  2. an interesting report from the UK Daily Telegraph from 26/9/14

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/thailand/11122966/Police-quiz-Thai-footballers-over-murder-of-British-backpackers.html

Police investigating the murders of two British backpackers have questioned and taken DNA samples from a group of Thai footballers who threw a late-night party at the notorious beachfront nightclub where the victims spent their final hours, it can be revealed.

David Miller, 24, from Jersey, and Hannah Witheridge, 23, from Great Yarmouth, were murdered on the Thai island of Koh Tao in the early hours of September 15, shortly after leaving the AC Bar, an infamous nightspot known for drunken brawls and alleged drug use by some of its clientele.

Police claim to have already taken DNA samples from the AC Bar's owner as well as more than two-dozen of his staff.

  3. Incidentally, that article was published at right around the time when Somyot was putting himself in charge of the investigation, while the former chief inspector Panya (who was following evidence) was given a promotion and put in a desk job in Bangkok, and told not to say anything publicly about this case. I think Panya will be called as a defense witness. If so, it should be interesting to see what he says on the witness stand, even if he maintains his gag order.

You do realize, since it has been pointed out to you many times, the transfers were announced and published in the news well before the murders took place right? You keep alluding to this as if it was part of some conspiracy and as if the initial investigation was where most of the confusion, false accusations, crime scene handling and all the rest people point to in order to show inept police work occurred.

If I recall the murders took place on the 15th and the transfer was scheduled to happen and did happen on the first. During this two week period police accused many people and found blood on pants that wasn't blood, too many things to list about the crime scene investigation to point to, not checking video of who may have left the isalnd from the pier, announced they had string evidence against probably near a dozen different people including farangs and 6 different Burmese, a plethora of incorrect information released by police, a thai couldn't do it statement and on and on. Point being is that so much that people point to in the police investigation occurred under the first guy you keep wanting to put out there is some sort of person who was taken off the case because he was doing a good job. It was under him that hundreds of DNA samples were gathered, mainly from migrant workers.

out of interest do you have a link to that information being published in the news John ? I guess when you come up with it some of us will have to pipe down .

It has been shared numerous times on these threads only for people to come back and act as though this was some quick transfer despite it being announced well in advance and despite the fact October is when they typically do transfers. What is the real joke though is people are acting like he was something special when he was the one who cleared Mon and stated he wasn't on the island.

well he was on the island first thing when the murders were discovered or am i seeing things

  4. does anyone have a pic of the running man and No9 footballer they could post or pm me for comparison ?

in the second video the number 9 footballer can be seen with a characteristic swagger at 0.07 - 0.13 seconds in the video...i have seen a version of this CCTV where he is walking into the distance for a further few seconds when it was first released last year which gives a better view of his gait but i cannot find it online....maybe someone else has kept links to these videos from last year?

  5. went to the local Nissan dealer a couple of weeks ago for a gearbox oil change and asked them to take a look over the car

they said that the rubber hose from the reservoir needed replacing because it was leaking and also showed me the passenger side inner rubber boot on the end of the steering rack that was split and i could see that brown coloured milky emulsion was inside the boot.i summised it was from water incursion mixed with oil/fluids...the total job to fix was 2300 baht and they gave me the old parts back namely the rubber hose which looked perfect to me and when i asked why it needed to be changed i got three different answers

the hose was split although even after peeling back the outer rubber that helps protect the pipe there was no split to be found

there was a buldge in the hose and it needed replacing....it looked like new to me.the car has only done 60,000k from new

the mechanic then appeared and told me that the old hose was weeping at the end furthest away from the resovoir and he couldnt tighten the clip enough to stop it leaking

i accepted what he said and paid up for the hose and replacement rubber boot

a couple of weeks on i am still putting half a cup of power steering fluid into the resovoir every 100 km

i am not very mechanically minded but on reading up on it it seems possible that the rubber seal on the end of the rack is leaking hence the milky brown residue in the rubber boot...i also read that changing the rubber boot and clips keeps the fluid contained to avoid replacing the seal....not sure if this was the reason they didnt replace the seal

so my question is do Nissan supply the rubber rack seals and can it be replaced with the rack in situ................ or will i have to get a reconditioned rack

    thanks for any input

  6. for me the case was cut and dried when the Eighth Region Police Command commissioner Pol Lt-Gen Panya Mamengave a statement in front of the media

he was subsequently transferred a few days later to be replaced by General Somyot who is the guy that appears a later on with Nomsod and his father for the circus show DNA test

there is no getting away from this event.and why isnt this sudden chage of tack being investigated and the reason it was suddenly dropped and Panya transferred?

one final query is the whereabouts of Nomsods brother who there was talk about shortly after the murders

One tourist murder suspect now arrested, another on the run

    in General |

The police have arrested a suspect in the murder of two British tourists in Koh Tao and are still hunting for a second suspect who has escaped into Bangkok.

Eighth Region Police Command commissioner Pol Lt-Gen Panya Mamen identified the first suspect as Mon.

He is the brother of a village headman in Koh Tao.

He was arrested after evidence which police collected were examined and proved he was involved, he said.

He also said another suspect is also a son of that village headman. But he has already to Bangkok.

He said both suspects were captured by CCTV cameras and the police have gathered enough evidence to implicate them in the murders.

He said the southern police were coordinating with the metropolitan police to hunt him down, and expected to apprehend him today.

