  1. Typical politicians same the world over live with there head in a bucket

The school kids wouldn't go in there nearest shop to buy booze in case there teachers see them or find out

You really think they won't just travel a little extra to get it if they want booze anyway, what's the point of depriving the shop owners and adult buyers of booze there right to do so

The enforce of the I D rule would work with plenty of spot checks in the towns but not the counrryside ,I used to have a small mom and pop shop I had reguller custermors who used to send there kids to buy booze , the day I stopped it they all went to the shop down the road and I lost a lot of money

  2. Very usfull tree the mulberry I fed the raw leaves to my ducks mixed with boiled rice ( broken 8 bt per kilo) + waste coconut meal and over ripe papaya and they thrive

Very easy to grow just cut off a branch put it in the ground and it grows

  3. The letter of the law says no eggs fertile or not should be brought into Thailand ,but I mate of mine had a dozen turkey eggs sent from uk with EMS ,he had a "do not x ray fertile eggs" sticker on it and it arrived no problem

Keep in touch I'm going back to uk soon I'm interested also in peafowl I will bring some eggs back

I'm into all kinds of poultry I have geese turkey

quail black bone chicken est plus a large incubator to hatch and breed

  4. Think the way to if you really wanted peafowl would be get someone to buy on eBay in uk £20-35 for 3 eggs , then get someone to bring them or post them

You lose some in postage , xrays but if there packed right you should get more than 60 % hatch rate

I did it with my golden giant quail I brought over 24 one got Brocken in transit and 14 hatched out fine and healthy

  5. True enough I've heard plenty of horror story's about the plod over here, including people who have "fallen out of police cars" and people who "disappear ",of couse you can't compare that with getting stopped at check points, but what boils my piss is when I'm stopped and it's "suggested" that money should be handed over when I've done nothing wrong.I never give but there are alot of farang who do

One incident was when I was on my way into surin,I was riding a new motorbike so my licence plate hadn't arrived yet, I had the papers to prove it was my bike and a letter from the shop saying the licence plate was pending, yet this cop still insisted on fining me 200 bt, I refused to pay it and was taken to the police station where they made me wait 2 hours before letting me go saying it was a Missunderstanding.

  6. The reason I raised the subject was

I have just returned from a 4,000 km motor bike trip (23 days) touring in a rough circle surin - Petchaboon - Tak -mea hong son - Chang mai - nong khai - Ubon- Surin . All in all 15 different provinces without any hassle off the plod at all,I was stopped only twice the first time on the 24 an hour into my trip (surin), and the second time on my last day just 5 km into surin Provence

I live on the main sang kha - surin road and now I would bet my pension on seeing at least one police check every single day somewhere along the road, if you are going into surin city probably 2 , it never used to be as bad,and other provinces don't seem to have the same hassle

  7. Once took a girl out of a bar in pattaya, she was very White though I don't normally care if there dark or pale as long as they are attractive , took her back to my hotel and got a real shock when she came out of the bathroom . Her head and lower arms where almost White but the rest of her body was dark brown, she looked weird ,like an African who had fallen head first into a bag of flour.the reason for this she explained was she wanted to be while but the skin lotions where very expensive

  8. Too all the posters who keep banging on about " it's only 10 baht" and "they do a hard job",they are completely missing the point,it's the principle that's important here . Why should I someone who works in Thailand and has no other income from my country of birth pay more than a Thai doing exactly the same . Why should I be expected to tip and called a cheap charly when I don't when the Thais do not . Tipping has never been part of Thai culture or custom exept among farang tourist areas

All you "do gooders" throwing your money around trying to give a "good impression " because you can afford it are coursing big problems for people like me who are trying to live like the Thais in Thailand , because 9 times out of 10 when you pay double the normal price the Thais don't think "oh there go's a kind person" they are probably thinking " what an idiot"
