  1. sorry still failing to see your point or what your comments have to do with my post

    Let me help

I believe as you do that some genuine love relationships emerge over time from those that start out as purely transactional.

However the vast majority of men in relationships with sex workers that think they are genuinely loved are being deceived by the girl in order for her to secure either long-term financial security or perhaps looking to get as much short-term gain as possible and then move on. As long as the money keeps flowing, the deception may continue, even until death do them part.

    VAST majority.

You don't know for sure until either the money really does run out, or you create a staged scenario so convincingly that she really believes it has.

The problem with that "test" is you may be driving away someone who does really love you but isn't willing to put that factor ahead of ease, comfort and supporting her family.

Now, by answering as you did, you cause others to speculate that you may fall into the "sucker" category and don't know it.

Another cause for them to think that is your general statement that the girls are sincere and it's the fault of her leeching family. This also may seem overly naive to some, as many girls will use their suffering family as one of the tools in their manipulation arsenal.

Are the reasons for mocking laughter more clear now?

Personally, I think "does she really love me" is the wrong question. The right questions IMO are "Is she making me happy?" and "Is the amount I'm paying for that service fair and sustainable over the long term?"

If love, or a reasonable facsimile thereof emerges, then consider that icing on the cake, but don't let it influence you into paying more upfront than you'd be willing to walk away from as soon as the answer to either of those questions starts to tilt towards "no".

I totally agree with all your points.

I also believe as i stated before, that a large number really do fall for customers, HOWEVER all the pressure's and demands from her family more than often turns it into business transaction.

If you ask me, can one have a successful relationship with a bar girl, my answer would be yes, if her family is either dead or she is willing to cut ties with them or draw a line(this one is impossible)

  2. I think a huge number of bar girls really do fall in love with customers, after all it is only natural to have a feeling with someone. HOWEVER its her family who always makes the problem, which eventually ruins the relationship and takes any if not all feelings away.

Those blood sucking mother/father/brother and his wife who just sit on their asses, and expect to be supported.

You surely post in jest!!!!!!!!!!!! im laughing, and i cant stop!

what do you find so amusing? you do not think bar girls or hookers are capable of having feelings? or you do not believe 2 people can click at one point?

if a bargirl fell in love with me id be scared. After all IM one of those tourists..........................lol.

sorry still failing to see your point or what your comments have to do with my post

  3. I could be wrong, but i do not think checking passport falls under police jurisdiction. They do not know anything about Visa's and large majority can not even read English.

Any id should be sufficient enough to prove your identity, i do not think passport is a requirement, unless its some kind of extortion.

For a stop by the "BIB," e.g. the routine traffic stop police, you are correct.

However, if you are in a situation where the Immigrations Police are present, you might find yourself in an awkward situation if you don't have your passport. It's not uncommon to read that the Immigrations Police are present at raids at night spots. The BIB ("regular police") are simply interested in identifying who you are, so a driver license or photocopy of passport satisfies them. The Immigrations Police, however, are interested in verifying that you entered the country legally and are not on overstay, and will not be amused if you cannot provide your passport.

yeah i agree, i was referring to just regular police, immigration is a totally different ball game

  5. Sorry to burst your bubble, but not all Rottweiliers are as brave or tough as you think. I have fended off quite a few of them out on my runs around the village by turning the table on them and rushing head on to them. They always run off with their stubs between their legs. The wife thinks I'm insane and she brings our Golden Retriever with her on her runs and he has taken care of the neigbors large vicious dogs. Retrievers can kick some ass if they need to. Believe me.

You should see the Chihuahua's, they can take on a dragon any timethumbsup.gif

  7. Where did you go to school? I always thought that 100 + 50 or 100 would be rather less than 300 though I haven't got my calculator handy at the moment to check!!

what does your calculation have to do with my post or wages? i guess i went to school where they teach basic economicsthumbsup.gif

  8. Interview in Thailand is no different than back home, come prepared , on time and well presented.

I would not be stating amount you want for 2 reasons

    1. You might be uderselling yourself, and they were happy to pay more

    2. You might be over shooting and asking for more than they happy to pay

Make them make you an offer. Simply state that you understand your position and happy to consider any offer company makes as you know you need to prove yourself first. This indicates to any employee that you willing to work and they also understand you will not work for peanuts.

