A Danish mate I met when I fairly new to the Pattaya bright lights told me , "DON'T marry the women and DON'T buy a house". As he explained the pitfalls, with both, I realized it was the best advice as a newbie I ever got concerning the LOS.

What does that have to do with Thailand and why is it a ripoff? That's been standard practice for many years now world-wide. It takes a while but eventually independent workshops also get access in most cases.
Yep, nothing to do with Thailand .My friend runs a car workshop in Australia and has had to request customers take their cars to specific dealers[BMW is one] as they cannot get access to the codes. Certain codes on my 2019 Triumph 1200 cannot be cleared with a mate's code reader[which cost 8K] but need to go to the dealship.

Guilty as charged on all accounts seems to be the prevailing opinion, followed by all sort of suggestions about the just punishment - from sending him to years in prison to transporting him back to Switzerland inside the wheel well.
Would it be too much to ask awaiting the outcome of the upcoming trial before rendering judgement?
Waiting for the outcome of the Trial ? Nah where's the fun in that?

Pattaya is good if you do not need a car to get around at busy days and times.
However a boring location if you enjoy motorbike riding, diving, hiking, kayaking, climbing, but for an average retired expat, great. I might relocate there after 70 years old, and time to leave Isan.
Again 'back in the day" I used to ride down beach road at 8.00am with very little traffic around.Take a relaxing ride out to Rayong or Sattahip or just Jomtien for a coffee .I doubt I'd ride in Patts at all these days .

Deport him! Too many people offering violence in countries that have been kind enough to let them stay and getting away with a slap on the wrist, sometimes not even that. If it were up to me, I'd give him a jail sentence and then deport him. Lefty solutions like holding a candlelit vigil outside his house, group singing "Cum Ba Yah", having a protest march or handing out leaflets would be water off a duck's back to thick skinned bolshy types like this guy.
Bolshy Lefty ? LOL. You have the wrong end of the stick Facist or Nazi maybe
