Yaso has no taxi's or Motorcy Taxi's so be prepared for that, (I wasn't a few months ago)

What a load of 'tosh'. There is nothing here, that any sane person wouldn't already know, including that the police do a rubbish job at enforcing the law within SSK.

Not lately, but it was one of the easy-going borders. The only possible problem is if there are hundreds of Thais wanting to cross to enter the 2 (grim) Casino's just across the border. Expect the usual 'scams' re US$xBaht exchange rates &the 300b charged by Cambodian Immigration when you 'return' on the same day.

Once met a French guy at Fishermans Village on Kho Chang and he had a floating house attached to the jetty. He insisted that he had full ownership papers because its not on Thai land.

Good idea. I have been through what you and others here mention. In my case, it turned out the land was security (decades ago) for illegal loan sharks of a 'certain' nationality. No kids, so I decided to walk away and start my life again in a different area. I stripped the house, leaving one bedroom set only and have never returned as half of the village are all interbred family. Was a hard pill to swallow for me but I got over it!!!
