  1. Of course it matters what they looked like. one, it adds color to the story. two, wake up and realize how the world works. druggies, fatties, old people, etc... are of course going to be treated differently. same with race. next time a guy shows up to your room with 100 face tattoos, i'm sure you will think the same as if it was jesus himself. whatever. go hug a smoker who disrespects the dress code of thailand!! haha.

the cleaning lady moved the camera, used her key, and got some cash.......and these smoking tourists were likely not very nice to the staff before it happened. yes, this makes them more likely to be a victim. blah, blah, nobody deserves to get robbed, but it happened and these tourists should have done more. 1. been more nice. 2. took their money with them. i don't trust any place in thailand. or most other countries. so, use common sense.

Sorry mate, but totally disagree with you.

It is irrelevant how rude, nasty, druggie, ugly or whatever else they were. It is no reason to steal from them

There is absolutely no excuse on this planet why they were robbed, it is solely the fault of the thief, ie the maid.

There are a number of other ways to treat "bad" guests to make their life hell, however stealing from them is NOT one of the ways

  2. because a person shows empathy does not make them a leftist, it shows they have compassion like Jesus ,Bod,and my mum.

It would be a compassion if they would decide what words to use for themselves, but not dictate to other people.

If you feel compassion to that katoey - call him "she", but don't try to force others to do the same.

Everybody should decide for themselves to speak truth or lies, and what truth and lies is.

Now here's a classic example of my previous post. The stuttering jjtttt is obviously very upset by this thread. Why on earth would anybody be so passionate and upset by such a small issue? Methinks he possibly already sits down to take a pee, likes it, but hates himself for doing so

Seems inability to read, desire to personally attack people is just a few problems you haverolleyes.gif

  3. There must be German Forums where she can ask the question, or phone the airlines. There will be vaccinations, microchip etc. Also there are, in Europe, companies which work with airlines specifically for animal relocation.

And Torren54, this person wants to take her cat with her not adopt another one. You sound like one of those people who has never had a pet. Which you get attached to and love.

    Where's that dislike button!!???

Does have a point though, it's not like there's a shortage of pussy in Thailand eh....wink.png

Someone offers an alternative and is instantly disliked....blink.png

May be because to some people their animals are part of the family rather than a toy to play with

So MAYBE if someone relocates to another country and finds a new home for their pet in their home country before leaving it was a toy to them because they chose to find it another home....MAYBE....

MAYBE if cats could talk the cat would say " I don't want to move to Thailand, I'm purrrrr fectly happy living here in Germany with my freinds but you dam_n humans think you know what's best for me, you selfish pigs".....

Find another home? so you find another home for your kids when you move city's?

Do you also find your kids another home because they do not want to move city's or schools?

Or perhaps you dump your elderly parents because moving to another country is hard for them?

And i only hope you do not start to tell me its not the same, clearly for you it is not. For loving responsible owners it is the same, as pets are part of their family, have feelings and emotions.

So if you do not mind, if you do not have any useful info for OP, lets not troll on how he/she should be treating her pets.

  4. you hate to be called Farange how terrible, bit like being transgender and hating it.

Have not been called Farange yet, good to see you know what you talking about:blink:

I used to hate being called farange, but realised its my problem not the speaker,s. But to let you in on why I complained onTV about it, one reply I got sorted me out, when I now hear it I try to eye the speaker, and reply Chok dee,na. so your assumption is <deleted>.

again, for the second time, learn how to spell the word before trying to put up some useless argument.

who cares how you deal with it, this topic is NOT about you, now deal with that.

again, since first 2 times did not register for you, if someone calls me what i do not like to be called, it is up to me to stop dealing with them.

If they respect me, they stop, if they do not, we no longer need to communicate or keep in touch.

  5. Those who use the term farang are wrong to do so if they know it offends people. I personally hate the term. However, just because our wishes are ignored or disregarded it does not justify us doing the same thing. If a ladyboy finds the term mr offensive or disrespectful towards their feelings then it should not be used. If she wishes to be ms then so be it. It hurts no one and shows respect for another's feelings about their identity.

Absolutely correct, and if i insist on doing it, it does mean i have no respect for that person, so that person can either accept being called what i call them or stop dealing with me.

  6. Moral of the story: Don't stay in cheap guesthouses and don't trust cleaning staff.

They have all sorts of tricks like take cameras/phones , etc. and put them somewhere like the back of the drawer so that if you forget them, they can take them, if you raise the alarm they can point it out.

It makes no difference cheap or expansive hotel, staff are staff and thieves are thieves.

As i said, stealing by staff is on the rise in Thailand and even when caught red handed, police does not take any action.

It just simply sucks and makes all other honest staff look bad, but sadly nothing can be done, even more so inside the room where it is not possible to have CCTV

My entire hotel is covered with CCTV and a pretty good one and yet i still catch staff stealing-right in front of the camera and when police i called, they do absolutely nothing, no matter the amount of theft.

  7. If she wants to be called ms, so what? Let her be whoever she wants to be, it's her life.

He can be who ever he wants to be , it does not automatically mean others have oblige to his wishes.
Nor should they disregard her wishes.

    Why is that?

I hate to be called farang, it does not mean anyone stopped calling me that.

Then its my choice to either deal with those people or not.

He hates being called a he, no problem, stop dealing with those who call him a he and deal with those who happy to call him a she

  9. Honestly, there are plenty of cats here already. Suggest your friend leave existing cat with someone who'll give it a good home and then get one here, they could go through all the trouble of getting it into Thailand and then find it gets out and jumps the next Lufthansa flight back to Germany.

Honestly, did OP ask for your opinion what he/ she should do about the cat???

