Those who fancy handling dead and dying rats should go with traps and rat-glue.
The more squeamish would opt for a poison that makes them crave water and be gone.
"Hit the road Rat, and don'tcha come back no mo, no mo
Hit the road rat...

Imagine marrying someone and not even remembering her name. Must have been a hell of night that one.
For sure.
Just lucky that it didn't include a facial tattoo.

This is a legit topic and one that is important to people who have school age children here in Chiang Mai.
But like so many threads on ThaiVisa it soon degenerated into foolishness.
The post on top of page 5 sums it up in a nutshell.

The 2053 outside cases is what people need to focus on here,
For sure... but if present trends continue the prisons will achieve herd-immunity before anywhere else and people will be trying to get in rather than out.

For sure.
A lot depends on personal preferences, but as a general proposition, Thailand beats Farangland by a country mile.

Stoicism was the standard for generations of American politicians, many of whom kept physical and emotional troubles under wraps.
Three decades after crying on camera helped sink Edmund Muskie's presidential campaign, signs of emotion are no longer the kiss of death in this age of heart-on-your-sleeve politics.

Google: lookpud shop chiang mai.
"Look paht" means "bead" in Thai and this shop has everything imaginable for making costume jewelery.
Wonderful place.
Totally agree.
That shop is fascinating, a great place to browse around.
You could get tricked out like a 1920s flapper and do it on the cheap.

The "experts" are full of beans.
Mass tourism isn't coming back to Thailand anytime soon.

Because some realize that it can produce the perfect environment for looting ????
Do big demos in Oz result in widespread looting?
Maybe they do and it's not just certain minorities who do it.

That is a good answer to a simple-minded question.

Never heard of mosquitos in a sewage [septic] tank.
You would think it would be too toxic for anything but bacteria to live in.
In any other kind of a tank the introduction of small fish usually solve the problem. They eat the luk nahm as fast as they appear.
We have little fish in our lotus ponds and no problems with mosquitos.

Yes, you've got the script right.
Not only the script, but the reality that followed it.
Spot on.
It was a foreseeable disaster from the beginning.
Now the real tabloid circus will get underway

Well that's the local residents lives turned upside down, will no longer be a small coastal community.
Harry and Meghan will become the main industry in the little town.
Hordes of paparazzi following the royal couple wherever they are.
Security agents omnipresent when these celebrities are in residence.
There's money to be made off people in high places.

The Writers Club & Wine Bar, 141/3 Rachadamnoen on the way to Wat Phra Singh is where they used to occasionally meet.
That would be a good place to ask for information.

Has anybody ever seen it for sale in Thailand?
If it's not available here, is there a good substitute?
Any information would be appreciated.

The Photo and Copy Shop is across the road from Immigration. If you park in the Spa car park next door do your copy chores before crossing to Immigration. It's 4 lanes of quite heavy traffic you're facing - most of it determined to get to, or away from, the airport as quickly as possible.
Thanks for that helpful information.

Where is the best place to have photos taken to be included with an extension of stay application?
There was a convenient photocopy shop near the Promenada IO. Is there something similar near the new offices?
Also, what are the current requirements for size and background color?
Any information would be appreciated.

As a general rule to watering any plants which are in direct sunlight .. Avoid getting the leaves wet. otherwise they will scorch in the sun, much like using a magnifying glass as a kid to start a fire or pop some ants. Water the soil only.
Where I stay we have a gardner who sprays the leaves thinking he's giving the plants a drink. Clearly not qualified for the job. I'm often out there snipping off the scorched stems and leaves.
That sounds like good common sense.
Also something that would apply to Thailand even more than the Northeastern US where we're from.

Where to buy them in or near Chiang Mai?
Kham Tieng is what came to mind at first, but no luck there.
Cement replicas OK if the design is right.
Any information would be appreciated.
