Amazing how they've managed to turn such an epic moment into such a mess. And all over a quick peck on the lips. The most this should have been was a quick word in the ear and an apology in private. Now they've overshadowed possibly the greatest moment in Spanish women's sport and the best women's World Cup ever and all for a bit of grandstanding. It's incredible how people can ruin pretty much any joyous moment in 2023.

IMO, he probably shouldn't have done it but was overcome by the moment. No biggie. Kisses on the lips (without use of the tongue) are not sexual IMO. Hence why many parents kiss their children on the lips, team-mates kiss each other on the lips etc.

The Woke types likes Megan Rapinoe are just using this to push their bitter, hateful agendas.

Whilst I agree with your sentiments, what he did was fundamentally wrong.

Consequently, he should have resigned when it all kicked off.

These days, like it or not, you just can't allow yourself to get carried away with your emotions - especially if you are in a position of authority. I find that a little sad in all honesty.

In case of a bank bancruptsy of a bank were Wise as a non bank is depositing our money I am unsure if this would not have any effect on the customer from Wise????

Not being a bank, WISE is not part of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.

FSCS can pay compensation to customers of authorised financial services firms when they fail. Set up by parliament and funded by the financial services industry, FSCS is a completely independent and free service. This means FSCS can pay back any money you hold with a failed bank or building society, up to its compensation limit of £85,000 per person.

https://www.fscs.org.uk/industry-resources/deposit-protection-banks/#:~:text=FSCS protects you up to,you hold with the bank.

    However:-

    Is Wise FSCS protected?

One important thing to note is that Wise is not a bank, and as such is not part of the FSCS (Financial Services Compensation Scheme). Instead, as part of the conditions of maintaining a financial service licence in the UK and internationally, Wise must follow a different set of rules to keep customer money safe, known as safeguarding. We’ll explore how that works and how it’s different to FSCS in a moment.

How does Wise keep my money safe?

Wise is not covered by FSCS protection, but instead, as an Electronic Money Institution in the UK, Wise protects customer funds through safeguarding.

This means that Wise holds all customer deposits in either²:

Cash deposits with top tier financial institutions - like Barclays and Citibank

Secure liquid deposits - like government bonds in the UK, US or EU.

I can always walk away from tuk-tuk drivers.

I detest those annoying lottery ticket sellers who walk up to my table when I'm dining!

...add the Viagra, watch and sunglasses vendors.....

No, it's you who know nothing with such a hateful comment like that. Tuk tuk drivers are hustlers but they do it out on the street instead of in the board room. I'm sorry for you that you can't handle the in-your-face capitalism despite (presumably) living here for a while.

I can handle capitalism, no problem, I was part of it for years.

What I can't abide is arrogant gouging my low life 'hustlers'. They would sell their Granny for Sixpence and would not hesitate to rip off visitors to this country. The Phuket mafia are probably the worst.

Why, because it makes too much sense? So you're happy to hand over tens of thousands of baht over the course of your life to already mega-rich corporations but you begrudge a tuk tuk driver a few extra baht when he's doing essentially the same as the corporation, just up close and personal?

Methinks you're not as smart as you think you are.

You know nothing  -  and continually provide evidence to support that view.

I detest tuk-tuk drivers and begrudge the cheating b4stards anything,

And yet you're being taken for a fool by CP et al every time you make a purchase at a 7-Eleven or any of the other big names. At least the tuk tuk guys are honest about ripping you off.

That is probably the weakest argument and most stupid comment I have seen today.

It's not a win\lose situation. You simply don't understand how the banking system works in Thailand. Simply said, the registered address has nothing to do with inter provincial banking. The location of your branch is what counts. A person might have multiple bank accounts in different provinces while a person can only have 1 registered residential address. When I moved from 1 province to another, at first I paid a fee for ATM withdrawals and also bank deposits while I was at the new province. I later opened another account in the new province and used the bank's online system or app to transfer money between my accounts for free.

Same here. I have 3 accounts across 2 provinces and all appear on online banking and the app.

Did you read the paragraph at the start of the subforum? Do you comprehend that this sub forum is about THAILAND, not other countries?

I'll quote it just for you- my bolding.

Thailand is legendary for its entertainment, both traditional and modern. Discuss night life, restaurants, bars, music, movies, concerts, expat life, fun, or just a chat about anything not covered by other sub-forums. (No Politics).

You might want to be careful when writing such as your second sentence.

BTW, there is a whole section of the forum just for other countries, if you didn't know.

Keep digging to try and justify the bo11ox you write.......but you are wrong - this thread is about underage staff

    Do try and keep up.

I agree, consistent service from the ladies in there  - and excellent value at 150 Baht (even if a nearby shop has now dropped their prices to 120 Baht).

  10. If the photos are required for comparison with a passport then it is logical that the passport photo rules are adhered to:-

How to get a digital photo

You can get a digital photo either:

    • from a photo booth or shop before applying for your passport
    • by taking one using your own device during your passport application

Photos from a booth or shop are more likely to be approved than a photo taken using your own device.

Get a photo with a code from a photo booth or shop

Before starting your application, get a digital passport photo from a photo booth or shop. Choose the option to get a code with your photos.

You’ll be asked to enter the photo code during your passport application and your digital photo will be added to your application.

Take a photo using your own device

You’ll need someone to help you take a photo during your application.

    Rules for digital photos

The quality of your digital photo

    Your photo must be:

    • clear and in focus
    • in colour
    • unaltered by computer software
    • at least 600 pixels wide and 750 pixels tall
    • at least 50KB and no more than 10MB

What your digital photo must show

    The digital photo must:

    • contain no other objects or people
    • be taken against a plain light-coloured background
    • be in clear contrast to the background
    • not have ‘red eye’

If you’re using a photo taken on your own device, include your head, shoulders and upper body. Do not crop your photo - it will be done for you.

    In your photo you must:

    • be facing forwards and looking straight at the camera
    • have a plain expression and your mouth closed
    • have your eyes open and visible
    • not have hair in front of your eyes
    • not have a head covering (unless it’s for religious or medical reasons)
    • not have anything covering your face
    • not have any shadows on your face or behind you

Do not wear glasses in your photo unless you have to do so. If you must wear glasses, they cannot be sunglasses or tinted glasses, and you must make sure your eyes are not covered by the frames or any glare, reflection or shadow.
