  1. Seems the 2nd amendment is more important than school children... sad.png

Man, the second amendment has nothing to do with this. If someone really wants a gun he can get one regardless if guns are illegal for the general public in that country or not. And that's true for any country on this planet.

I agree with you. But it should be made difficult for ownership of fire arms.

No money to look at insane people.

  2. Do they really think that people will start buying the real ones now that the fake ones have been destroyed? Do they really think that they haven't already gone back into business? I understand trying to protect intellectual property but the vast majority of the people buying these items are people that would not buy the original anyways and going a little further will just find the fakes somewhere else. The only people they are hurting are the local vendors....

I think if the fake ones are no longer around and people want the products they will buy the real ones. It's good the Thai government did this. They need to do it all over Thailand.

The people who buy knock-offs will not buy the real items. They make 300-500 baht per day! Also, 29M baht is nothing at all compare to the illegal activity the counterfeits make. A drop in the bucket sort of speak.

  3. Thailand is on its way to deserving the "developing country" classification. Soon it will spend about US$14 billion to built train system from BKK to two northern cities. It is doing well overall. It needs to do better of course. Like a better infrastructure e.g., garbage collection, clean water supply, etc.

    Above the following was posted:

"of course, it's getting harder and harder even for many western countries to maintain/reach a Triple-A rating, especially when they overspend to fund populist policies...no need to mention specific countries...we know who they are. "

Please mention the countries, are they in Europe of in continental America?

  4. TheOldGit above has a point about having to go to the immigration office after all because you still have to FILE the documents. He states:

Am I missing something here? You still have go to the Immigration Office, so you still have to spend time and have hassle of traffic, there is an ATM outside the office, so what are the benefits to us? I'm not bothered about the fee though.

So, I am or maybe was, a newbie but I have a valid point on having to copy and file documents with them----- at least in some cases! We must be careful were we thread guys. Don't be blinded, narrow minded.
