Agreed --always feel one sided in many of my exps with thais.... So what are they offering to LURE these high quality tourists?.....what a imagination thais have as they live in this perfect little bubble world they all think the outside world is begging to get inside of.....smh

I was at the gas station last week and my gas "floater" has been stuck for years and the guy did something putting gas in my tank as a big air pocket blew out and gas went everywhere BUT he did finally get my gauge fixed so it registers full now as it was jammed on stg inside since I bought it-yay!

Was out in CNX Nimman area tonight--PACKED!!!!!!! Was like pre covid and the bars were going full blast as I was on soi 5 and full house traffic horrible as usual.......i just scanned my hand for temp and wrote my # but a thai gal that met us got a free atk test to enter..... Thai holiday weekend of course--popped over to old city and was deserted....

maybe not tourism but locals are out and about esp in nimman area..confirmed tonight on scene

Confirmed--Ive been back in CM for 3 weeks and ride my bike daily around old town....sad to see so many hotels and hostels closed and for rent signs all over....BUT i have noticed a good bit of "fixing up" as if something is brewing.....maybe new owners scooping up on deals..lots of remodeling going on at hotels, some opening..etc,,,,,odd.... Nimman was PACKED tonight---looked like pre covid high season but of course is a thai holiday weekend and nice weather--so local spots booming but quiet in old town areas but have noticed the farang tourists creeping back..also 2nd weekend of walking street was packed last week too...but that was also a thai weekend holiday thing too but a good mix of tourists......and the booze is back as well

I flew Lax to SIN-BKK on Nov 17 and SING sweated me HARD at LAX about my covid test date as it was dated the 14th and I argued the RESULTS came in on the 15th as I was in Lax late on the 17th...They are real jerks imo and wont use them again--aslso face recog cameras to board without any opt out!??? So the guy is arguing with me at lax and says I may NOT be able to board and throwing me into a panic as I already flew from DC-denver.....he sent a pic of my covid test to "somone" in BKK with his phone and said its UP TO THEM to decide....Who???? some dude on your phone???? man--talk about chaos Anyway i was allowed to board but what a sh*tshow with them...never again Sing Air--I miss EVA Air..... I did have a throwaway onward tix but no one asked to see it...it was all about my covid test date and the plane was running late so my layover in SIn was basically me running thru SIn to make my connection to BKK...the thai pass in BKK was simple and was quick--then off to hotel--for PCR
