Still clear as mud. I came in to Swampy on a non O multiple entry marriage based visa in January just before the visa expired. I got 90 day permission to stay. That ran out today 10 April. I had intended to go to Savanakhet and apply for a new non O multiple but of course border closed on both sides. So last week I went to Kalasin IO and go a 60 day extension. The emergency amnesty had not been published then.

So I am good to stay until 9 June although I'd actually rather not.

Anyway my flights out and back to France have now been cancelled. So I have to rebook to leave for Europe now.

If this crisis continues in to June, what then?

My current 60 day extension was granted after 26 March. I'm not in a position, even if I wanted a 1 year marriage extension, to raise 400k and anyway for 2 months seasoning that should have been done by today..

Does the amnesty, if still in force - at the moment it's only to 30 April anyway,  apply to me when this extension runs out? If not, what if borders here still closed so I cannot get to Savanakhet  or I cannot get a flight back to France or if it is outrageously  expensive and/;or travel within France to get to my destination there is still very restricted as it is presently

I'm in a very similar situation except I am one day behind you (my 60 days is up June 10th.

From what I gather, we will be able to extend for another 60 days with the same documents you used on your first extension + letter from embassy.

Seems the Thai government isn't going to make a blanket extension for all and if they did it would be for a short window.  If I'm not out by une 10 then I am for sure going to do the extension so I have adaquate time

The official added that the meltblown non-woven fibre is important because it serves as a barrier to viruses, adding that it is becoming more and more difficult to find this material and its price has risen 10-fold. Hence, the official said, CP has had to coordinate with its networks and partners worldwide to procure the material.

I dont understand.  Are they saying that a price spike (gouging) has lead to innovation and companies re-tooling to meet the demand in order to profit?  And by doing so more goods and services of need are being produced for the people and entities that need them???????

<deleted>?  I am continually told price gouging is WRONG!

Source please for your assertion that Greta's parents are Antifa funded by Soros. As many know, trying to blame Soros for things is a code for Jew hatred.

BTW, whether she uses plastic bottles or not, I think Greta is an authentic person and I do not believe she is a puppet of her parents and Soros.

But give it your best shot and try to prove your outrageous accusation.

Adam Schiff בטוויטר: "Greta Thunberg, at 16 years old, has more ...

You can believe what you want, but how else does a 16 year old rise so quickly to such popularity.  If you think it was organic then i have a bridge to sell you.

Either way, neither mind is being changed so im done with the discussion about her.

    What exactly don't you believe?

That free people should make their own decisions.  My rights do not end where your fear starts.

If you want to talk about health and safety keep in mind, for every 1% increase in unemployment there are about 40,000 deaths (in the USA).

I dont pretend to know what is best for you so please dont pretend to believe what is best for me.

"More and more kids are growing up not to question anything that comes out of the corporate media or government."

Not in the UK and Europe - more and more "kids" (i.e. teenagers & young adults) are learning to question almost everything that comes out of the corporate media and the state, as evidenced by the large numbers joining Greta Thunberg's Friday School Strikes and Extinction Rebellion groups. They are seeing the neo-liberal corporatocracies for what they are, destroying the planet, fueling bigger gaps between the 1 % and the rest and ruining their future prospects, so turning against them in growing numbers.  Many have also read 1984 as required reading at school and understand the dystopian future around the corner, if they sit around and let the populist dictators like Trump and corporate oligarchs rule their lives.

:cheesy: Greta Thunberg is a puppet of the neo-liberals and corporatists :cheesy::cheesy::cheesy:

If you read all the words, I'm not talking about the countries but the people of those countries.

I read the words.  Household debt to income isnt any better:

debt to income (first google result)

    France - 95.88%

    England -  123%

    Spain - 95.45%

    USA - 76%

Either way, pot/kettle situation you got going

He should start by touring Thai banks to explain something very simple in force in most developed countries:
prohibition to lend money to a person or a family who already has an outstanding personal debt reaching 30% of his or her monthly income.
It would avoid seeing all these officials who have outstanding debts sometimes exceeding 80% of their income.

what developed countries are you talking about?  the USA is run off of debt.  Back in 2002-2007 they even invented NJNA (ninja) i,e, No Job No Income loans.

Most of the western countries themselves wouldn't qualify for loans under your standards

    Debt to GDP %

    UK -85.9% of GDP (2018)

    Spain - 97.6% of GDP (2018)
    Germany 61.9% of GDP (2018)
    France - 98.4% of GDP (2018)
USA is likely headed for 150% by the time the stimulus is added up and GDP falls

I agree with your sentiment but "the west" can hardly lecture the east on debt hahaha

Thanks for the report. Exactly what documents did you a actually need. Did you need a tm30?

We did the TM30 when we first arrived but have since spent a few nights in a hotel.  Asked the wife about that before we left and she failed to redo it when we returned.  luckily it was not an issue.

I had everything Joe recommended in my other thread

p.s.  after we filled out 3 separate forms at immigration.  the IO asked i write my name, passport number, and date on a blank page.  Then she asked me to write "need only 60 days" and sign.  Was strange since that is what all the other documents stated.

Inflation and then hyper inflation ... it's always the same !

You can't print your way out of a crisis - never worked and never will.

Yep, they never learn that the companies that got over leveraged need to be able to fail.  the "fix" they did in 2000 lead directly to 2009.  the fix for 2009 lead directly to 2020
the fix they are trying for this may bring the whole system down
the economy needs to restructure.  people need to go bankrupt, and assets need to be reallocated

France, which has roughly the same number of inhabitants, has already released almost one trillion euros; over one trillion US dollars ..
We see the whole difference between the 5 * country in the world, economically speaking, and a third world country ...

Yea, the "5*" countries need more help propping up the house of cards

There are several ongoing topics where the 60 day extension has been discussed.

You could apply to 2 week early up to the last day.

You wife will need to be with you when you when you apply.

You marriage certificate and a copy of it, copies your wife's house book registry and ID card.

A copy of your visa and TM6 departure card along with the others you mentioned. One 4 X 6 cm photo for the TM7 application form.

    I appreciate you restating here

  12. I tried searching TV for this answer and although im sure its on here, couldn't find the answer.  Therefore figured having it in this thread would help others as all info will be in one place.

Im almost at the point where i need to do my 60 day extension.  Is there any time restrictions on how close to the date of visa expiration I am able to do the extension?  Also, i know i will need my passport, photo copies of front page and entry page, along with a couple pictures.   Anything else i need for a non-o 60 day extension?

I don’t see anything wrong with supply and demand costs - those selling masks at a higher price are probably having to pay higher cost price too. The government should be buying them and subsidizing to the general public like they do many other things (fuel etc).

Some airlines that are still operating flights are currently charging astronomical Amounts for tickets. Makes these mask gauging prices look tame.

So the pilots and other airline workers who are risking their health to get people from point A to point B should not receive adequate compensation?  what about the airlines taking the risk of lawsuits and having added costs to operate those flights, should they not be compensated?
