There has been more then 2.... There was 16 reported between 1 Am and 8 Am by USGS ENS Service. The list I have shows the lowest one at a Magnatude of 4.2 and the last on this list at 08:04 at 5.5. This is just a partial list... The area around 7.550N 94.379E has been a hot bed all day.... If anyone is interested I can continue to monitor this area...

Okay as I stated yesterday in another post about  changes. They do not exist, at least not as yet! I went yesterday to Main Immigration Office, next to Airport in Chiang Mai. for the sole purpose of getting the correct information on this at this time... "So Called Rumor".

Director here said this is not true.. They have not yet, as of Feb. 5th 2019 and this includes Every Immigration Office in Thailand. "Have not yet received any orders" to change any of the Rules that have been in place and being still currently being used in the regards to Funds required for Expats who wish to retire or renew their current Visa Standing. "PERIOD!"

There is no order referring to any funds remaining in account after Visa is issued. There is no order about getting deposits recorded in Bank Book monthly. period! Only thing that is required is the funds need to be in Account 90 days prior to visa renewal date, or the in-place rules regarding the mix matching of income and Bank funds to match (65K monthly) the stated amount in rules now in place... No changes here either, same as last year!

The only thing I found that had changed was the 90 day report paperwork that is required!

All that is needed is the Form filled out (get the correct one... My stack of old one's have changed. Something was changed on the form) and the previous 90 day report slip they stapled in the back of your Passport the last time you visited there! Took me exactly 4 minutes to do my 90 day reporting!! I spent 25 minutes with Chiang Mai's Director of Immigration... I am in either a walker or wheel chair... so my wife dropped me off at front door. Took 1 minute 45 seconds to get my Q... then at desk #1 it took 2 minutes 15 seconds. I was done before my Wife parked car... She only had to back in a slot in front of the door... I was talking to Director when she came waltzing in...

So now 90 Day Reporting is just that... Reporting that you are still here and their Records regarding your stay in the "Kingdom" are all current and correct. Nothing more... 

So Bob... Do your renewal of your retirement Visa in Chiang Mai.... And a word to the wise (I was informed...) that either someone is overstepping the required rules... or just passing around a Bias Rumor!

This is getting Funny!

I just left Chiang Mai Immigration (Monday, Feb. 4tn). I went to pose this question to the Director here, if this was true what was bouncing around TV, on this subject.

The answer I received was my account needed to show the funds, intact in my account 3 months prior to Visa renewal! PERIOD!!

As for the idea being discussed here, answer was a flat "We have not received any Orders to change the intact rules"! Original Immigration Rules still apply!

So I have a answer that buffs everyone's fears on what was being told ( by who??) On this subject. I am sure that if we visit Immigration 3-4 months prior to renewal date and ask again we will get a current answer. Would be nice if they would send a notification of change letter to all current Retiree's of change when it happens. If it ever does. This would show everyone that all this paperwork they say they are doing is actually getting done, also prove that the 90 day reporting is keeping everyone's Immigration folder current with correct address!

Me too! 17 years no issues.... Money has always been in Bank, drawing interest! Started putting interest in separate account, good pocket change for side trips satisfy Wife's whims... It has nothing to do with Making Tourist Purchase anything! It has 100% fault in the enforcement of regulations by the Ministries charged with the Duties to see they are followed, to Fine and Suspend Operations, revoke Licenses or just plain put out of Business the Real Reasons for these issues. They are causing Big problems because Someone is just sitting on their Ass and getting paid to do so!

The People of Thailand are not Blind, They know who the real Criminals are.... It's not the Tourists...

I would like to have an Original Wiring Diagram, as Tiger did some strange things here. Somethings are backwards!

 

Also so I will have no rust... Frame and all Painted parts have 2 coats of Zinc Oxide then sprayed with Powder Coat and Baked (4 coats of paint and 6 coats of clear) Fuel will not disrupt the paint!! At this point I have 7,500 baht invested totally in this new build! Not bad for a "New" One of a Kind Boxer... I could for a few baht more went with a 250cc motor... but I wanted kick and electric start. (The 200cc Boxer out performed the 250cc Kawasaki.... Hands down!)

You will need serial # off bottom left side of motor. Then I found it easier to list: 

1: name of part

2: Part number and pictorial ID#

3: Page #. 

As if there are issues parts are also listed in Thai. Everything I have stated here is available in the Parts Manuals. I have 3 Tiger Boxer Parts Manuals. All 3 of these are completely different Motors, all 3 have different compression ratio's!

I bought one of the auctioned off 200px's It had been wrecked at 8060 km's (the front end had been backed over bent the front end up pretty bad along with Headpost now being out off alignment). I didn't plan to use front end anyway, I had built my own Chopper frame and basicly just wanted motor and harness stuff. I took bike apart very carefully took all the chrome stuff had it stripped, zinc plated and had all triple dipped in chrome (3 times). You can Bet every dime in Government Couffer's that if just one Senator, Congressman/woman or even the P.M had any Vested interests here... The banning of this product would have never reached the table... This is also a Fact!

How many Deaths on Motorcycles? If majority of Accidents are from Motorcycles (72 - 84%) Why is every picture shown involving Car or Truck!! I have yet to see even just one picture of a Motorcycle!!  How many were cause by Motorcycle...? How many were caused by other Vehicles but involved Motorcycle??? Article saying that Motorcycles "HAD" 72-84% of the Accidents this New Years is wrong! Biased! Or just plain False!!

Now Thailand is going to promote the Income of every Thief here. Posting on my Vehicle that in Contains a Dashboard Cam of some sort is going to make it a high-end target! (Don't get me wrong, I have a Camera. I use it.) But letting the whole world know it, is totally stupid!

