Asking expats about LGBT people
Whilst I don't know the expat community in the city mentioned, i have lived/worked in Isaan for the last 18 odd years. Most people here are either (mainly, not 100%) retired or younger teachers. I would suggest that most will not care that he is gay, but what might give him more trouble, is that he is 'extroverted' because some might have different takes on that and see it as rude, unfriendly, overpowering because they are quiet people (of any gender). just my two-penneth!

Opinion Editorial: No, It Isn’t Time to Worry About RETIREMENT VISA Changes….Yet
Exactly. How does changing requirements stop this? As usual, they deal with the problem, instead of the cause.

Savankhet nono visa
I enquired only last week, at an IO linked to Ubon and despite me doing my last 12years B visa extensions there, they insisted on seeing 12 months' income from abroad, to get a retirement visa on that basis.

Savankhet nono visa
Thanks for info and sorry to be pedantic, but what amount do they want to see in my UK bank and for how long? I get a second pension just before Xmas, that will give me +65k monthly total income but the visa will be required 2 months before that starts (30th Sept). I do have funds 'sitting' in my UK account. I'm 66 next birthday and had a 'B' visa for the last 11 years.
