  1. Still makes no sense.

However deep the ocean the 777 is full of crap that floats. Someone want to assert that the plane is intact 2 miles down? I don't buy any of the so far aired 'conspiracy' theories/; though I think it is possible, for various reasons, the captain went 'amok'. In the absence of debris I have to conclude the plane is on land!

I think there is lots of inconvenient information that, one day, may or may not, emerge.

Thank you! you have reflected, Something I find it hard to believe.. but inevitablely conclusive....

  2. Mini-sub aborts first search for MH370

    April 15, 2014 8:05 am

SYDNEY - A mini-sub hunting for Malaysian jet MH370 aborted its first search of the remote Indian Ocean seabed after just six hours because the water was deeper than its operating limits, officials said Tuesday.

The unmanned submarine loaded with sonar to map the ocean floor deployed Monday night from the Australian ship Ocean Shield which has spearheaded the hunt for the Boeing 777 that vanished on March 8.

"After completing around six hours of its mission, Bluefin-21 exceeded its operating depth limit of 4,500 metres and its built in safety feature returned it to the surface," JACC said, without detailing the exact depth of operations.

"The six hours of data gathered by the Autonomous Underwater Vehicle is currently being extracted and analysed," JACC said.

The AUV had been due to spend up to 16 hours collecting data.

    AFP / source: Nation

Has anyone heard of any action being undertaken to bring in an AUV/ROV which is capable of going to a depth of more than 4500 meters. The 'plain' where the search is being undertaken apparently varies in depth from 4,000 meters to 5,300 meters, although I surmise that depth knowledge and mapping of this area is far from complete.

I find it rather disappointing that Bluefin was found to be inadequate so early in it's efforts. It was scanning guided by "distance above the ocean floor", when it automatically de-deployed because it was going below its depth capability ( 4,500 meters). I suppose they can continue with Bluefin and leave out the areas that are too deep - perhaps later map and scan those deep areas with HMS Echo's sonar.

It leaves one wondering "what now ?"

According to an interview I watched between CNN and a USN Captain, the Bluefin was calibrated to operate within a range of 4100 to 4300 meters.

When it hit more than that depth in the ocean floor they had to retrieve it and will recalibrate it to operate at a lower depth

I don't seem to get the Logic behind this...

We knew before Bluefin was deployed that it was going to be operating at close to Max Depth... Correct?

Why did they not have already on stand-by the 2nd Sub if Depths turned out as they have...Too Deep!!

Or is this another Delay Tactic... For whatever reason readers, Viewers, Family Members can visualize...?

I think if there was an Olympic Medal or Diamond laden Gold Star for "Most Delays being Implimented without having to complete any Serious Inquiries...." This Ordeal has Won the Highest Possible Award ever conceived!!!

This delay if they haven't yet Ordered Mini Sub (For depth 7000 Meters) will truely insure that to what possible extent Batteries have been insured they are dead.... What Party is requesting this Information? So to argue no need to deploy 2nd Sub? To insure what ever is here (this is just Theory...)is not found... Insuring one one prove this is NOT MH370's final resting place?

Again this is Ideas being Mulled not only by me but others in several other Nations as "Thoughts". God Help us if this is reveiled to have any portion end up being true.

Then again, if by accident something is found it will be sealed from exposure for say...100 years? We in America have had our share of these sealed incidents!!!

I for one would like to see tue closure for the Families affected here, only Decent Result Possible....

  3. Some interesting Quotes: (Thanks PPrune)

    Quote:

    Just on CNN:

The MAS CEO declared during a press conference that the FDR / CVR - ULB maintenance records indicate that the ULB battery due date is June 2014.

    Quote:

At what intervals are the batteries usually changed? In general, how substantial (or how minimal) is the likely drop-off between the projected pinging duration (beyond 30 days) of a newly installed battery versus one due to be replaced soon? (I realize 30 days is the minimum requirement and that individual batteries may differ).

The Batteries have up to 8 years from new until replacement. Dukane allow for some storage though, and so the minimum you will get at point-of-sale is 6 years.

Unfortunately for the SAR effort for MAS370, it looks like these batteries (if the June 2014 expiry is correct) are end of life units, meaning that they will not last long beyond their certified 30 Day life.