Who is going to pay for the increase in Cost of Insurance? I would rather worry about my drives to the Market and Embassy then to spend 24 hrs. worrying about who is targeting my vehicle to rip off our Camera! Day and night, yes! Am I going to require increased security be stationed at my vehicle, every time I park it? As Vehicles are broken into who is going to pay for the Damage to it?  Should this Idea require a subsidy paid for to our Insurance Companies paid for by the Government Office who passed this Law?

We have been here 15 years and the only accident has been from a Thai, driving a truck in the style of a Motorcycle... (In and Out of Traffic) Trying to get to his favorite Watering Hole, because he was thirsty! Not something we caused! Plus it was all caught on Camera! Even his trying to run over a Policeman trying to stop him! His wife came and tried to tell the Insurance Investigator or the scene, we were lieing and that he been with her all evening... Yes I do believe in Cameras!!! Just not the stupid Idea of telling everyone there is one onboard!! Its not a "Baby"  (Baby onboard sign's) If it's required.... People will know its there, why tell them!

Or better yet... "Drive like you've got some "Brains"...

Are we going to see a huge increase in the sales at the thousands of Street Markets, of Dash Cams across Thailand? Thus like weapons have their Serial Numbers quietly Filed off? Looks like someone with Deep Pockets in The Government has Invested heavily in the Dash-Cam Market. Thus is now wanting to boost their income percentage here. To prove this point those of us who already own one, install an internal Tracking device just in case it is stolen! Also make it mandatory that these trackers be installed in every new unit sold as of Jan. 1st 2018! Can be sustained just like the Battery installed in our Computers, rechargeable... But Lasts for years... and trying to remove such a device would render Camera inoperable.

This is just another Scam to Line the Pockets of some Hi-So's somewhere. Thinking Thai are Dumb enough to fall for this Stupid Idea! Again I have a Camera! I use it! But I am not going around the Country Advertising it!!! 

I just have simple question about air traffic around a US Naval Vessel How close can an unidentified aircraft fly? They all are equipped with Primary and Secondary Radar... Pluse whatever they have not disclosed

Reason I am asking is because there is proof of such an event, happening. be it from Utapao area or Phuket. so this would have been between 154 M and 500 M depending where ship was docked. Once I get an answer to correct distance, then I will continue with my course of conversation.

We have a similar situation here in Chiang Mai, I won't tell further location but I will explain oddity:

Dogs on main road will only attack, Bark at,  try to stop One certain Motorcycle. They not bother 99.999% of the walkers, Motorcycle Riders... Just this one! It make no difference what time of day or night they hear this motorcycle, maybe smell Human. but they know who he is!

Rider of Motorcycle is Thai man in his late 20's to middle 30"s. I found out why this was happening as I stopped him from Beating dog one evening. He said ever since I hit this dog with motorcycle, "I think I kill him", he always try to bite me......

I know when this happened as there are 2 Dogs, the other one came and got me to help his "Brother" as he laid in street, his left leg and paw where severely damaged and cut. We have a Vet who lives really close to us, he came out to witness what was happening. I carried this supposedly "Very Mean Dog" to his home office, never once did he or his friend try to bite or growl at me. His leg was broke and paw need thirty two stitches (He is not my Dog, I know some are going to make this comment!) I have a Inside dog and had 3 cats, one died. I would go down every day to in front of where dog lived and clean his paw. He would just after the first two times sit there and put his paw on my knee...

I would like to catch this rider some night and with a 8" 2x4 take a swing and knock him clear of his bike, to teach him a lesson! But I know it would be my luck that the Police would take me to either Jail or Immigration and be deported for trying to kill a Thai!! These 2 Dogs still roam our street... Everyone helps the old Lady who owns them, feed her boys! They both come down and visit all the fenced Dogs on our street. In case you are wondering I paid Our Neighbor, the Vet for his Emergency Services... He took the money and bought Old lady enough dog food for 6 months, the rest he has an account at his clinic for anything her "Boys (Dogs) need"!

What I am trying to say is that if truth be known, somewhere along the line a Farang tried to Hurt one or all of this pack, now they associate... Farang to getting hurt!

I think that we should all realize that when it concerns a Death, here in Thailand. The only word Police know is :Suicide.... Somehow farang's seemed to have enabled  the Mastery of  the "Tied" hands behind the back syndrome, in this case apparently not. Could be with the time that would have expired while calling the cops, going out to find one to flag down, then when they do arrive they were able to get a few gasps for air... Military Police from Embassy came to pay her a Visit!!

Maybe she did the deed!

I would look for a head trauma,  maybe he was knocked out. Strangled and a rope tied around his neck and Wardrobe??? A Wardrobe is a dresser, with drawers. I would check the rope for DNA!!! Hers! Ozone reacts to Solar radiation in return letting Solar Winds warm up Items that forms over 70% of the Earths surface... "Water". Warm waters and Air at the Equator follow  the Gulf streams, as they migrate North and South... Melting our Ice, which is fresh water. In turn fresh water slows the Gulf and Jet Streams down . We are still forming massive layers of Ice in both Polar regions, at alarming rates. Very quickly as being reported, and efforts are being made to hide this Fact! 

How many Polar Projects have just been canceled because Ice breakers have been Unable to lead these Scientific Research Teams to their destinations, not even being able to get anywhere close!

But not enough to stabilize the Weather.

It is a proven fact the you can fool some of the people... Sometimes! But Not all the People... All the time! What causes the most anger in Humans? The loss of an Income that they seemed to acquire with very little effort.
