arrived on visa exempt? Does one only need a photograph and copy of passport? Thanks!
  7. Well I enquired with my travel insurer and while it is possible to get an insurance certificate or statement, in English, with mention of sum insured and Covid cover, it will only be provided if at the time of the request, the travel advisory color code for Thailand, as set by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is green or yellow. If orange or red, no certificate is issued. And they need the start and end date of the trip. So a lot comes down to timing and chance.
  8. I hadn't noticed that one yet, is this a requirement for all nationalities arriving in Thailand by air?
  9. Ok, I thought it applied to both. So one can enter a number of times per year by air, with a few months in between each visit.
  10. Bit off topic, but not too much: is the maximum of 2 visa exempt entries to Thailand per year still in place?
  11. @Kopitiam So I should let the hotel arrange the test, and have them send me some kind of confirmation or receipt, that I should then submit when applying with Thailand Pass?
  12. Hi Kimamey, Thanks for the reply. I see that you have taken out an insurance with a Thai insurer. I suppose it makes sense that the policy should mention the amount and Covid cover in English. I will enquire with my insurer about this. Thanks again.
  13. So just to be clear, one has to pay for the RT-PCR Test to be taken in Thailand on Day 1, in advance (even before starting to apply for Thailand Pass)? And booking a Day 1 stay with an SHA+ hotel, which package also includes airport pickup and RT-PCR test, does not make a difference regards having to pay for the RT-PCR test separately?
  14. What exactly does one have to submit: the full travel insurance policy in English, or just policy schedule in English, even if it is travel insurance taken out in your non English home country?
  15. @ubonjoe thanks for the clear answers. Good point on the airline checking for return/onward flight, I had forgotten about that one. @mrwebb8825 thanks for your comment. I understand that one has to have a pre-booked and paid reservation with an SHA+ hotel for the first night on the day of arrival, to be approved for a Thailand Pass, hence my question. I could use that address for the Tourist visa. I've had two shots (Moderna) and have an International Vaccination Certificate. This is the information I have on Thailand Pass (and I am aware that from 1st March onward the Day 5 hotel reservation is no longer required, and the minimum insurance coverage is lowered to USD 20,000): Thailand Pass will be open for registration under the Test and Go scheme commencing from 1 February 2022 at 9am (Thailand time) onwards. Fully vaccinated passengers travelling from all countries/territories are eligible to apply under the Test and Go scheme. Documents required for registration are as follows;   1. Passport and Visa (if required)   2. Certificate of Vaccination (vaccine approved by Thailand or WHO)   3. Insurance with minimum coverage of 50,000 USD for medical expenses (not required for Thai nationals / foreign residents in Thailand can use social security or certificate from their employer)   4. Paid Reservation Confirmation from SHA Extra+ / AQ Hotel for 2 nights (Day 1 and Day 5)   - Day 1 hotel reservation and fee for the 1st RT-PCR test and airport transfer.   - Day 5 hotel reservation and a fee for the 2nd RT-PCR test.   - If you plan to stay in Thailand for less than 5 days (including departing on Day 5), only the hotel booking for Day 1 (including 1 RT-PCR test fee and airport transfer) and confirmed flight itinerary indicating the date of departure will be required *Please be advised that the processing time for Thailand Pass is 3–7 working days. Applicants are advised to plan ahead and apply in advance for Thailand Pass at least 7 working days before their intended departure* *Due to the process which requires verification and authentication by hotels, it is advised that travellers book their hotel accommodation directly with the hotel*
  16. Hello, Thanks for the replies! I'd like to stay there for up to two months. So I am considering a single entry Tourist visa, that gives 60 days. I already checked out the E-visa online, which seems doable. Although one has to submit more documents than in the past, for just a tourist visa. I am just wondering if nowadays: - if you fly in on visa exempt, do they check the date of your return flight upon arrival (in case of arriving on visa exempt, but intending to extend it, so already having a return flight booked based on 60 days stay)? - if you indicate that you plan to stay 30 days (fly in on visa exempt), or 60 days (apply for TV prior), do you have to have your accommodation(s) fully booked for the whole duration of stay, and show it upon arrival/application for TV? - for the Thailand Pass application, do you only have to have a paid hotel reservation for the first night (day of arrival)? - regarding the Test & Go scheme: they note that you have to be fully vaccinated; but by that do they (Thailand) mean 2 shots, or now 3, or even 4 (eg. second booster shot in Europe). Any answers/advise would be greatly appreciated.
  17. Hello, I haven't been to Thailand for over 2 years due to the Covid situation. I plan to visit Thailand in early April, so I can finally see my kids again. I understand that the Test & Go scheme is in place, and that the requirement to test on the 5th day will soon be cancelled, as well as required health insurance coverage will be lowered to USD 20K. Can one now (or in April) still travel to Thailand and enter on visa exempt, when travelling from Europe/Netherlands? Or is an actual visa required? Thanks.