    Also this:

    Quote:

    Quoting from avherald.com:

The manufacturer of the underwater locator beacons (ULB), that were mounted to the flight data and cockpit voice recorders of MH-370, specified their ULB would transmit ultrasonic pulsed sounds at 37.5kHz +/- 1kHz at 160dB (re 1µPa). After a period of 30 days the ULB would still transmit at that frequency at 157 dB. The manufacturer did not publish any data beyond 30 days (certification criteria). Other manufacturers specifying their ULBs also at 160dB initially and 157dB after 30 days state the ULB would still transmit after 90 days though at around 150dB, the frequency drift may exceed 1kHz.

  4. An interesting brief interview with he Vice-President of Inmarsat from YouTube in which he states the addition of a "locator" could be added into their system for about $1 per hour per plane, with a frequency of every 15 minutes. I would presume that this would be added to the ping/response package which was used to trace MH370 to the South Indian Ocean. Adding it to ACARs would be of little effect since ACARS can be disabled.

It at least shows that people are serching for economic and viable solutions to the a/c tracking problem.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=eCAle7_TEns

They said this very early on, would cost $10 a flight on average, adding, what, cents to the price of a ticket?

But it got jumped all over by the bean counters of course.

    whistling.gif

AFAIK this is a new proposal for an every 15 minute ping specifically for a/c tracking. The $10 per flight subscription, which as you pointed out the bean counters rejected, is for ACARS reporting via SATCOM rather than by VHF.

inmarsat already have the bolton GPS service but at under $20 malaysia airlines rejected it ,the equipment is already on board

okay... $20 and rlay to activate ASCAR if power interupted.... I think after this, whoever voted to reject it will be voted out of Corporate Structure... Sure would have been a whole lot Cheaper!
  5. I agree that "adding a GPS loc" to ACARS would be viable but I am having trouble wrapping my head around "making it RAT powered when the electrical supply is interrupted". Are you saying that if power is interrupted either manually or by failure, etc when the a/c is at FL350 under autopilot, that the RAT should be auto-deployed ? This would necessitate massive changes to both the RAT and other control systems -- or would ACARS have its own RAT ?

Massive? Why? The wiring is already there.

Sent from my SM-N9005 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

The existing RAT is designed to be used only after the engine generators and, in many cases, the APU are unable to supply minimal power needs of the aircraft. The RAT only provides power and hydraulics to minimum systems to facilitate the opportunity to bring the a/c safely to the ground. Most circuitry is not designed for the possibility of more than one simultaneous power source. Similarly, hydraulic systems are not designed to employ two competing sources of hydraulic pressure. I am no engineer, but I can not envision these systems simultaneously functioning properly, without considerable redesign. Perhaps an aircraft systems engineer might be able to comment better on this.

To add RAT to system would only need either a single pole (or double depending on voltage) relay switch (1-2 set normally closed 1-2 sets normally open contacts..) would be made to power relay for normal operation, power off would automaticly energize Rat when relay powered off...easy! The rest of the wiring is already there!!

Not trying to be picky but by "energize RAT" do you mean deploy/ activate RAT? You do realize at this poInt that you are also activating 'last resort' power to a few essential systems and hydraulics - can you tell me how this one relay will isolate the other RAT electrical supplies from the from all main systems ( which are presumably still energized by the generators), while at the same time allowing it to allow these other RAT electrical supplies to function in the event the main generators, secondary generators (if any) and APU fail ? I am no engineer , so I do not understand.

What I said was useing a relay with contacts N/O and normally closed either in single or dual concept (depending on Voltage) If ASCAR system shut down manual or otherwise powered relay would OPEN killing any connection to system wiring... Ok so far? When relay opens it closes other contacts to power ASCAR by Backup emergency power (RAT) whether it is already supplied in Plane or stand-alone it would also energize GPS being dual contacts, when power to relay is interupted... So GPS would only be in emergency situations... ok?

