This is news? LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
It's news cause they actually found the culprit and got back all the items! Good job by the authorities, and very silly moves by the culprit.

Oh a Honda Scoopy? Those sure are popular these days.

Kamronwit said he would step down as the Metropolitan police chief if he failed to bring Wichien's killer to justice.
"I can't let a police officer to die in vain. I'll bring the real culprit to justice," he said.
That's refreshing to hear.

Hopefully, this is a sign of change.

enjoy the strawberries! i love strawberries but its one of the few fruits that gone really wrong here
Yes here they are tasteless and picked before they have a chance to ripen.
However, they still expect the 'farang' price.
Oh no! I love strawberries and I haven't tried them in Thailand yet!

'just accept everything' is no way for a cultured man to live.
I didn't say accept everything..........
But unfortunately, you gotta accept most things, however unjustified they may seem.

Also, where can I find tacos in Phuket Town?

..what a nut.AKA Joy Nash. She doesn't seem to traumatised by her ordeal. She has a number of nutty video's on Youtube and appears to be a self centred attention seeker.
Unfortunately modern technology and social media have allowed for such people to broadcast their views to the world.

Now even in the cheap markets in Singapore, the fake products mostly come from China, not Thailand.

I don't think it's good to generalize the Muslims in the South.
From what I recall after being there, its a small group that is responsible for these violent acts. They act sporadically and not under the name of an organisation so that they appear bigger than they really are.
A majority of the Muslims there don't participate in the violence and do not support it. They have, however, gotten so used to hearing about the daily occurrences that they go about life as per normal.
One young Muslim told me, "If you keep thinking about the fighting going on here, you'll go crazy. Most of us are too busy trying to make enough money to survive and raise our families."

I think most of the fakes are now made in China, and this law is to prevent those products from coming into Thailand. China can apparently produce such items at even lower prices than Thailand.

When I was there, day-to-day life in the deep south is quite normal like other parts of Thailand. Every day I was there, there was an explosion in one of the provinces, but the people around me and myself didn't feel anything, physically or psychologically.

Don't they sell those maggots on the street ? Can't remember if I've tried them, but I guess deep fried they aren't half bad.
I've tried them. Those are cleaned and deep fried. Not feeding on the rotting food while it's served.
-
Maggots are a delicacy in many African countries. In India they find eating cow meat repulsive. Theres nothing wrong with eating maggots, its not what shes used to eat though
Yes but the maggots are in the prison food probably because the food itself is rotting. That's bad.

As you can see from most of the comments made before me, foreigners staying in Thailand do care about the state of the Thai people. They may dislike the way the country is run, but that doesn't mean they dislike its people.

I think Thailand can withstand it. I mean, look at how long Bangladesh has been going through it.
-
Strange that she didn't lose weight. But I do find those prison conditions disturbing. No one should have to eat food with maggots in it.

“We are not looking for these people since it is not a big crime"

Some Thai friends have told me Thailand has been taken over, economically and to many extents politically, by Chinese immigrants and Thais of Chinese descent.

When Do You Use The Word "karuna" (Please)
in Thai Language
Posted
I learnt that "karuna" is an equivalent of the English word "please", but I've never actually heard it being used in TV or in real life. Can someone share examples of it being used? Or is it too formal and outdated?