If i was in your shoes, i would be seeking somewhere around 100K per month, because this is what locals get

If company was to bring someone from UK, they would have to pay UK wage, plus relocation costs and much much more, so

Do not accept peanuts because Thai work culture is long hours and industry you in also has many many problems, with which you would need to deal day and night.

Make sure package includes: visa, wp, 1 flight home, rental allowance

If skilled teachers can get 100k per month, i do not see a problem an engineer getting same if not more, let us know how you go :)

Around Asok area, the passport checking scam and fines for smoking is very frequent.

From personal experience, few years back, i was pulled up for smoking(well throwing the butt away), they wanted 2000 baht fine, and for me to sign some papers in Thai.

I refused to sign or pay and told them to take me into police station.

After some "thinking time" they let me go with 100 baht donation and never bothered me again.

  10. yes u should tip. 100 baht is just to get you in the door. come on even a 60baht tip is like $2. plus the ladies will recognise your face and give u a shit massage.

Sent from my GT-I9000 using Thaivisa Connect App

    Correct imho.

If no one tipped then these prices wouldnt be sustainable. The women are working for tips. Some guys here dont have a heart at all.

Maybe if the tips stopped then the business owners would be forced to pay the workers a proper wage.

May be if the business owners charged 300 baht instead of 100, then people will be complaining about the prices

  11. Let me share my experience of Buddhism and theft and members can make what they like out of it.

I employed a new maid at one of my hotels, who stole from all the rooms.

I mean she really went all the way on her first day, she cleaned out every single room.

Lucky all started to report to reception while she was still at work. I knew it was her, but could not prove anything and camera's did not show, because she

was very skilled, ie should wrapped notebook into bed linen(dirty) so no evidence she took anything out but dirty bed linen.

Anyhow, i started to search the hotel, as i knew all the stolen goods were still in the hotel, but could not find anything, checked the trash, everywhere.

Final solution was to call a friend, policeman.

Anyhow, after he had some "words" with her behind closed doors, she admitted to stealing(got to love confession rate in Thailand) and agreed to give it all up.

He, policeman, did not want to arrest her as he claimed she be out in few hours with no recourse at all, so he made her kneel and prey asking for forgiveness from Buddha.

He made her do it out loud, in front of all the guests and staff, he also made her swear that she has returned everything she stole and she would never steal again, All sworn to Buddha.

20 mins later, after she was gone, one of the guests discovered his watch was stolen.

So after swearing to Buddha, she returned everything, not only she lied, but did keep the stolen item

One month later, i noticed her bike parked at the neighboring hotel, i went to inform them, but was too late, she also stole from their guests.

So there you go, swore to Buddha, begged for forgiveness and business as usual

  12. Thais don't seem to have a lot of empathy for animal suffering. I see soi dogs that have been run over and dragging themselves pitifully along the ground or hobbling with a broken leg. Also dogs with such bad mange that they a hairless. It breaks my heart as a dog lover to see animals so badly neglected.

Its something i worry about, if one of my 2 dogs gets hurt badly beyond recovery its almost impossible to let them put down. Sad case actually but against their Buddhist beliefs. Might have to find a way to do it myself then. Just hope i never have too.

There are a number of Vets who would do it.

Personally i would never do it again and would let them go when they ready, of course will help with pain medication and everything else possible.

Just the other day found a sick cat, could not help myself, but to take him to a vet. Do not recall the proper name for cats disease, but its like pavo in dogs.

First Vet suggested to put it down, but i refused and asked to do what he can to make suffering less, so the baby cat can die on its own.

