Many of them will try...women more so than men, especially if you invite them out then many (but not all of them of course ) will show up with at least 1 friend on a first date.

Many of them do not have money enough to be eating at a nice restaurant so getting a freebie meal out of a Farang is always a way to save a little money.

Of course many do have more than enough money...but..... the attitude is:

The man pays anyhow, if he asked the girl out ...so they bring along some friends to test the man to see how generous he is with his money.

That is how I more or less came to think about it when I ended up in the company of more than one girl that came with the girl that I asked out.

Or I would say let's go have coffee and talk and if they said let's go eat then I would say I am not hungry or I ate already but you go and eat and meet me again in 1 hours...OK...like that.

That way you test them to see if they are hoping to get a free meal when you are meeting for a first date and if they do meet you again in 1 hour it tells you something about them.

Now...if you meet them and you pay for a meal and pay for the girls friends also and later on, say that same night or in a relative short period of time, say one week, the girl is in your bed with you while you did not invite her rather she invited herself, in a manner of speaking, then the meal or meals paid for are considered worthwhile paying for as they "paid off"...is one way of thinking about it...lol

    Cheers

Can't see there would be much difference. Presumably Pus*y would be high on the menu so no change there except as a female you would have a bit more of a clue what the f***k makes them dance.

then you have all the hassle of the 30 day reporting to Dr Tampax and all the psychosis that that event creates.

then later on you have  the menaupause which will really cook your goose

and all of that whilst earning less than a man.

    not for me thanks

The monthly oil change doesn't take that long.

You should be very worried because your wife seems to be in love with  at least one. But that unrealistic, once in the scene, she's known for certain techniques she enjoys.

Sexuality isn't anymore as it was when your grandfather married his wife.

Why else would they visit your wife?

Please take your tinted sunglasses off and face reality. Too old, can't do what she'd like to have, too small, gone after 3 seconds, etc..

Your questions should have been vice versa. Why do  tons of toms turn to married wives like yours?

As far as I'm aware work is only allowed when a non B is held.

Non-Immigrant Visa "O" -- Accompanying spouse or family members

    1. REQUIREMENT

This type of visa is issued to applicants who wish to accompany spouse or family members working, studying or living in Thailand.

    http://www.thaiembassy.org/hochiminh/en/services/2886/34923-Non-Immigrant-Visa-"O"---Accompanying-sp.html

I've worked on Non-O's before at Thai schools, so no hearsay.

  5. The phone is  a great gift for her Thai lover. Living here a long time, but he can't communicate doesn't fit.

Are you really sure that your friend produced the baby? Did you and your friend ever read Private dancer and understand what it's all about?

Flowers for mom sounds already insane, sorry other poster. Thais prefer something that doesn't die so fast.

Having a good filled bank account is usually enough to pay for all the stuff that all the people who show up uninvited ( but informed about your friend's trip who might be you).

Tell your friend that they slaugher twp pigs, which shows a good understanding of Thai culture.

Some Lao Khao for the ordinary folks, Regency for the daddy and your friend.

Please tell your friend to talk to his gf that she's not allowed to sleep in the same room with her brother when he passes out. That's pretty much it.

Aeeh, please don't forget to smile when you "Wai" your soon parents in law.

There seem to be people with work permits,(have a job in Thailand) people married to Thais or retired all stretching their stays with "visa runs" when the visa they have can be extended. I find this baffling.

Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect

Why is it baffling when people are allowed to work on a Non-O they can easily get in Laos/Sawannakhet?

The times are over that a visa has to run with the dates of the work permit.

If someone's working for a school on a Non-O and is losing his job, he won't lose his permission of stay.

Heeeeeey, I didn't come to LOS to eat Thai grub, and I can tell you Thai folk do NOT go to farangland to eat farang grub.........:post-4641-1156693976:

Trans, have you ever even tried sticky rice with mangoes and coconut milk? That's also Thai food.