At this point if Sat picks up signal from GPS... 1st thing we would know is trouble onboard Aircraft. You could also program into Software when Aircraft is deviated from Planned route to kill relay... sending same info to Sat. Both are easy! Pilot would have 4 minutes to enter code from Ground Controllers to authorize deviation into Fight Computer. Only code supplied by Controller would Plane Recognise.

  6. ACARS already sends out a range of useful data, just adding a GPS loc and making it RAT powered when the electrical supply is interrupted would be a relatively simple change.

  7. Maybe not face maybe attention maybe because her friend had one

    Normal and natural?

As you call it the twisted western society pays benefits for teen moms.

Having a baby comes with responsibilities not just dump them on mums lap to take care of .

Both in the east and west.

In the west you do not have to dump it on mum and dad ,as the councill will give you a flat ,the state will give you money and you need never work a day in your life.

Maybe with the new "Federal/State Cuts" that are the White house is forcasting Congress is try to past. They won't have these "Perks" anymore...
  8. I thought she said she was already removed from "Office" Because in another post she says <Quote:> I cannot be removed from Office of Caretaker PM... "Because I have already been removed!"

Then as another twist how can she name anbody as to be in charge of anything..... If she "In her own words" " I have already been removed as Caretaker PM, of this Government....."

Does it mean she has two mouths to speak from? Not sure I want to see the uglyness of the other.... Or is this a new Movie.... "Two Faces of Thailand...."

  9. Remember the only signal they would have gotten would have been a possible "Ping" I have already addressed if they did get something on Primary Radar... But the chances of them paying attention... pretty nill. And then if they got a "Ping" getting dismissed +80% because nothing on Scope.... Remember we not not talking Western or Europe here... also the time of the night... was anyone really paying attention.... Maylasia and Thialand werenot... not till they were repettedly asked to review Logs..?? Correct?

Since there was no elevated Alert Status here anywhere... who was really watching screen??? Don't think it was their Best... not at this time of the Morning...

    Just conjuctures (Thoughts... ok?)

  10. We did it many times in Vietnam hiding multiple F4's, F-16's... F104's together (4-6 Aircraft) Also completely hidden above and below B58 and B57's is strike forces. Later Militaries version of 767 also sucessfully hid multiple Aircraft making Radar think just Cargo Flight. It is possible for Tankers to real in and under Cutomers to keep them hidden until loads were compleed.

It could be done... Dangers is always there... Easier to be hidden if Lead Plane doesn't know who or what is in tow, for sure! The pilot who wants to be hidden has to be qualified!!

If its Dark...Night and your not Squaking and all systems disabled... It is possible to be in shadow until predetermind point is reached and break away. I is already a proven point that radar has missed you on your way out of South China Sea... At cruising Altitude one r two Pings are not going to be an issue as "Where the Hell did that come from"? Possibly they are going to reset controls and pass off as Junk reading... As after reset nothing is on sceen... They are not going to look at Reflective signals here because... Our Radar shows... "Nothing" and go back to Donuts and Coffee...

Or if you are being waited on (An Expected Guest... ) There could be a Second flight waiting to attach their leash and escort you to... where-ever...

So I am saying it is Possible to elude beening tracked... Seen... as remember this isn't in Daylight.. So even if someone heard you... They can't see and at this point.. no one knows to look, or that you are missing...

Well you must have hidden the F 16 well because it did not enter into service till 1980 ish. F5 yes, F9F yes F111 yes, F16 nope. Yes it can be easily done with people with the right skill-set.

In general, If we progress onto these scenarios, or even the suicide scenario that must have been planned meticulously and with much research in order to chose a path that would be away from prying eyes, then you have to bin the idea of this all being carried out by a Captain who did it because his wife just left him and his political hero just got jailed. None of these scenarios are a spur of the minute thing, they would take meticulous in depth planning.

    Weong again Jim...

Being at the time my Logged Duty Station was in the Tactical Air Command (TAC) we had F16's, F100 A and B versions, F-4's Some (That somehow escaped being pulled out of active duty) B-58's SAC had most of the B-52's We also had yes... f-111's but I had no workings with them... If my Mom was still alive I would call her and have her locate Picture of me in Cockpit in Thailand Vin: 1966!! And get it to me so I and somehow meet you personally so you cannot comeup with "Being A PHOTOSHOPPED Photo.

