  1. Jeezz, out of almost 100 replies there's just a handful answers to the question: "What should I do?"

Moral police is up to full force!!

As for the OP: You could file a complaint at Soi 9, but it will only satisfy your possible hurt feelings. Don't expect too much from it.

As for the future, but I guess you figured that out: Get around barriers and avoid any confrontation with short-fused security-people. They're usually frustrated ex-coppers.

  2. Decent jeans........Levis, MC, Dapper.....head for Central Store and there's all brands on one floor.

    Average price.....THB 1,800.

Too expensive? BigC, Lotus, local market.......start from THB 199

  3. You may try this link. Although it's the Sophon schedule, BTV and Sophon are linked and they may have the same schedule.

Weird enough BTV doesn't have a website (anymore) and the Sophon site is in Thai.

Is It at the intersection of Soi Bongkot and the very start of Soi Batman?

or to be more precise Soi Chaloem  Phrakiat 18 and Pattaya Tai 16

Well, if the Urban Attitude is actually in the background you're right.......the end of Soi Bongkot connecting with Chalerm Prakiat Soi 18

  5. if you are using GrabTaxi you can calculate the fares and it SEEMS pretty accurate.

I know more and more people using it and although not the cheapest fares in Pattaya, there are no surprises.

The driver accepts the fare chosen and will take you to your desination.

Example: Sukhumvit Soi 73 to Central Pattaya Beach is THB 170 (approx. 5 km)

  6. 2 major reasons for the ques......

    - the traffic uses the emergency lane as an extra lane; the traffic there has to fit in into the two orignal lanes after the traffic lights causing a bottleneck.

    - the traffic lights are being operated manually by the BiB in the police box and we all know that as soon as a BiB starts controling the traffic lights, long ques are the result.

The problem at Baan Amphur are the 2 U-turns; as soon as the BiB start to control the traffic flow it's a mess.

And then there's the pedestrian crossing at the exit/entrance of Ambassador City; instead of forcing pedestrians to use the footbridge, they allow them to use the pedestrian crossings often guided by security guards or police........

  7. The kids were 100% in the right......great.......they are in the:

    - right immense pain

    - right hospital

    - right struggling to stay alive

    - right facing the rest of their lives being disabled

and the bus driver is in the:

    - wrong position of getting a fine for dangerous driving

    - wrong sentence (if any) of 2 years in prison

Those busdrivers are a real pain and they even manage to perform F1 acts with other tourbuses......I've been on the verge of stopping one of them more than once and drag the buffalo from the wheel and kick his ass.

Of course the authorities will take action.

As for the compensation......there is something like a tourist emergency funds covered by Pattaya City Hall....let's hope they jump in.

  8. pffff a good one......every copy shop with an "all-in-one" printer should be able to scan for you.

The KODAK shop opposite KEHA Condo along Thepprasit Road near Outlet Mall and Tesco has all possible equipment on hand.

You could give it a try there.

From the Beach side towards Sukhumvit it's on the left side approx. 150 meters pass Aksorn School and the gas-station.

  9. 13, 14 and 15 is Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Most companies will be closed from the 8th up until the 16th whereby the 8th and 16th will be high traffic.

In Pattaya there should be no problem in traveling on the 11th.

  10. Mmmm, viewing the clip a few times it appears that just before the bike hit the child, the pushcart was pulled back with high force causing the child being ejected from the cart ann then the bike hit the child.

For me the parents are totally at fault and for the rider fleeing the scene......he stopped a few meters passed the accident spot, he walked to the spot and then he moved on......question is just....why did he move on?

  11. Officially it's called KEHA Condo and it's a former social housing project which was built approx. 30 years ago.

Most of the units have been sold now and are being occupied by foreigners or Bangkokian weekend-dwellers.

Yes, a 24-26m2 studio will go for 3,500 baht, but there are a lot more opportunities in Pattaya for that amount.

An indication/example of a recent sales of a 52m2 condo in building B THB 1.2mn
