  1. The prospect of any country's military invading and occupying Thailand is ludicrous. The US and China both want influence here. Let them come up with some solutions for the #1 health issue in Thailand - air pollution caused by agricultural burning. Singapore has had success recently by going after the companies responsible for it wherever they are in the region. That's what they all should be doing instead of engaging in these farcical military excercises.
  2. What you get at these big coffee chains can vary considerably depending on how you order what you want - preferably in Thai. Know the ingredients and specify exactly the amounts. Otherwise, it's pot luck.
  3. Wouldn't that be a wonderful outcome 555 😄
  4. Why not go back to one of those countries where you can hobnob with Nobel prizewinners and Fields' medalists while at the same time learning the local language for free? Thailand doesn't seem to be your cup of tea.
  5. Neighbours with barking dogs are a common problem in Thailand. If you live next to them perhaps one of the various electronic barking control devices would solve the problem. Many are available online and worth a try to maintain sanity.
  6. Just like he promised to solve Bangkok's traffic jams back in the day. This guy is a scam artist himself.
  7. You know of course, "len wâao" - fly a kite, means masturbation in Thai.
  8. That's a real howler, Khun Sudarat. The Shinawatra Clan wrote the book on transnational crime. Are you totally ignorant of the recent history of your own country?
  9. This jerk is discrediting legitimate pro-Palestinian/anti Zionist protests by combining them with looney anti-colonialism.
  10. That's true nowadays. The post you replied to was true of the good old/bad old days. I don't think I'm alone in missing them.
  11. Maybe they've been too busy borrowing his wife.
  12. No matter what happens in this relationship keep your distance. Don't get involved in any way, shape, or form.
  13. Considering the never-ending conflict in and around Israel it is hardly the place any sane person would go for "...better financial opportunities." The issues with Israeli employers are nothing new and go back a long time as well. If this case gets a lot of publicity in Isan it may discourage others from going anywhere near that cesspool of violence.
  14. ...and forgot - or didn't bother - to dress appropriately for her arrival as the representative of her country.
  15. A while back it was "Operation Black Eagle" to deal with crime in the streets - notably Lower Suky. Now it is "Operation Black Horse Down" to deal with crime in the suites. Keep up the pressure on them until they find another country to do their dirty business.
  16. You sound like a mean mother****er
  17. He looks ghastly. The PR photo ops aren't what they used to be.
  18. Agreed. They would be considered good anywhere, but in CM they are the best of the best... IMHO.
  19. Mr. Feel-good. A Shin flunky making the rounds and promoting the brand. Disgusting, considering what Chiang Mai has been through this past week.
  20. Condolences to this hapless man's family and friends. As someone working for a living he is likely to have had dependents as well. A posthumous "Darwin Award" is richly deserved in this case.
  21. She will last as long as her father Thaksin lasts and not a moment longer.
  22. They try to copy everything. You've heard of the "missionary position" haven't you?
  23. The ackee fruit never falls far from the tree in Jamaica. The prospect of having a family member in the White House must have them all singing the Internationale with wild exuberance.
  24. Spot on. I was going to ask why he didn't mention China. Just an oversight on his part, I'm sure. He's wired this morning.
  25. My take on this - and I may be wrong - is that the OP is anticipating some sort of domestic calamity rather than a worldwide apocalypse.