OP, Thailand has certain requirements. Easiest is to use pet moving company , doing it yourself much cheaper.

My best advice is to contact moving company to get a quote.

In the quote they will include all that is needed, from there your friend can make a decision to either do it yourself or use a company.

    Expected cost around $1300-$1500

Going as excess luggage is the best and cheapest way, some airlines would even allow for cat to be on your lap.

I believe Turkish airline is very flexible.

Just need some vaccinations and microchip, few other papers

  10. What town in Thailand are you talking about...hundreds (thousands?) of houses of all types, prices, and descriptions for rent in Pattaya.

"hundreds (thousands?) of houses of all types, prices, and descriptions for rent in Pattaya."

Yes of course there are thousands of houses, but on the other side there are millions of condos, so how many of the houses are actually available for rent, today? Not much.

Well common sense would suggest that a house takes up certain space, this space could hold 16 floors of condo's. so naturally condo ratio to house would be more, HOWEVER one would have to be either blind or totally oblivious NOT to see hundreds of houses for rent.

New, old, crappy, excellent, townhouses, detached houses and so on.

Have you been to the east side? Plenty of land available there...I mean.. PLENTY of flat, unused land. This land could host more houses than there are condos in Pattaya. This is to say that, land is not a problem here, it is however in big cities, but not here where you can just go 3-6Km away and have lots of free land.

"HOWEVER one would have to be either blind or totally oblivious NOT to see hundreds of houses for rent. New, old, crappy, excellent, townhouses, detached houses and so on."

I think there are much more old/crappy/townhouses than there are new/excellent/detached-houses available, and that was my point. Also in many areas of Europe for example there much more houses than condos (only in big cities it'd be the opposite). In Thailand, one would have to be totally blind to NOT see that most condos are designed, built, bought, for and by foreigners, making it easy to rent one, while houses are designed, built and bought by Thais, and you would have to be totally bind to NOT see that it's because of the law forbidding foreigners to own land.

What does land availability have to do with houses on the market?

What does situation in Europe have to do with Pattaya?

Seems you are too lazy to get off your backside to look around and expecting other people to tell you where to go

You do not have a clue what you are talking about.

3 road, soi khopai, soi bonghot have brand new house developments and thats just in 500 meter radius

Pattaya is a resort town, only an idiot would hope there be more houses than condo's in sea side resort town.

Go to the dark side or further out and you will struggle to find anything that could be called an apartment, let alone a condo.

  12. Have had similar problems. Cleaning lady says all money is gone, police close the case and its the end of it.

May be if lucky and police could be bothered, she is charged, fined 500 baht and again case closed.

Lately staff stealing has become a regular occurrence and police does absolutely nothing about that.

Possibly more become aware of being able to walk away unpunished, hence the reason for theft being on the rise

  13. To be fair... companies like PayPal have HUGE problems with fraud. They have to be very vigilent.

Try opening up a "proper" internet merchant account youll need up to $10,000 security deposit held at all times.

And in some countries/banks you need a large security deposit for each currency you want to accept.

I agree with you, but it was their choice to go into this kind of business, holding someone's money for 6 months is wrong no matter what angle you look at it.

  14. Does it matter if it makes sense to you? They are a private company and can make or change the rules as they wish...

Maybe not; however, most sellers on EBay use PayPal exclusively which renders the former useless to me now.

It should matter to both PayPal & sellers like yourself. Having more flexible options would bring in more money for PayPal, & merchants would have access to a larger customer base (including me, e.g.). Perhaps the OP would not then be seeking an alternative to PayPal.

They do not delete accounts. Do a Google search and you will see what happens to deleted accounts.

I tried Googling as you suggest; all I can come up with is ways to do just that. The following link explains how to permanently delete several online accounts, including PayPal which they give a deletion difficulty of "1" (i.e., very easy to do):

    http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2010/06/11/how-to-permanently-delete-your-account-on-popular-websites

Also, after logging into your account, you can go here to kill the account once & for all:

    https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_close-account

According to a number of reports(complains) Paypal does not delete any accounts, it also does not "disconnect" your bank account from that account.

It is deleted from your point of you, as in you can not use it or access it, however it is not deleted from their end and it is linked to your account.

Perfect example would be if you wanted to open another account and tried to use the same bank account to link it, it will tell you it is not possible because that bank account is linked to another Paypal account ie your original account was never deleted.

You are reading "how to ", try reading complaint sites., here is one of them http://www.aboutpaypal.org/ , have many many more

  15. Did you give her 1000 baht jack Daniel bottle?

Have you learnt to count yet? Remind us what a decade is?

And no one said anything about JD at 1,000B a bottle, you should lay off the Chang.

Bring her to a GoGo in Nana... Just to get some visual experience... ;-)

When your brain lives in your a*s, this is the kind of advice you are likely to give.

My "visual experience" with you here khunpa looks the same as what you produce: s*it.

Is this thread turning out to be a meeting for ready-to-rape gang bangers? Disgusting!

I don't even frequent GoGo bars but I've had had 3 first dates where girls I've met have asked if I've ever seen a ping pong show or any of that sort of thing to which I've told them I've never seen a ping pong show but I have been to Soi Cowboy and Nana Plaza a couple of times.

I could tell they were super curious about these sorts of places so I took them there after a couple of drinks and they all loved it.

    Fun dates as well.

Spade the stud man, who dates high-so women and get whisky bottles with mixers in "good" clubs for 1000

    Never gets boringcheesy.gif

You mean you took girls to gogo bars and actually paid 100-150 baht for her drinks? a couple of them? did it send you broke for a month?w00t.gif
