  1. they get it from farang men, the foolish ones who give it.

the ones who do anything the woman says as everytime he dont she threatens to split.

being that they have never had an even remotely attractive woman at home they will do almost anything not to lose her.

    even start bs'ing themselves.

that my friend is where the money is coming from, and its the foolish farang in debt, not the thai.

allways the sweet handsome man who suffers, when he is broke, he is a baaaaaaaaaaaad man, when he is broke, he is no longer handsome.

Is this anecdotal evidance or something that happened to you? as you seem to be very well informed

  2. I actually was there as this was happening ,but did not realize straight away that it was a suicide ,it was the wife that first saw the guy in the tree ,he must have been the one trying to stop her ,then we saw a pair of legs hanging ,gave us a bit of a shock ,we left as all hell was breaking loose with hundreds of people coming from the market to see what was happening .

poor soul ,but what a hell of a place to do it in front of so many people.

  3. I am not sure but at about 1 pm we were driving along the railway road and were just by the Market ,when we saw a bit of a comotion ,dozens of people were rushing to the side of the road and looking across the tracks as all the cars were stopped we jumped out to see what was happening and saw a body swinging around in the trees ,i assume it was someone commiting suicide ,did anyone else see the commotion.?

  4. ...

I got a client who is a mussie and hates jews with a passion.

    ...

Many people do. Not only Muslims. It's just an (unpleasant) fact of life.

To be honest i doubt if many Thais know what a Jew is ,they ceertainly know who muslims are and i have not met one who likes them.especially because of the trouble they cause down south.

  5. Yes really nice chap ,and have found him helpfull and reliable ,got him through Thai visa.

I just travelled from Udon where I am for 3 months to get him to do a 60,000klms service.

You work out what I think about Mr. Sakhda.

luckily we only live a couple of km"s away ,so he picks up our car ,although once when he did a small job it was quite pleasant sitting next to the river outside his house ,while his wife brought us drinkssmile.png

  6. I AM RETIRED ,IN FACT I "RETIRED" AT 55 BUT ENDED UP HAVING A BUISNESS HERE FOR SOME YEARS , NOW IAM BUSY DOING NOTHING ,WORKING THE WHOLE DAY THROUGH ,TRYING TO FIND LOTS OF THINGS NOT TO DO .

BUT I MUST ADMIT I AM NEVER BORED AND ALWAYS FIND SOMETHING THAT DOESNT REALY NEED TO BE DONE UNTILL LATER.

PS ,IT DOES HELP HAVING THE MONEY NOT TO HAVE TO DO IT.thumbsup.gif

  7. Only twice have i been asked for Thai price and shown my drivers licence and been told i must pay farang price once was in the "yellow sumbarine" as it was my sons birthday i paid ,the second time was at nong nooch ,we walked away (i believe they now accept your licence) at the zoo in Sri Racha ,we were with my daughter her husband and my grand daughter ,the lady asked were they our familly and i said yes ,so she said you can ALL go in for Thai price ,with no charge for the little one, a good day out there anytime.

  8. its next of kins pick-up now

(not yours -even if you paid for it )

i cant understand the logic of guys putting everything in their wife or gf name

and then going through a world of shit when it comes time to sell it thinking they still

own it because they paid for it

all my vehicles and assets are in my name ,its realy not that difficult guys ,in fact ,its

the exact same paperwork a thai fills in + proof of address to register any vehicle to

    a farang

Have some compassion, the man's partner has passed away, and all you can say is how you are so much smarter than him???

Tonybuak, I am sorry for your loss, My deepest condolences.

unfortunately in the absence of a will, the vehicle will go the next of kin.

From the use of the word Partner " I will assume that you were not legally married and that the vehicle was not

    part of community property.

IMO now it all depends on your relationship with the next of kin, if your relationship is good, maybe they will do the right thing and transfer title to you. The next of kin need to be there since you do not own the title.

    Beast of Luck to you

He didin't ask for your condolences and when his wife died the only thing he can think about is selling the car, so I guess it is ok to tell him that it was not smart to put the car in anybody's else name !

How do you know what, he thought about, all you know is the question he placed in his OP.

    No one ask for condolences,

I am at loss of words, what can I say? I am serious, I am at a loss...

How about good manners and social grace

    Social grace,good manners?

half the ex pats i have come across in 23 years of living and having a buisness here and that post here have the social graces and manners of an orang utang.

And as for putting things in your wife"s name ,many of us are married to decent women ,have fammilys and have no worries whatsoever of having things in their names.

  9. She wasnt attracted to me at first ,but eventually she started to when i made her laugh and offered her a job in our office ,the job didnt last long as she came for a holiday in the UK and we just sort of fell in love .

No she isnt a hi so half chinese ,but she is funny and careing and we still fool around like a pair of kids 18 years later.

  10. I had them two days ago and I got two corn tortillas per taco so it might depend who serves you. The meat was a little bit dry but overall it was okay.

You are having a laugh about excellent food elsewhere arent you? That foodhall is the worst in Pattaya l reckon. BTW I also tried the kebab the other day and not impressed at all. Sure you get plenty but it was very average.

I didn't like the kebab either. And yes, there are worse food courts. Basement of Tukcom, Big C on Suk, etc. I'm basically burned out on food courts.

Lets face it if you want "good" food then a food court is not the place to look ,its just something to keep you going after doing the shopping.

  11. I love all this roll over and stick your bum in the air advice.

Write them a letter setting out the facts , include a copy of their notice and finish by stating that you will deduct the excess. Deliver the letter with your adjusted payment and get a receipt.

If they cut you off call the police around.
