China are cheeky bastards! How about banning all their planes for the Covid-19 in the first place!

This is a field day for hospitals. Everything from a sore throat to a bumped toe could be written up as a possible covid-19 case just so they can squeeze as much out of these policies as possible. Lots of new Mercedes-Benz's on the road soon owned by doctors and hospital directors. That is until it becomes to expensive for any tourist to get health cover. Just another goose that lays the golden egg that Thailand will slaughter in the name of greed. 

Basically they are after digital nomads. Wasn't it a few years ago that they were kicking these people out for not having Thai work permits?? I think it's about time that Thailand reverses this draconian law and allow people to work in any job if they have the knowledge or skill. It's not difficult and I expect more foreigners are likely to pay tax rather than their Thai counterparts. 

I hope the thais will now see what kind of government they have in place. As far as I know, no other government in any country has banned its people from consuming alcohol at home. The <deleted> will hit the fan soon. 

Would have been better to stop people moving around the country and keep them in BKK. They could have set upset up food banks at the hundreds of temples that litter the city for people to be able to get free food and water. Well done, this was a well thought out plan and you expect them to self-quarantine for 14 days??? This government is pure and simply the most incompetent bunch of <deleted> wits that has ever had to deal with anything more challenging than decided what they will each for lunch each day.

So BKK Immigration head office said it would be fine to extend visas immaterial of the visas nature until the situation is under control. Just fill in the form and pay the fee. But Phuket Immigration are using their own set of rules and making it up as they go along. I would of been straight on the hotline to Immigration asking who actually sets the rules, Phuket or Bangkok? Useless bunch of time wasters all of them anyway

I am just waiting for the baht to explode as too many people are already in debt and the housing building boom is out of control. Possibly a re-occurrence of 1997. No way the banks can talk their way out of obviously making the baht strong with no financial backing.

I wish they would just sort the bloody thing out now. The vote was to leave and thats it no deal or backstop. Tired to death of it and it is not helping by keep drawing it out. We clearly dont want to be in the EU so accept the vote.

Brexit is just an excuse being used by the BOT. They have been floating the baht way too high against foreign currency and it will come back to bite them. Already there are reports of tourist numbers down plus foreign companies investing in Thailand are slowing. Even domestic spending is slowing down as things are getting to expensive for the common person. If the BOT does not start to fix what they have done Thailand's bubble will burst and it will plunge into the same problem it had in 1997 and the economy will crash! Time to get the old generation out of government positions as they are only there trying to line their pockets before they retire.

Good on the condo owners. This is Thailand not China. If you want to listen to that horrible screechy music and screechy, whiny singing bugger off to China. I even bet the condo owner is Thai/Chinese. 

This is BS, everything tourists and long stayers buy is taxed. It's not the foreigner's fault that they can't manage or dig into the trough to suit themselves. They want the cake and also another double helping. Not going to happen! Thailand needs to learn that the years of screwing tourists out of money are over and they need to get their affairs in order.