Cat got antibiotics injection and vitamin booster, pure miracle, little guy is getting better, tomorrow off again for another injection, may be he will pull through :)

  13. All you idiots who condone dogs roaming free and attacking people and their dog need your head examined but wait what happens when you or your wife or even one of your children get bitten by a diseased dog you will whine then for sure so don't condemn or judge until you have walked a mile in the other man's shoes so quit Yapping wake up smell the coffee before your ass is bitten off. What would you guys do if another man or woman kept biting and battering your wife or kid every time you went for a walk same difference.Good luck to the German man shows how much he loves his dog, Dog owners who stand by while their dogs thwart and scare people deserve a kicking themselves for not teaching their dogs manners.

Yeah, those savages are just out on the hunt for farangs like youblink.png , better pack up, cause i do not see those savages going anywhere anytime soon.

Funny though how the mighty farangs are the ones who are bothered by this, and more funny that "idiots" like the German who is old enough to have IQ in the plus not minus, has no idea about dogs, or even ability to read a book on how to control dogs.

Praise Lord for Thai Immigration and its easy regulations which allows those who should not be allowed to enter, let alone leave their own country

  14. Had a Golden Retriever with a French Bulldog once, the small guy Bully was the Boss! Retriever only soft.

Had a bunch of big dogs, the Boss was the Rottweiler!

Even he with 10 Kilos more, did not try to change that.

But maybe the German need him (Photo downstairs) to satisfy himself and not get pissed, can leave his knife at home.

    Who, wants a Rotti "wimp"?

  15. i don't condone stabbing a dog. but several weeks ago one of my little dogs was bitten badly when walked on a leash by a maid. i'm not sure what i would have done if i had been present. and i'm not sure what i had done to that dog (if apprehended) a few days later when our dog needed daily injections for more than a week because of a bad bite infection. for sure i wouldn't have used a knife or a gun. but breaking its neck comes to my mind.

    a perfect example of a dog loverwhistling.gif

  16. First, I'd dump the girlfriend for even suggesting I "go home if I didn't like it here", then go out and buy some chicken & spice it up with that special sauce...............actually the Thai BIB came around our neighborhood on Lang Suwan and scooped up all the dogs, it was fun sitting around drinking beer watching them chase these sly animals around the streets - where they took them is anyones guess, but couple weeks later I recognized one of the fog's that made it back from "The Dead"??? or did it escape the

BIB..........its amazing how the girls I know can stop a charging dog in its tracks with a short outburst that sounds like "Haaay!!!!!

I think they teach the puppy's that "Haaay"!! means you'll get an @ss whupping if you don't stop what you are doing.thumbsup.gif

What a great made up imaginary fairy tale, thumbsup.gif

Rounding up street dogs is NOT Police duty, nor has it ever been one

  17. Thai dog owners are the worst!!! 6 months of a neighbors yappy dog 14 hours a day and I live 3 houses away. It is remarkable that people tolerate such abhorrent behavior for so long without snapping like this guy did. I have been tempted to just sit out in front of their house with an airhorn but I am a Farang so I would be the one in trouble!

Couldn't agree more, tye Thai attitude towards dogs is ridiculous.

Dogs with owners are bad enough, completely untrained in any way but the soi dogs, unbelieveable!

Disease ridden, broken limbs that never healed properly, ticks, fleas, internal parasites and open sores from the constant scratching but would Thais agree to have a dog catcher and the dogs put down? No chance!

If most of thosr dogs could talk they would say 'shoot me please'

Couple of weeks ago a pack of the local soi dogs got agressive when I was going to the shop, the pack leader made a charge for me fangs out and ready to bite, caught him perfectly under the chin with a well timed kick that sent them off yelping. Seconds later I was surrounded by angry Thais screaming at me.

Really what is wrong with these people...

The numbers of the local dogs have been slowly decreasing and will continue to do so one or two at a time.

Now where did I leave that chicken...?

you can always go back to where you came from and problem is solvedthumbsup.gif

oh but wait, you want for the entire nation to accommodate you and please you just the way you like, after all you are the big man with a pension, so they all should honor your presence in their little country

Ah the Thai'r than Thai brigade.

So to clarify you think it is ok to have packs of dangerous dogs roaming the streets, you are ok with that?

Well i do not know where you live, but where i live there are NO packs of dangerous dogs roaming the streets, there are just street dogs living on the streets, as there have been for years before you came and will stay on for years after you gone.
