A shylock is an anti-Semitic term, a Jewish moneylender. Shyster is a word people think came from Shylock, but actually is a corruption of a German word, to originally refer to dishonest or fake lawyers. Ali Khamenei was basically a fake Grand Ayatollah.
"Shyster" is Yiddish for a sneaky, crooked lawyer.
Most often - but not always - applied to their own.

A significant percentage of Orthodox Jews are anti-Zionist.
It was mainly observant Jews who coexisted with Arabs for hundreds of years in many countries before the advent of Zionism.

Fetterman's positions and statements reflect the demographics and voting positions of his state. He is also not supportive of all of the Trump agenda.
I expect that the Democrats will go with a stand up honest man like Senator Kelly. That's a man who commands respect; His working class background is bonafide - his parents were police officers, with his mother being the 1st female police officer in West Orange, NJ, so that will attract a lot of working women's attention because he will understand how hard it is to work and to be a mother at the same time. He also stuck by a critically injured wife and helped her regain her life after an attempted murder by a gun toting nutcase. His academic qualifications are top notch. His MSc. in aeronautical engineering is impressive. More importantly, his military career is lengthy and distinguished, having flown combat missions in the Persian Gulf war. Unlike Vance, this man was in combat, taking risks, taking fire, and surviving 39 missions. And on top of that, he was an astronaut. Unlike Fetterman, he has a noticeable presence in the Senate. Fetterman is often absent , Kelly is not. This is an all American stand up guy with a good record of bipartisan effort and of legislative work.
Before kelly became a senator, he did the speech circuit and he gave one a conference I was attending. It is difficult to keep people's attention while they are chowing down on breakfast, but keep it he did, and he received a rousing standing ovation from the 300+ people in the room, many of whom were of the Republican voting demographic. Newsome is toxic and can't deliver the stability Kelly can.
Is it "depression" or some sort of brain damage?
Either way, he would be just what US voters might go for.
H.L. Mencken's famous quote on American Democracy nailed the current situation very well.

If they had been lawless and violent to the point where the local police were overwhelmed, then you would have seen the Navy's SP on the streets in force to restore order.
There are times and places where martial law is the only option.
The rotten inner cities of the USA are a prime example.

Nor would any Ukrainian be granted the security clearances necessary to arm, target, and fire them. They require secondary targeting systems which require clearances. Secondary systems requiring security clearances include the Theater Mission Planning Center (TMPC)/Afloat Planning System and Tomahawk Weapon Control System (TWCS), which handle classified mission data, including guidance from US mainframes and spy satellite imagery. Ukraine cannot access these due to restrictions on sharing US intelligence and targeting assistance. So the only people who can configure, arm, and fire a Tomahawk are US military service members with the necessary clearances, ie, Top Secret/SCI. So it's not Ukraine who would be firing the Tomahawk missiles at Russia, but the United States. And as our Brit friends would say, "That would be a Sticky Wicket."
If what you say is true - and we don't doubt that it is - it would nullify all the clueless warmongering posts on this thread.
