Yep same as if birth is given on a plane over the Atlantic for example or in an airport.

You trust Catholic schools?

I'd say any more than 3 cats makes them a crazy cat lady.

As its a lower school it doesn't count.Business as usual.
Hmm army golf course you say.I'm concerned,my local army golf course is next to a school.
Interested to see the outcome of that one.
That will be interesting, let us know the outcome please.
The amendment states 'educational institution' without excluding primary schools.
Many temples also have schools. This is going to get ugly.
Then I've heard tourist areas are excluded. So maybe a golf course falls under that?

I think 100 photos isn't enough. I'd go at least 150.

Most ppl come to Thailand for the bars and the girls. Shut these down, then most would question if there is a reason to visit or stay in the country ?
Maybe majority of single men go for bars and girls but not most people.
-
To reply to your question go for a walk on pattaya beach late at night near soi 6 you will find out how friendly and tolerant Thais are.
Narrow answer.

Just 2 questions:
Do you know what you are talking about?
Did you have to deal with nazism?
Sounds like Nazism.
No I didn't.
Do I care if you did? No.
-
I just hope that they don't start trying to interpret foreigners speaking about sensitive issues like the Junta or the monarchy. Surely Thais do not comprehend sarcasm and jokes nor do they understand criticism is not talking bad about someone or something.
TV is checked on a daily basis, sometime more,
I doubt you actually know, more a guess I'd say.
Unless you're working in that govt department, you're speculating.

So rather than shut down established businesses why not do some real work and enforce the drinking laws regarding age? If a person can't drink until they're 18 or whatever age it is in Thailand - then enforce that law. It's like banning motorbike sales because people don't wear crash helmets. Can't enforce a law? Let's dream up a new one then! If the bar serves under-age people then warn them, do it again, then close them down.
As a matter of interest, does this mean Tesco or 7-11 within 300 metres cannot sell alcohol now?
C'mon, you really think Thailand cares about responsible service of alcohol? No way.
They don't care about age, and they'll serve anyone till they can't walk.
-
So is there any compensation being paid? I don't see how a bar that cost a heap of cash to build can just be sent broke like that.

If you would ever need a reason not to buy a condo in Thailand and Pattaya in particular go and have a look at Nirrun Condos. A perfect example of what condos become after a couple of years neglect and fraudulent management.
Still thousands of decent condo blocks around.

I see that an increase of the GST is being considered despit Abbotts promise pre election that there would be no increase. Despite it's political unpopularity I think its a foregone conclusion, wouldn't be surprised if it was 5% or more. That would make Australia one of the most expensive countries in the World to live.
To be 1 of the best ain't cheap.

To me the law or rule whatever it is, is absurd.
Its punishing the shops not the kids. All it means is kids will have to walk further to get booze.

Sounds like Nazism.
I'd rather call it China-ism
With a splash of north Koreaism

Sounds like Nazism.

Excellent, I am currently being paid in US dollars. I love Australia but have left there due to the high tax and nanny state attitude.
High tax, high rates, high cost of food...they have turned the lucky country into a high cost and little return place.
Australians are truly being ripped off by the government...sure the place is nice but Aussies are paying a huge price for it compared to other country's.
Compared to what countries? Bit unfair to compare.
Tax is high, but any decent accountant gets it way down. Think it's 25% my original tax, it's down to 6% after they've finished. Granted that's to do with my line of work.
Anyway back to the op, I'm happy if it stays at or above 27. Once it starts into the 25 range, it's not much fun for a holiday.

Reminds me of David's story of his dog of 16 years moo moo.
Tragic story which still brings tears to my eyes.

I think he's angry at himself just as much as the treatment he's been receiving.

Medellin Colombia is listed.
People seriously retire there?
Think that list is written by a retired drug Lord.
