Lol. You've got the addiction. I was the same years back. I kept making flights back and forth every few months after my first trip. All I could think at my day job was how I could get back to Pattaya. Eventually I just packed my bags and bought a one way ticket out here. That was a while ago.

You mean all Asian women (which is a big variety), not simply referring to Thai, Korean and Chinese?

Think he means the E. Asian kind. But really all Asian women are like this. I know of a guy who married an Indian girl and he says they are just incredible. Very feminine and committed. Real women.

If you travel a bit more you'll discover that just about all non-western women are like this. The problem is that many western women have shunned femininity which to many men is a real turn off. Now men are forced to go abroad to find a mate which is quite sad.

I think it's always bad weather. Either soggy or humid. I just went out and I'm sweating like mad. It's hot out there!

These people are desperate. They do what they must to survive. Oh sure the well off can look down their noses and chastise the poor for being "bad" or "immoral". But I don't see the rich out there dealing drugs or robbing banks.. because they don't have to.

I went out yesterday and couldn't even cross the street the traffic was so bad. I'm getting tired of this place. I think sometimes you need to get out once in a while or it wears you down. But I always end up coming back. There is still that addictive element.

I think they forgot to tell everyone that the population also grew by about the same amount or more. So, there has been NO recovery. In fact, incomes keep falling and living standards are worsening by the day. Very sad situation which the government there refuses to acknowledge.

what is with these call centers??

Been wanting to get a dog or cat here for years but never gotten around to it. There are animals on the street but they look pretty rabbied and mangy for me. A nice business idea would be to have some dogs and cats where people could go in and pet them.

Any guy going to a poor, third world country is going to be cocky with the ladies. I'm sure a lot of us are less cocky in farangland considering the cost of a short one is 10,000 bahts an hour.

One thing for certain; Thais at these places are usually quite accomodating if you are nice to them and let them in on your little party atmosphere. I have never known Thais at any of these venues to behave in this manner if the patrons are polite, in a good mood, smile, laugh, tip and buy a drink or two for the staff who are working their asses off in a job they most lilely would not like to be working; taking care of a bunch of drunken <deleted> at 5am on ANY morning, after they've been drinking for several hours.

My vote goes to the Thais this time.

Agree. Somebody is almost always never telling the whole story.

I have seen a few very young looking girls being pimped out there in years past. Sometimes you can't tell if they are underage. I'm sure many guys take them out without knowing they just slept with an underage girl.

Been going downhill and to the dogs since 2008 but people are going out buying condos left and right. Makes NO sense to me at all but maybe they know something I don't. Maybe their idea of a paradise is millions of cheap package tourists about, huge traffic jams, dirty eroding beaches, and high prices. Dunno.

Soi Bongkot. A few places here for 4-6k/month and they have wifi and aircon. Not a very good location but it's out of the tourist area. No problem as me and a few other long timer expats like it that way.

I've always thought of religion and spirituality as a sort of cultural decoration. Religions can be interesting things but I'd just rather not participate in them. I'm too rational I guess.