The good general has been all over the place on this point from US knows and is a cover up, Pakistan knows and is a cover up (would require NON-Taliban Pakistan cover up here though . . .) to saying he had a Boeing sources, then backing off and saying he did not have a Boeing source but he read about a Boeing source on the Internet website Lignet and on and on and on."

I could also ask you how they cannot Find Plane now... Is it because it flew somewhere... Undetected???

    Thought that was utterly Impossible!

Buddy, I am trying real hard to understand what you are saying, but it is much easier to go undetected over very remote parts of the Oceans than it is to go undetected over land. The shadow thing with a 777 is silly movie stuff. I believe flying below radar would have used too much fuel to make it to Northwest Pakistan, caused tremendous stress on the air frame and a 777 flying that low would have been seen by lots of people. Plus, it was dark . . .

    Hi,

The shadow idea would be relatively straight forward to achieve. The problem would then be when the aircraft appears out of the shadow.

I don't think this is what happened. It must be somewhere in the rather large area they are searching.

Some big changes will be made in the industry due this missing aircraft.

I respect your opinion and you are certainly more knowledgeable than I. Most pilots with whom I spoke said sounds easy in theory, but not so in application with a 777. The Eglin guys in my building last week did seem a bit more confident about it being possible. Do you have knowledge of this actually being done over long distances with planes of this size?

We did it many times in Vietnam hiding multiple F4's, F-16's... F104's together (4-6 Aircraft) Also completely hidden above and below B58 and B57's is strike forces. Later Militaries version of 767 also sucessfully hid multiple Aircraft making Radar think just Cargo Flight. Someone else made a statement in this Forum, I believe is a good attachment. So I will add my version also:

These are just Ideas, of things that are possible and have been done in past. So of this past here I am a personal Witness to also! I have no attachment if true or not in this case, okay They are plausable ideas only. I just believe that EVERY Idea needs to be warrented. If we miss because someone said it was "Junk" I couldn't live with that result... Maybe they could... don't know...

We just need to find MH370 for the Families... At this point Screw the Countries! Simple solution... "NO MORE DELAYS" When you release something just state "This is an Idea that warrants Speculation" No one is going to say your not trying to keep them informed...

I m just finishing with the posting of a Picture I took last night of a clone of apple I5s... Uses software, clone is from China... Was riddiculed to how you or anyone could possibly stick an I5s up their rectum and not have to go to emergency room. Active Duty Officer here brought me a copy of @ a much small stature that could be hidden this way, and on Good authority it had been... Using protect device to shield it and for its removal.

I will accept any and all appologies here by way of you and everyone else dropping this subject...

Can't figure out here what stage we are in... "Still ridicule...?"

    Interesting question from PPrune:

In this case the flight did not go missing for Malaysian ATC - they had hand ed the flight off to Vietnamese ATC. The Vietnamese did look on primary radar once they determined it was missing from their ATC radar; they saw what could only have been MH370 headed west, back towards the Malaysian landmass - and they reported this to Malaysian authorities (we don't know exactly when or how but they have said that they did do so.)

Interestingly enough, the Malaysian military much later acknowledged tracking a flight on primary radar at about that time and on about that course until it went out of their range somewhere in the Malacca Strait at 2:40 am local time.

A week or ten days later the Thai government piped up and said that their military had also tracked (apparently) this same flight at that time.

The interesting part is that on March 8th, in the first reports of a plane missing, the Malaysian government issued a statement that the last sighting of MH370 was at 2:40 am on the 9th. We know this for a fact!

So we know that the Malaysian government was aware of MH370's filght path out of the South China Sea from the very beginning of this event.

Now, why did the Malaysian government let 8 nations search the South China Sea looking for an airliner they knew wasn't there for the next week??

    Can anybody answer that question?

Sent from my Nexus 5 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

They got it wrong. At that time they still thought it was near its intended course. They eventually revised it back an hour IIRC. It was March 11th when they started looking in the Malacca Strait based on radar analysis.

Okay explain here for the original presenter of this Post...

  15. I like the theory by General McInerney about the plane being in Pakistan. It is a pretty close fit to all existing evidence.

