I had been to Thailand with free 30 day Visa with multiple exits/entries into Myanmar. In Passport. I had returned to USA and did the Portland Visa application about 6 months later. It was a category O with multiple entries. It gave me a beginning date to be used before as long as my Passportt remained valid. The a issued date, the expire date was (used before date) 1 year later. I can show a photo of this Passport page if needed.

Again my first Visa application was a Non Immigant Visa Category O. and Signed by Honorary Consulant General. I submitted everything needed including photo(s) and Fees to Portland Office. My returned Passport had Consulant General's Stamp, a Fees paid and a Multiple Journey (Entry) Stamp. Finally an issued Stamp plus a expire (used before) Stamp. Of course it also had O Visa Issue number.

Here is copy of my first Visa this was a 90 day valid from 25 July to 22 October. Yes, not as I quoted before 18 years this started my continuous stay 15 years ago. This gave me 90days to do a Retirement O Non Immigrant 1 year Visa in Chiangmai.

I am here at Immigration in Chiangmai ( Yes I know it's late. A bunch of us are sharing some Budwiser that friend from Thai Air dropped off. They are taking names and I.P. addresses of the ones here who are saying we don't need a Retirement Savings Account. They know I have and so this includes the other 4 Expats sitting here. Might be some Soul Searching through there Data based here. I advise to not befriend anyone here if you could be on the list who says we don't need... Just saying...

Most Retirement accounts cannot have CcC attached. ONLY YOU HAVE ACCESS. In other words to function it's Face to Face, must present your Passport. Only you have access.

I have 4 accounts, regular with Debit Card, Retirement Account and Savings (Used for major purchases.) Interest from Retirement account is automatically transferred here. SSI Account for Retirement Deposits (Monthly) this also gets my Transfers from my Money Market Accounts. Again only I have access, any dealings with Bank are face/face must present Passport which is a 2nd security measure as I sign a copy and it is used to compare with Bankbook and Photo is used to verify I am the Owner of account.

It sounds and looks like alot, it's really quite simple. The only accounts anyone else has access to is the Debit Card Account and the Interest Bearing Account.

This has worked quite well since 2005.  I am secure and my wife is HAPPY!

Thas all that really matters, Right?

Now, having said all that, I had encountered a scrap-picker who would come around just minutes before the garbage truck.  He would open bags and strew the contents hither and yon.  That happened only once, or maybe twice.  Anyway, the following week I monitored his doings, and asked him to pick up after himself.  He doesn't come around anymore.

I tried that I now have option to connect a motion detector with an Air Horn or a Strobe Light... or pellet rifle (Note: I never saw a Dog who could untie bags!!) Maybe a Camera record 10 minutes of action each time!!

Is anyone experiencing issues with Garbage/Trash pick up? 

For 15 years, every morning Garbage Truck rolled up and Trash was collected. No for the last 2-3 months we go 2 or 3 Days with Trash Bags stacking up on the Curb. Some one... or Something... is spreading trash all over the sidewalk and street. I have caught Dogs running amuck and tried to chase them off, doesn't work. I use a large bage that will have all the house trash in separate bags. House trash,,, Pet waste..., Etc. I have gotten to where I have triple tied the main bag (3 Knots). I say "Whoever is doing this is untying the main bag... Not Tearing it the others are either untie or torn. 

This is spreading Raw Dog and Cat Manure up and down the street to spread disease and people to walk in. What can be done? Can I sit outside with pellet Rifle (Scoped) and inflict pain (not kill). No one does anything about the return of what they call "The Soi Dogs"... But that's not the case People are letting their Dogs run at Night Under the Cover of Darkness. I know where 2 live and have thought about if they want to play in it... Take and Dump in their Driveway!

If the Trash Officials are doing this then they need to supply HD Trash Cans with lids!! Get the Police or Dog Wordans to patrol our streeets at Night!

