I dont understand why you are even a Member here, there are bound to be far more negative posts in here re Thailand than positive, and yet day after day you come in here bleating about Members who dont feel the same as you do about this country, getting all upset about it, you are virtually a lone voice in here, the fact that Thais can do no wrong in your eyes is nieve beyond belief!  there are people in here that have been beaten up by Mobs of cowardly Thais, been mugged, Robbed, scammed,Family Members, Loved ones killed in Road Accidents by Drunken Bonehead Thais and yet you come in here constantly tarring all Brits with the same Brush, and i know for a fact that you are British yourself! you should be ashamed of yourself, Go somewhere else or find another Corner to Cry in.

Finally a well written non Thai bashing post, and no, not a lone voice at all... And you kill it with senseless rubbish about "mobs, boneheads" etc... ? Lol.

Maybe You should be the one to be ashamed of yourself, and go cry somewhere else

But, on 90% of my dives, the weightbelt goes usually of before the rest of equipment, exception is some boatdives, where the fins are delivered before climbing the ladder(usually, they take your weights, too).

Maybe on your divetrips, boatdives are an exception. Here in Thailand though, boatdives are standard everywhere.

Usually, the weights are kept on, when climbing the boat ladder.

Removing weights in water, is trained, but usually not done because of the weights (or ofcourse the whole weightbelt) being dropped, especially by beginners.

At Racha Yai protection is now taken seriously, and the situation there is improving. Nice corals at Racha Noi and other divesites like Kata beach. Also places like Koh Doc Mai, Shark Point, King Cruiser, Anemone Reef, really nice corals.

Indeed, KDM, Shark Point etc.etc. nice corals, soft coral as well, much better looking than in the photo with the anchor.

Good to hear that protection is taken more serious, no excuse to drop anchor anywhere in the area.

  4. I have two kids (from my wife) at home, growing up with us in Mathayom school ( 13 and 15 years old ) I just paid for the second term which was 2 x 3500, :  there are two terms so about a total of 14.000 a year. Government school here in south Thailand, there are several other schools in this area that are slightly more expensive.

My wife pays 1800 a month for the schoolbus, and there are some extra things like uniforms / shoes, books etc.  which is about 10.000 a year more in total

Yes it's where nearly all the tourists visit before they marry a Buffalo scrubber and head for the hills and would "never be seen dead ' in Pattaya all of a sudden

Yeah rings a bell... think I've been to both places a few times.

Wouldn't like to spend all too much time in either of them.