Initial ping data had a southern arc and a northern arc. For some reason everybody went with the southern arc.

    <snip>

Maybe the formula they used is 180 degree off?? Could it have been mirrored in storage and show up in data files looking as if southern Arc? Being new way discovered to find

object... are they 200% sure the read result correctly?

  16. So, to summarise...

I like the theory by General McInerney about the plane being in Pakistan. It is a pretty close fit to all existing evidence. Initial ping data had a southern arc and a northern arc. For some reason everybody went with the southern arc.<snip>

You've (hopefully) given up on the Pakistan-looney-General nonsense and you know how the southern arc was chosen.

    <snip>

If they actually could come up with a reasonable location by pings, given the staggering amount of effort in the search, they would have found something by now. As of today, they have found..........wait for it.........nothing.

    <snip>

You now know how the ping-doppler effect calculations narrowed to search area to just 469,000 square nautical miles, and realise that the "staggering" amount of effort isn't staggering at all.

    <snip>

If these pings had any accuracy at all, and they were receiving them every hour, it would seem to be easy enough to create a track by plotting the points, and then using the fuel endurance to create an endpoint. And then find the wreckage. And yet.... nothing.

    <snip>

OK, so you'd better explain to Inmarsat just how they need to improve their calculations since you think it's so easy.

As for your last comment about satellites, the French one found 122 objects and the Thai one 300 objects, but none of them has been found by the planes or ships sent out to find them.

Did they not find or "Did they not reference any connection to Aircraft.... Maybe they were found... but also not any relation to MH370... Everyone seems to snip out relative clues...... Everyone!

  17. Actually attaching pictures will not work that way...

First you need to have text in this reply box

Then using snipit tool save picture to desktop

Load word and add and save picture again to desktop

Now coming back to this reply window you will have 3 options above:

    Paste

    Paste Plain Text

    Paste from Word

Click paste from Word as when you went to save it to desktop it is actually in your Clipboard...

Thanks Moderator.. This was easier. But it will only work if you have started a conversation here...

F30muri... You can keep your white coats in your closet.... I'm not in need of your Body Slam Comments no matter how degrading you try to be to discredit somones credentials... Nice try though!

  19. Do you know how easy it is to fake an image and exif data to support your nutjob blog?

Do you know how hard it is to try and retrieve Original Data after it's been altered??? AND keep your Computer Running!!!?????

(Seems to fit with your statement and trying to disprove anything quickly (Violently...) If it doesn't fit with someones agenda.....)

Seems we should make it a prerequisite to know who peoples employers are at times...

Mine? I am Retired Had 2 jobs Federal Government and Drove a Factory (Team) Formula Tunnel/Race Boat. You?

  20. I can take a wild guess.

I can take a wild guess too...

But don't you think at this point... Anything is possible? Think about it... If indeed it is in the Ocean... And the Cargo Manifest is legit.... There is so much debri that would float... Mangosteens plastic boxes they would have been pack in... (4 tons worth...) Luggage... seat cushions... Life jackets... purses... carry on items... I can go on but I think you understand what I am getting at. My wifes family has several Orchards we have tested containers used, and fruit... In both fresh and salt water conditions. They are still floating from day 2 of the search. They have taken pictures from 175-200 ft and you can tell there is something in water, not what it is., but something is there. (We did this in Ping River) I would also search beaches, as in windy conditions with tide and waves they would travel fast. Any Island around the suspected "PATHS" or along the Ping Arc. Word should be sent by Radio to whereever in the Indian Ocean... no matter how desolated to look daily!! You find the fruit and Knowing Sea's Movement and time elapsed you will find Crash Site... But only if it Crashed!

I would check local markets in all the surrounding countries for an abundence of fruit... Simple yes! Stupid maybe... but here again the World is watching... let them also do some looking... If it' something not normally there at this time of year... Or price is cheap (Maybe there's an abundence of it...) should be reported to Police, News Teams, whoever would be honest enough to speak up...