A lot of great vegetable dishes, fried chicken ( not KFC), fresh fish you won't find back home, plus a lot of other good stuff.

Even mother in law's silk worms are healthier than all the KFC and MAC junk.

There's an old German saying: Farmers don't eat what they don't know.

I agree that there's plenty of fried junk food around with enough Formaline to keep our bodies young forever, but also some good stuff.

Uggh, I'll take my chances with Thai street food rather attempt a hotdog, rancid things they are.

Uaagggghhhhh  I prefer my noodle soup to a hotdog.

P.S. Please don't watch the movie before any meal.

If the water  will not leave the machine ,it is either the water pump blocked or the  waist  pipe blocked ,I have had both problems ,once we had a small toad in the waist pipe  that prevented  water from being pumped out , now when the misses has finished a wash  she lifts the waist pipe up ,twice I have had wire in the pump ,again water  will not pump out .

You might have to clean it up and find a fortune in coins......

  10.   I can buy a hotdog on the street in America for the same price as street/cart food in Thailand and have less chance of falling ill.

A hotdog that contains 85 fat, water, and some other stuff you don't wanna know about?

What you're missing are the eye candies, the climate, culture, smiles, the beaches, plus a lot more.

             Enjoy your hotdog, sir. :shock1:

My understanding (someone will no doubt correct me if I am wrong) when you already have a work permit, the documents you needed for the original Non B application are no longer needed. Indeed, if you are going to Penang, and the work permit is valid for another 8 months, they may give you a multiple entry Non B valid for a year.

With the little information given by the OP it's pretty hard to give an answer.

    1.  If the documents are not right, can I get a tourist visa, come back to Thailand and in 3 months go get a non-b again??

Why don't you focus on the right documents, Google what you need and come back with a Non-B visa?

    2. If the documents are not right, can I get a 30 on arrival stamp , come back to Thailand and in 3 months go get a non-b again?

Ubonjoe might hopefully pop in soon, but reading your thoughts, once on a tourist visa your work permit might be worth nothing.

  12. I think Sawannakhet is way easier and when married to a Thai woman you don't need to show financial proof.

Please Google a bit and you'll find plenty of threads. They seem to be a little bit more relaxed there, all you need to show is the original marriage certificate, a copy of wife's ID and the fee.

Then one night in Laos and you can pick your visa up the next day.

Just be polite, well dressed and don't give them any lies you can't back up at the border and the Consulate.

But I'd tell somebody to call the Immigration in your area for you which might be the easiest solution. Pay your fine, say a few times that you're so sorry and you'll be fine. ( And fined)

Maybe you're very sick on Thursday and Friday and a clinic's certificate can back this up. They ain't monsters when you show that you're not a criminal.

              Best of luck.

A good question. He may be the vanguard of something that will become prevalent. He may have upset the immigration official in some way. There may be some profiling going on that immigration use to identify people more likely to be working illegally. It is all so opaque.

My own view is that there are signs of a tightening up. I think using tourist entries to live in Thailand is one of the areas receiving scrutiny. As is so often the case, the immigration officials are as confused as we are about what they are supposed to be doing.

Thai immigration law seems fairly straightforward until you note that almost everything is subject to being overridden by instructions from the Minister or Director General. When those are forthcoming, they are sometimes public, sometimes not. They are sometimes contradictory.

If a blanket ban on anyone staying more than 180 days a year is introduced, it will be announced. If an instruction has gone out that people staying longer than 180 days a year on tourist entries should be scrutinized to determine if they are genuine tourists (according to undefined criteria) then we are going to see a lot of arbitrary decisions. It behooves those living here on tourist entries to have a plan B, even if (in practice) you do not need to implement it.

Please see post 69, imagine where else the OP's getting money from, plus not paying 800 baht for meals/cell " he's buying a sandwich, instead" that might have been cheaper, makes all bells ringing very loud.
