16m baht? 2 years tops if he keeps it together.

Never did a 90 day report in person to begin with. No idea what the 'agent' puts on there but I never had a problem in almost 10 years.

AOT does that, too.
AOT charges at least 1,700 baht for the E-Class which is (to my knowledge) the cheapest sedan they have, unless you want to sit in a Fortuner or Camry - which you could get from UBER.

Some decisions in life require you to look ahead in time, such as buying a house, getting married and having kids. The perspective and scope for a 60 year old retiree with pension is completely different than a 28 year English teacher who fell in love with a Thai girl. It will be very difficult for the 28 year old to get settled here.
Not an english teacher here.. by far, but I came here at 20 - now I am here 10 years and married.
We got a decent european car and a condo that is paid for.
The outlook isn't that much different, just that we don't look 20 years ahead from now. It's bugging me in my current day to day life.
I just came back from a business trip and while others passed me in the fast track line, the I/O was going through my passport like I was some sort of criminal.
Everything we have is paid for in cash, all cash comes from abroad. Not taking anyones job and just contributing to the society and eco system by spending my money in Thailand.
It is a scary thought that you can get refused entry at any given time - without reason, under the current martial law.
I doubt much would change if I'd switch to an Elite Visa which cost a fortune for nothing (we don't play golf and the misses enjoys the spa on our on dime). Fast track at the airport is the same when flying Business or First class than on the Elite Visa, so even that won't change much in our situation.

Didn't all the crap start once the idiot blew up the backpack on Erawan? Before that, there weren't any visa changes or tightenings on the rules.
The uncertainty of what is going to happen is really putting a damper on a lot of things in our every day life. I am not thinking about 20 years from now, but tomorrow.
Should I buy a car, should I buy a condo, renovate the current one... the list goes on.
It's hard to make it your home if you can get thrown out in a blink of an eye without doing anything wrong.
I have been here 10 years but just like the OP I don't feel 'welcome' anymore.

Do a Google for: removals bangkok
Lots of hits.

True, no need for ThaiVisa and the annoying ads left and right. Will use google from now on, thanks!

Hi,
I need to move my entire households from almost 10 years of living to another condo and probably need a 6 wheel truck to do that.
Anyone knows a good company that will come and pack it all up and move it and knows their prices?

Friend of mine got a divorce while being on a extension based on marriage.
His extension is valid for another 5 months and his divorce was 2 months ago. From my understanding the day he divorced he had 24 hours to leave the country, correct?
He claims the Amphur doesn't report to immigration and he will just fly out without a re-entry permit and come back on a tourist visa.
Is he right or does he have to pay an overstay fine? I think he is taking a gamble here.

Why not just spend 1-2 nights in Bangkok and get it there? No need for any of this 'police clearance' stuff.

Won't be disconnected any time soon

Had the same questions a few months ago when coming back from Japan - 'How long you stay this time ?'.
Told the I/O maybe 1-2 weeks, he didn't say another word and stamped 30 days VOA in my passport.

I have used JVK Movers in the past without issues. A 6 wheel truck from Bangkok to Pattaya was under 20k I think. Very professional company. Nothing was damaged and everything was handled with care.
They are located in Bangkok but quite sure they will come out and help you move in Chon Buri.
6) Can backfire for her and you. If she won't cancel it the bill just goes higher and higher every month. If she ever wants to apply for another True contract, they'll tell her to pay the old bill first and all hell will break loose for you.
7) Forget about it
8) You don't have to - your landlord has to but most likely wont.

Is this a straight forward process or lots of hoops to jump through?

Hi,
A friend of mine got a nice job offer in the netherlands and would like to take his thai-wife with him.
The company cant assist him with a visa for his wife. What kind of long stay options does she have?
They have no child and have been married for 5 years now.

my guess would be child dependent I get TW for Thai wife
I'll second that.

From 30-100k baht, depending on your contacts.

Taxi to Pattaya 1,000 - 1,500 baht.
Taxi to Hua Hin - 2,000 baht.
You are on a holiday (I guess?) so $50 to travel from one city to another shouldn't break the bank.
-
Do you happen to be in Pattaya?
It's a common play.. I might be able to help you out, free of charge. PM me.

I thought that if you still owed finance on the vehicle that you can't take it over.. Is this correct??
That is still true from what I know.

And how about us with permanent residency. We require a re-entry permit in both passport and PR book. We too can sometimes need to leave Thailand in an emergency. Can immigrationat the airports help us too? I ask because every year I have huge problems at the local Immi office as most Officers do not understand what is needed, and do not have the correct stamps. After numerous phone calls and some 4 hours later I usually have a stamp of sorts.
How can your PR expire if you leave the country? The revoke PR if you don't have a re-entry permit?
PR is effectively an extension of stay that gives indefinite leave to stay. It is not permanent and can be revoked, and like any extension of stay it would end if leaving the country without a re-entry permit.
It is not Permanent but called Permanent ? TIT I guess..

I will need the 1-year multi-entry, correct?
Multi-Entry-Non-O

Laos seems like your best option right now. Can't think of a better way to get a non-o. Extension of stay is out of the question without the 400k in the bank.

Yes, I can read thank you.
16 milion / 24 = about 666,000 baht a month which is not THAT much.. that is hardly $20k USD/month.
Good luck living on that for more than a few years.. but lets not start the old thai visa bs, who earns more and what not. I am just saying I couldn't live on that longer than 2 years.
