All motorcycle equipment is more expensive in Thailand (even locally made) than in the west.
I bought a Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster [made in Thailnd in Australia for about 200,000bht cheaper than I could get one in Thailand.I ended up buying a 650 Kawa Vulcan in Thailand [on special]for around the same price as Australia

1st night in a hotel and then 5th night in a hotel. This is going to create problems. Keep it Simple Stuxxx? I got the Thai pass approved a few days ago for the 7 Day ASQ program. I live in Chiang Mai so If I get the new Test and Go Thai Pass and at this time I do not see any ASQ Hotels in Chiang Mai so I guess I have to stay in BKK or return to BKK from CNX before day 5? I’ll just do the 7 days in BKK and get it over with. Besides the hotel I picked has good cable tv channels.
I'm thinking the same at the moment.I'll have a week in BKK

"has been charged with reckless driving, refusing to submit to a breathalyser test, and failing to stop to help a damaged party."
Don't you know who I am?
"If desired, the judge can also lodge an appeal against the court’s ruling."
It's not over yet.

To be honest: Are Anutin's words really so wrong? In pre Covid times walking around in Pattaya's "bar sois" I had the impression, some of these people NEVER shower.
True but ALL nationalities not just Farangs

Start what?
All I said was that anutin had a point when he said farang shower less than Thai, then I was attacked for being racist. I used 'farang' as that is what he used.
I know, as a Scot, that Thais shower a lot more than the average Scot, full stop.
Too many sensitive snowflakes here that exhibit a colonial reverse superiority. Can't have them pesky Siamese saying they are more hygienic than us!
But you had to start embellishing the stories .Chinese are never called Farang, and I have never heard a Thai call themselves a farang for instance.Funny,I normally get along well with Scots. My Grandfather was one.

If someone shower less than another,it is not derogatory. It's common knowledge that people from colder climates shower less. Is it racist saying that Mongolians and Tibetans shower once during the winter?
This is pure BS I have never in 20 years heard a Thai call themselves a farang.Stop wriggling and admit you were wrong to start this.

In all seriousness the Thai government should be now looking at a whole new approach to getting tourism re-started. Dropping the pass farce for starters, and in my own view should be paying for tourists rt-pcr and first night quarantine hotel - paying out say 2,000 baht for this when the tourists will like be spending say 100,000 on their holiday makes economic sense to me.
I agree but don't hold your breath.

Maybe a question to people who travel a little more.
Is there anything like Thai go-go bars anywhere else on the planet?
I don't travel much. But when I was in neighboring countries I found bars with bees and girls but nothing even near to Thai go-go bars.
I don't know how many people only like go-go bars compared to other places. But I am sure there are enough of us to fill a couple of bars.
The Phillipines in the day, were as good if not better in some instances, but as for these days I don't know.

This is directed primarily to Ubon Joe,After being stuck outside for two years,I'm planning on coming back to Ubon in March 2022.I've bought a return ticket .I'm going to come in visa exempt on an Aussie passport.I will have sent 800k to my Thai bank in January and will apply for a non o visa.Do you think I can apply during the first 30 days or will I need a 30 day extension, and do you reckon 4.75 months will be enough time to get it done? I can extend the ticket if necessary
Thanks in advance

I pass police road checks all the time and haven't been stopped in years, mainly because I always am wearing my helmet, jacket, gloves, etc. The pipes are of zero interest to the police whenever I have been stopped.
BTW, all the moaners about loud pipes can just go and f off.
My pipes are loud and legal. I'm 77 with my 18 year old maturity level.
"Loud pipes" aren't the problem.Obnoxiously loud pipes are,if it's the HDs or the little Hondas throughs,it doesn't matter.I have two Triumphs and a Kawasaki. One of the Triumphs has after market pipes and like yours, louder than stock but not obnoxious. There's a definite difference between loud and obnoxious

Also don't forget AZ was developed by Oxford Uni. and given out to the world at cost price,Pfizer was made by The Pfizer Corp. in the USA and has been done for profit.Pfizer was asked to donate their vaccine to the world and refused.
So the propaganda says "Pfizers better". In the real world either are almost equally effective. Although people under 50,or 59[I'm not sure which] are advised to get Pfizer

Also bear in mind that Ethanol is Hydroscopic, so has the ability to build up water residue in the engine and pipes, especially if left unused for a while. This can have a bad effect on rubbers and plastics. Logically E20 attracts more water than E10 and E10 is worse than E0. Older cars really do not like Ethanol much...
I use straight Benzine in my bike in Thailand.I've been stuck in Oz for a year and a half. I have someone starting my bike there [Vulcan 650.] the benzine has lasted, with a two litre top up, and still starts ok.I doubt E10 would.I have a battery tender too.In Australia ,I run my two Triumphs on 95 straight petrol.I have tried ethanol twice. Once in Thailand on a 600 Honda I had [it ran like <deleted> until I got filled with benzine again] and once in Oz in my car which is ethanol compatible. It used more petrol and had less power,so now I run straight 91 in that.I think ethanol is the biggest con job around. The car in Thailand gets 95 ethanol but it's started and run nearly daily.
