  1. if u like the cruiser type bike then go for a Honda Phantom

they are only 200cc single cylinder but are reliable easy to maintain, plenty of spares and add on parts to customise it

they come up on the classifieds quite often and always come with the green book which a 250 Virago may not have

prices range from 35k to 60k baht

  2. I own a Honda CB500F which is the naked version of this bike

I like the style of the bike but would like to raise the handlebar height and fit the bars from the 500X model

does anyone know whether the switchgear wires, brakepipe, clutch cable are the same on both models or will raising the handlebar height involve having to purchase parts in addition to new handlebars?

as an aside is it normal to have a rattling clutch on this bike?...the rattle stops when the lever is engaged...6500km

  3. The CSI website has put up a since deleted article from ThaiRath where an expert picks holes in the CCTV pics presented by a certain person who swears he was in BKK when the murders took place

"This online article by ThaiRath online has been deleted shortly after it was published. In this article, the CCTV expert points out that the date and time on CCTV was doctored and manipulated.

Why do they have to delete this article just to protect one family?"

  4. What about the phone at the crime scene next to David's shorts who did that belong to ?

David's shorts were not at the scene regardless of what they tell you.

David wouldn't have fit those trousers and they are indeed the wrong style and colour

The phone at the scene was advised to be David s early on and was confirmed by Chris Ware to be such

More red herrings. More to come.

I think you are wrong on both of those counts

I don't want to waste time looking for the correct links but I read it on CSI and A D

  5. Is it? The date for bugaboo vid is Fri 3rd Oct 08.02 am. Police said they found the phone at Wyn`s on Thurs night 2nd Oct.

My i/net connection is iffy so can`t play whole clip. Why is phone not in a plastic evidence bag? Myth of fingerprints?

If you can pull a still of most relevant shot and post, it would be much appreciated.

as I said in another post if it was David's phone then whose phone was pictured on the crime scene next to david's shorts ?

can u give us a link of the shorts and phone?

  6. There is to be an inquest 5 January in UK. I'm no lawyer but perhaps there might be some process which allows verification of evidence at that point. As far as I know David Millers funeral has already taken place. Perhaps the families agreed to further samples being taken before burials. If so there would be a chance at that point to obtain DNA from these Burmese boys to check results. The integrity of any testing and samples taken by the Thai police cannot be trusted at all obviously.

This sounds great. Please can you provide a source for this. Many thanks.

David Miller, 24, and Hannah Witheridge, 23, were found dead on the island of Koh Tao on 15 September.

The court was told that Mr Miller was formally identified by his father. A post-mortem examination was carried out by a Home Office pathologist.

  7. The two told police that they had raped the woman and killed her, before stealing her mobile phone and other belongings, and destroyed the unit at the back of their living quarters.

they obviously haven't seen the pic of Hannah's mobile phone on the policemans desk the day after the murder

  8. if u have cash and a pension then u are at risk of being murdered or rather having a nasty accident...don't forget the price for this service is a low as 10,000 baht and she will get tens of 1000s a month for the rest of her life.....do the village wedding and see how it goes for a few years before commiting...how old are u and her?

in Thailand never be worth more dead than alive

  9. Bit odd that the dates on the photo are lovely and clear when the rest of the picture quality is sh!te!! handy coincidence possibly though......

I'm no expert on CCTV images, but I want to believe that date and time will be in a straight line on one such picture?

I edited the images in Photoshop and got them a little clearer, and added a straight line (red) under the date and time.

Mr. Warot's lawyer, Attakorn Onart, presented reporters with a still photograph from CCTV footage that showed Mr. Warot at his university and residence in Bangkok on 13-15 September.

the top pic looks like the entrance to a condo

    the bottom pic the college

so why are the time stamps wonky on both images?

  11. DNA Mon, his brother, his sons and nephews. All of them and definitely those that were allegedly in Bangkok too, and don't let the local police touch it. The real perpetrators MUST be brought to justice for this truly evil crime. Koh Tao will not recover fully for years unless true justice is brought and seen. No-one will be fooled by a cover up or scapegoat this time.

for sure they are involved..had this crime been commited by a poor person he would have been given up to the police the next day..the island is so small and the everybody knows each others business that's its impossible to accept that the whole community has no knowledge of what happened...the police had it solved a week ago then took the bribe

    http://englishnews.thaipbs.or.th/one-tourist-murder-suspect-now-arrested-another-run/

The police have arrested a suspect in the murder of two British tourists in Koh Tao and are still hunting for a second suspect who has escaped into Bangkok.

Eighth Region Police Command commissioner Pol Lt-Gen Panya Mamen identified the first suspect as Mon.

He is the brother of a village headman in Koh Tao.

He was arrested after evidence which police collected were examined and proved he was involved, he said.

He also said another suspect is also a son of that village headman. But he has already to Bangkok.

He said both suspects were captured by CCTV cameras and the police have gathered enough evidence to implicate them in the murders.