The southern police chief also assured the public that there was no arrest of scapegoats in this murder case as it now is a focal attention of the world.

He also dismissed any suggestion of local mafias or influential people that could twist the investigation with promise that local influence would pose no obstacle to the police investigation.

Instead the police will eliminate all these mafias, he said.

Meanwhile a police source said the police are also looking into the cooperation of those who helped to arrange the suspect to escape. They also will be arrested.

  7. It's no secret that the royals were going to do a deal with Hitler should he have taken the UK, and no secret that they sympathised with his cause. Sadly the British people are too weak and foolish to denounce this line of traitors, thieves and impostors.

and what drugs are you taking this week?

Why do you ask what drugs he is taking? Can't remember any photos of my parents giving the nazi salute.

It's a documented fact that Prince Edward was going to make a deal with Hitler. The History Channel did a very good documentary on this not so long ago.

Another point is that Hitler had made a statement at the start of European hostilities that he would be hesitant to fight/bomb Britain because he considered the British as "cousins" of similar roots. That sentiment didn't last long did it ?

getting your history knowledge from the History TV Channel is equivalent to getting your political news from the Sunday Sport

  8. What a ridiculous story only fit for a rag aimed at imbeciles.

This was before the war during a time when Germany was becoming a great success story.

People who knee-jerk disgust at this picture are the kind of unthinking sheep who have made the UK the 'politically correct' farce it is today.

that was before certain people decided they were going to make him pay for his sucesses

  9. Looked like the typical Thai driving style to me ... are they going to arrest the whole population that drives now?

And it was the white pickup that changed lanes that caused the accident, not the guy in the red car (even tho he was driving like a moron).

looking at the video it seems like the guy driving the pickup decided to turn left from the third lane

i cannot believe how stupid some drivers are here.or is it alcohol and other substances that are to blame?

  10. It is a slow day in a little Greek village. The rain is beating down and the streets are deserted. Times are tough, everybody is in debt, and everybody lives on credit. On this particular day a rich German tourist is driving through the village, stops at the local hotel and lays a €100 note on the desk, telling the hotel owner he wants to inspect the rooms upstairs in order to pick one to spend the night. The owner gives him some keys and, as soon as the visitor has walked upstairs, the hotelier grabs the €100 note and runs next door to pay his debt to the butcher. The butcher takes the €100 note and runs down the street to repay his debt to the pig farmer. The pig farmer takes the €100 note and heads off to pay his bill at the supplier of feed and fuel. The guy at the Farmers' Co-op takes the €100 note and runs to pay his drinks bill at the taverna. The publican slips the money along to the local prostitute drinking at the bar, who has also been facing hard times and has had to offer him "services" on credit. The prostitute then rushes to the hotel and pays off her room bill to the hotel owner with the €100 note. The hotel proprietor then places the €100 note back on the counter so the rich traveler will not suspect anything. At that moment the traveller comes down the stairs, picks up the €100 note, states that the rooms are not satisfactory, pockets the money, and leaves town.

No one produced anything. No one earned anything. However, the whole village is now out of debt and looking to the future with a lot more optimism. And that, Ladies and Gentlemen, is how the bailout package works.

  11. everything falls or stands with 100 % proof of DNA.

If thai police and government are sure they are correct, why not let it retested ? dna of the sperm must clear everything...

why keep it unclear why create doubts

Not necessarily. Think about it. The son of the headman is from a family worth many hundreds of millions of dollars. How often does he get laid? Does he need to rape? He could have very easily forced one of his soldiers to rape Hannah, then killed her. So, what does the DNA prove then? I think the likelihood he is guilty of murder is extremely high. I think the chances he is guilty of rape are extremely low. So, the DNA may prove nothing. I think the chances these two Burmese are guilty is next to zero. When they were arrested, they were casually playing football. Three weeks after this brutal crime. Would guilty men stay on the island for weeks afterwards? Very few would. Not the behavior of murderers.

there can be no other explanation

this is such a small island run by the headmans family where it would be impossible to keep the circumstances of an event like this secret. it is in the families best business and financial interests to see the real culprits caught and punished but since members of that family are doubtless involved the charade continues

the crime was solved by the RTP very quickly .....September 23, 2014

  12. They can re-test the dna samples all they want, they have had 10 months to have their way with it, unfortunately i feel it will always come up positive for the B2.

i don't post on here much but this case absolutely boils my piss.

will not the dna from sperm found inside Hannah be impossible to switch?

a forensic test would be able to distinguish a sperm sample from other bodily fluids from the same person

Semen glows under ultraviolet light and also changes color when exposed to specific chemicals.

If what i am saying is correct then a sample of semen would have to be obtained from the B2 in order to incriminate them if they are indeed not guilty

  13. A lot of things seem to have been forgotten now all of the focus is on the dna - or lack thereof. The person on the CCTV who looked remarkably like a "local" who was claiming to be in BKK (and on their cctv the next day). The argument in the bar, the taxi driver who was beaten by the police for refusing to give a false statement saying he witnessed the whole thing.. and etc...

whose that shaking hands with David 0.30 -0.40 ?

  14. its alright saying the court will split the assets 50/50 but in the case of land or houses even if they are put up for sale the thai spouse or her family can warn off any perspective buyers without your knowledge so as it never gets sold thus remaining in her charge...you on the other hand will have moved on and would not be welcome in the village after the split
