As far as I am aware Thailand is still joined up with it's road traffic offences and vehicle licencing.
It will come, I am sure.

Perhaps that can be explained by higher fertiliser costs, higher electrical costs, higher water costs, higher costs from the millers.
I suspect that the rice farmers, as usual will get the short and smelly end of the stick.
I am more concerned about the next generation of rice farmers, if indeed, there IS a next generation.
There will always be a next generation of rice farmers.
What else could they subsist on?

I think you will find that Pheu Thai only received 29% of the votes.
Not a great return for all those 500 Baht's.

Absolutely. And it depends when you took your private pension out whether you made it payable to you only. In which case the widow will receive nothing.
If you included your wife upon your death, then obviously the pension payable to you whilst you are alive, will be smaller, because they will have to use actuarial algorithm to work out longevity of you whilst alive and your wifes predicted longevity after your death.
There have been cases whereby the pension holder chose to include his wife. But then she passed away and the pension recipient remarried. He then passed away and his new wife was refused pension rights, because she was not his wife at inception of the pension policy.
I am not advocating that this is fair or just, only passing info on some cases that were brought before the ombudsman.
No need to complicate things - actuarial calculations do not come into it.
Specific pension scheme rules will will apply and they will usually quote a widow's pension of 50%. They will also usually state a deduction based on age difference. In my case it is 50% with reduction of one percentage point for each year over 10 in the age difference. We have a 20 year age gap so my partner will suffer a reduction to 45%.
In most cases it matters not if you are married or not, same sex relationship or not. Most pension schemes will accept a nomination for your other half - if you change your other half, change your nomination.

When proof of life letters are sent to those persons who live in Thailand but have not informed the UK so that they an get full pension how to deal with that?
Are proof of life letters even sent to those in the UK?
No. Life certificates are not sent to UK addresses.

So when I send you proof, can I expect an apology?
I told you back in May that a stamp was not required. Since that time I have witnessed 5 Life Certificates which were returned without a stamp. Guess what?.....not one was rejected!

Yes
That is an unnecessary stamp in a box on a form that is no longer required.
I have not used a stamp for over 10 years (since DWP said that a stamp was not necessary).
You literally need to think outside the box! Just because outdated forms have a box for a stamp does not mean that DWP require a stamp. Have a go at them by all means for not updating their letters to reflect the relaxation in their procedures.
DWP of softened the requirements gradually in recent years, first saying that anyone who can countersign a British passport application can sign a Life Certificate. More recently they have said that anyone of good standing, not related to you, can sign.
I am sure that you are smart enough to understand that KannikaP is absolutely right - you might as well sign it yourself. This is just a tick box exercise and when the forms get scanned, when they are returned to Wolverhampton, nobody undertakes any due diligence - the system is simply marked that that pensioner returned the form.

No.
I sign about 20 of these every year. Stamp not required.

absolutely awesome cover of Sounds of Silence. Ofall teh covers out there this is the BEST and better than S & G.
It is a very uplifting version but obviously not better than S&G. David Draiman shouting out the lyrics at the top of his voice does not make it better than the original.
As much as I do like the Disturbed copy, I frankly prefer the rendition from Tom Ball on America's Got Talent:-

My local Doctor did it for free and he was able to stamp it officially as required by the covering letter I received. I am talking UK Government, February, 2023
For those who wish to state that an Official stamp of Witness is not required, I can supply Documentary proof!!
A stamp is not required for DWP life certificates. Fact.

A UK licence has to be renewed every 10 years, the paper one is long gone. Also, when 70 years old a doctor is involved, cannot renew from abroad, unless done dodgy....
But I will stand corrected if things have changed...
I didn't know that the UK license had to be renewed every 10 years.
I do now.
I probably won't bother, and just rely on my Thai D/L.

That’s a bit disgusting. If you think being someone’s ‘whore’ or ‘toy boy’ is undesirable, then how could you in good conscience subject someone to that experience?
You clearly haven’t got a clue anyway as to how it can be. Even though I’ve been the younger one or at least less financially stable in some of my relationships, I don’t have negative feelings of being used or treated in a negative manner. Plus of course they weren’t actually old in the first place. I was just young, at perhaps fifteen or sixteen, whilst having girlfriends in their mid twenties. I also had girlfriends closer to my age at the same time.Oh well, at least I now know that I don't have a clue.
Being someone’s ‘whore’ or ‘toy boy’ is undesirable in the scenario described. That is not the case with working girls in Asia. Not one of the girls has felt, to me, like a whore - as we relate to in the West - and as I would probably feel at some point in the Toy Boy scenario described above.