I was posting here in regards to a couple of other Retiree's. I was looking to see if anyone else was experiencing the same issue as they were. I was but as I had done over the years already. Again as I stated before Manila is our FBU Office, I had already sent emails for these Individuals, since they had no computers. (Just being friendly and helping out some of my Neighbors here in Chiangmai, since the U.S. Consultant's Office as well as the Embassy in Bangkok, refuse to get involved in any FBU matters).

The first part of this message here down to the amount I would receive each month is verbatim! only thing missing is the X'd out dollar values as it's no one elses concern. Both of the Ladies I was trying to help had same letters, that they produced.

So Dollar values stating I would receive and date of deposits pretty much firms up a commitment since it's written and signed by Social Security Office on their Letterhead. Manila says if not received they have a commitment to explain why.

Hey I am not argueing with you I am just searching to see if there are others out there with same issue...

Mine has been done as a Direct Deposit by Social Security Administration thru BBL since 2005. Every once in a while, there is an issue. One year it got bypast as employees changed shifts thinking it was already complete instead of checking.

Here it is May 6th and no check or Bank deposit yet this month. I was guaranteed on the 3rd of every month my SSI would be wire transferred to (in my case) Bank of Bangkok LTD. offices in New York, N.Y.  The latest it had ever been was 6pm, on the 4th.

For those who don't understand those Americans, who are retired and have applied for their Guaranteed Retirement check. from personal files that they paid into the total time working (Life) or until they received 40 credits. Were guaranteed (promised) that on their Birthday each month they would receive a check or a Directed Deposit. Most of us have other funds available, but worry when allotment time comes and.... NOTHING...

Was it missed? Banks misplaced it? Somone diverted it? We have to ask as they won't volunteer any info. Plus here in Thailand the Office we have to deal with is in Manila. Then they won't answer for 10 Business (working days). I bet "No One in the Federal Government" would wait 10 Days to get paid! Without calling Foul! Everyone else deals with their U.S. Embassy in their respective Country of residence.

I know there are some seniors who need this Pittance on time, monthly. and would go wthout eating, or if it happened too often, a bed to sleep in. As Landlords don't wait to find the next Tenant! 

Thailand... Do you want Tourists to come to Thailand... Or NOT??

Why not just go to the nearest Police Station and "SHOOT" Your right foot.

Really trying to kill it here for all the singles (male or female) who might have planned a visit.

First I would like to see the electronic Information stored with these photo's. Like Date, Time and Place! It is easy to post pictures and use headlines blaming someone . Then in the article post something completely opposite...

Did the Photographer have permission to use Photographs of these individuals? Blocking face out does to things. Yet to prove the statement made at there is no evidence. Provide Penson (s) involved with a good case of Defamation to be filed against Company, Employees or anyone Involved with posting unauthorized Photos to the Public.

I have been here for also 20 years, 99% of the Visitors here do comply 100% with Government and Police requests and Laws. Quite a different Story when it comes to Citizens here, and that is exactly why nothing is done. Who wants to read a Paper 98% full of Thai information? Nobody... It doesn't sell News! They need something exciting  to print, make up... to gain Income.

Today in Chiang Mai, May 6th 2021, sitting on my 2nd floor patio watching people go by 0 out of 10 people walking without masks were foreigners. The New Law requiring 2 or more people in Vehicles (anything Cars, Trucks, Motorcycles) 1 out of 70 people in 20 minutes was a Foreigner. Basicly what this Article was stating but trying to get Interest by showing suppoidly Visitors (maybe this isn't even a Thai Resort... who knows or wants to prove different. (I happen to know the the person on the right in the picture!) 

So who is breaking the Law here and escaping Justice??

Wrong! I am in Chiang Mai... GPS was and is  (right now) showing me either in Chiang Rai or Lampang.. Accuracy depends on Tower being used. Or how efficient Companies want their equipment to be... Here Cheaper is considered better (more money in some ones pocket!)