I don't believe it, but my mind is open for any clues at this time. Remember weeks back on Thai Vista dot Com There was an article about 2 Former Navy Seals Now working for Blackwater Security... who Died Guarding Containers and Freighter disappeared... Who is the Employer of the Engineers who disappeared??? Same?? Why was that article hushed up and disappeared from the Press...??? What could possibly have been in the containers to warrant their own Security Team...?

I still want to post a Picture of this Phone to quell G Jim's rages on here... He may know 2 or 3 things... But he does not know 4 or 5! How to copy Photo and get site here to show it?? I will even send to a Moderator to do If He Wants!

Hey Guys... at this point anything is possible! Like you until proven correct then... I will believe!

You should earn a place on the TV wall of fame and never ever be banned due to the accompanying drop in morale we would all suffer.

Firstly you seem to be talking about these mangosteens like they would be filling the ocean up like something from the Quatermass experiment. It was 4 tonnes, not 4 million tonnes. 4 tonnes of mangosteen will fill the back of two Toyota hilux trucks. Just HOW are you going to spot these mangosteens that are purple brown in colour bobbing around in a gazzillion square miles of water? You think there are enough mangosteens for several countries to now be enjoying a 'fruit de la mer' bonanza where the markets are not only over flowing with mangosteens but so many that the prices have been driven down. I have no explanation why but the phrase 'a sandwich short of a picnic' keeps looping around my head. Furthermore unless these mangosteens have a hidden magnetic property it is most likely they are now lonesome unaccompanied mangosteens each thinking they are (correctly) a lone mangosteen in a very large ocean, and not a huge mass of fruit waiting to be washed ashore together to solve a third world countries food shortage.

There is no need to feel you out to quell my non existent rage by displaying your prowess in pasting a photo of a phone that could be hidden in an orifice. I have no rage, contraire I am very happy to be entertained by one of the greatest thinkers of our time David wink.png

I am truly upset that I did not witness you and your wife experimenting on mangosteens chucked in the Ping River. Is the Ping River anything to do with the Ping Arc? it seems a remarkable coincidence.

Hmmm must not be in Thailand.... Doesn't know where the Ping River is... If you ask anyone in Chiang Mai Province or Lamphun Province... They will probably ask if you escaped from Hospital as if you close your eyes... and walk you will probably fall in it!

Actually 4 tons will fill one Truck with trailer we see on supers all the time and 1/2 of the trailer... and what I said they would move pretty fast with current... so finding of beach somewhere close to (if it indeed crashed in Ocean) crashed would be a +80% probability. As husk or skin has a oil sealed skin (Purple - YES) and anywhere from 3 to 5 cm thick husk that will keep it afloat. If you had witnessed the event you still would have missed seeing my Wife and I... I said my Wifes Family.....!

    G. Jim you would never have to worry about moral here on TV.... "As you would always find... Something.... to Contest..." Am I Correct??

I am not worried about pictures or where they came from.... Yes I agree that it probably is a Farce of the worst kind! What I am saying and you intended to make a joke of it, by apparently not responding...

Just because something said it was sent from a I-5s doesn't mean that it was sent from a Original Apple Phone!

Kinda wish Google or someone would update there map Data in this whole region perodically. Especially now....

UPDATE: I put my best computer online today (serious security violation) BUT WAS ABLE TO RETINEX THE IMAGE AS A RESULT, AND YOU CAN SEE ENOUGH DETAIL TO SUPPORT PHILIP BEING DETAINED WITH A BLACK BAG OVER HIS HEAD, THE SAME WAY THE ARMY DOES IT.The retinex photo cannot be used for verification of Exif, if you check this one it will clearly say in the software tab "Gimp 2.6.12" and NOT the Iphone O.S. version, which ALL SOFTWARE DOES when it handles and saves an image. This is why I know the original is legit. Do this yourself for FREE. Download the Gimp image editor. Open the image with the Gimp. Click the colors tab. At the bottom of the list of options, you will see retinex. Set retinex to Scale: 133, Scale division 1, and dynamic to 0.0. Retinex squeezes everything out of an image that can possibly be seen, and it is my opinion that it does reveal enough.

Normally, a lens will vignette the corners, and put the least amount of light in the corners. But Retinex shows clearly that the corners of the image are brighter, and the center is dark. THAT would be caused by a black bag over Philip's head.
