In other news, Driver's Ed classes at Samut Prakan High School have been temporally suspended....

Sure my post will produce lots of responses but why in the world would you want to go to Koh Chang? It's in a word one of the worst Thai islands I have ever visited i.e. some of the most polluted beaches in all of Thailand, a very few usable beaches (unless you stay in the resorts that ban and prohibit use of 'their' beaches), and island except for one of its entire sides has no beaches at all but rocky impassible outcrops, a rubbish problem that sees an almost constant stink of piled up refuse on the roadsides.

Used to be fun. When I was there in April, White Sand looked like Damascus.
Checkpoint at the big mushroom was taken down a week or so ago. But just before that, my bud and his Thai wife pulled up, she handed her vax record to the official while my unvaxxed bud just sat there, the official gave it a glance and waved them through.
Lonely Beach is still nice. Hotel deals abound.

So sorry, Jeff, that my cogent and clear reply to you confused you....
I will try harder next time.

I also pay zero attention to that sector. I have never been on social media, and never will be. I do not watch the news. I barely watch TV. I do not go to conspiracy websites. I rarely access the internet, except now, while in ASQ.
I do however have backgrounds and experience in biology and chemistry (BS degree), as a paramedic, and law enforcement as a deputy, later a detective.
Why would I put my trust in absolute strangers? Ranters and conspiracy theorists and fanatics and those seeking financial gain, any more than I would the media and elected/appointed officials on both sides of the aisle who have lied to us in the past on many occasions and 'experts' who have been wrong in the past?
None are worthy of our consideration. All have agendas geared towards the acquisition of money and/or power.
What others believe, whatever their camp, is typically based on finding forms of support for what they want to believe, then espousing it.
I read the most reliable data I can source, determine its veracity, and draw any reasonable conclusions from it that I can.
But mostly, I use my long study of human nature to reach a conclusion......
Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Yes, the governments know a lot they are not telling.
Why anyone would trust their 'leaders' to do what is best for their citizens in these days and times is beyond me.....
"Hope springs eternal"... I suppose

No, they don’t kill dogs there. They have over a thousand dogs, and they send them to Europe and America for adoptions. They brought Tammy to me from Phuket. They are a very impressive organization. Thanks for considering Tammy.

I am actually sad that it didn't work out. But she'll be okay, she'll have friends to play with until adopted, and people are suckers for disabled dogs.
My pup is being cared for and was sad for a few days. They send me a video twice a day. The last couple of days she is having a blast playing with the other dogs.

Don't mean to be presumptuous, but have you ever discussed with your wife about how Tammy would actually likely be protective of her, rather than dangerous to her?
I have been around a lot of dogs, was a sheriff's K-9 handler back in the 80s, and looking at Tammy, I get the impression she would be very defensive of her family, blind or not.
Just a thought....

I am not getting any responses from the community. So if you would consider taking Tammy we would have to start initiating this over the next few days, otherwise she is back to Phuket and Soi Dogs. Let me know please.

Boy, wish I could move forward, but I'm still in ASQ. After I'm out, I have at least 5 days in BKK on business. I would love to further consider her, but the timing is off and the logistics are a bit overwhelming, especially being on opposite sides of the country.
I wish you and Tammy the best. Please tell me Soi Dogs is a no kill shelter....

Correct. What they have engaged in is nothing short of economic terrorism, inflicted upon the majority of the people here. Is it despicable, horrifying, and utterly immoral. But, that is just who the leaders are.
Woe is Thailand.

Gave you a like, because I agree. These are sick, evil scum for what they are perpetrating on innocent, helpless citizens.
But every country is the same. Intent on bringing the walls down around us.
And I for one do not have, nor need, leaders. I am not a follower.

How ridiculous. You're in Thailand mate. Get with the program. I suppose the positive thing for you is that you will fit in with the other illogical thais that live in your area.
Once again, all I can say is. 'thank god Im not Amercian'

Well, thanks much for the cogent and mature comment.

OP post is inconsistent & incomplete.
Says dogs near beach will kill the puppy yet paints joyful joint beach scenes.
And “new” vehicle irrelevant.

Saw that awhile back, but went on for minutes. And, it didn't have the people cracking up, which really adds to it. Hilarious.
I'm guessing the dog on the inside is the Poster, and the one outside lacks reading comprehension and is giving the OP a ration of s........

France is doing the same....
But the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, and pretty much everything else tourists go there for will remain closed.
Make your reservations now!

I can't imagine being any clearer in my original post, but more than a few posters seem to have reading comprehension issues.....
Or maybe just too much coffee.

IQ or Reasoning Test, right ? or just having a laugh. I’ll play along over my coffee. puppy would need to be left inside enclosed vehicle while you are on the beach (or you stay inside vehicle too). then vehicle must be “new”. preferred beaches yards away from house. nothing makes any sense here. leave puppy locked inside house and carry on as before. there isn’t anyway you can enjoy these beaches with your puppy alongside, is there ? buy a new vehicle for other reasons you’re not telling us……we are not talking puppies here are we ?

Yeah, and someone failed....
"I have a new pup, and I'll be d@mned if she is going to be denied going with me to swim and play frisbee."
Can't get much clearer than that....

Never had it. Like you, I actually have a life. But, I finally bit the bullet and bought a new "Smart" phone, an i-Phone 13, but really for the excellent camera.
Makes me nauseous to think of downloading F-Book onto it....
But there appears to be an alternative, according to the post just below yours....

Still plenty around for sale, my old N/V is about 23yrs old, i've kept it going though, now only use it locally to collect building stuff, take the rubbish to the bins, etc, and is the only car i let Mrs B drive. ???? Converted to LPG too. 0 to 100 kl in 8.3 sec on gas with a/c on, it only has 13'' wheels not the normal 14'' ones.
.
Hmmm, haven't looked. Assumed since they are collectables the price would be high?
Thanks, I'll start browsing. Fun, fun car/truck.
