How typical for some fragile faux snowflake to come on here and note their displeasure over something as benign as a word when someone has almost been raped and another has been murdered. How about get your priorities in order? Scum is a pretty average noun in the great scheme of things, but would describe the type of person that beats and rapes women to a tee without the need for OTT expletives. But that it would offend you or your kin-folk smacks more of misplaced idiomaticness than any flaw attributed to the humble user/inventor. For clarity, on a scale of 1 to 10, scum would be about a 2 or 3, and your 'on par' 'C' word is a big fat 11!

Why are you so into this? Almost sounds as though you have a vested interest. Either that or you are extremely green or trolling. Wind your head in! Where's the advantage and how do you know what wage was paid? If you take on a maid you will pay them well over the 'going rate' because you believe their wages are measly? Do you also tip 7-11 staff because they are similarly underpaid? She was a maid and was likely paid the going rate. There's only one victim here.

Well, it is significant that kids are not encouraged to speak out in class... for fear of ridiculing the teacher/questioning a superior? etc. Teachers are also a little bit dim/egotistical. Address those issues or it will never change.

Pretty sure if you were out of the country (otherwise engaged in another life, i.e. studying/living elsewhere), you are in the clear. Hardly think they'd stiff you while on holiday... you're a tourist.

There was a guy on here a while back who was questioned by H.Yai immigration office that he was on the wrong visa and should be extending rather than bouncing borders on a multi. I don't know the regs on this, but if you think about it, I guess the multi-O in the case of marriage is for those who travel a fair amount and don't spend all their time here, whereas to stay here long-term one should be extending and showing the money. Could they legitimately start making those on these visas extend instead? Would they have any grounds for refusing re-entry? 

Good on him for this, but along with corporal punishment, this pathetic behaviour will likely continue. I would like to read of an upset parent taking a pair of shears and repaying this 'teacher' in-kind.

But who's to know she didn't know she was pregnant? It was an emergency, she went to hospital like anybody would; it's not like she took delivery of a freakin three-piece suite and didn't want to pay. For the cheap seats, the private hospitals here can be absolute vampires... even simple paracetamol are MASSIVELY marked up. It's a disgrace and praying on a sick, in-distress young pregnant tourist is lower than low. I hope the place loses a ton of business and get's its name dragged through the mud.

Yep, unfortunately guilty by association in most places in the world. Unless you could somehow prove you knew nothing of the intention through a lawyer... probably stand more chance if you got together with the other 8 and denounce the perp. Best you could probably hope for is to negotiate the money, but at the end of the day, some poor soul has died and you don't want to get sent down for it. Careful what you sign when you pay up.

Have you been to Germany? its not scandinavia, where almost everybody has white hair and blue eyes(some years ago of course). There is plenty of black hair white german, and since first two living screen on the left are white there is big chance the rest is also. I'll guess we'll see.
