Having sex is not generally considered dangerous for a female, running about, at night, in the jungle would be considered dangerous by many.
And whats your point? Is it more dangerous for female than for male to go forba hike and if you happen to mean so - why?

Should not have to be so but it is a fact of life. What planet are you from?
The world is not Utopia!
So who is making it dangerous for females then? Maybe think about that for a while?

I flew in from Australia less than a month ago with no visa and on a one way ticket. And at the check in counter in Sydney airport the person who checked me in asked and demanded a ticket out of the country. I have done my homework so I had made a booking out of Thailand within a month after my arrival so all good. When arriving in Thailand nobody asked to see any tickets or booking out of the country.

Also quite a few humour-deficient over serious farangs around, it's surprising they manage in light-hearted Thailand...
And your opinions and thoughts about OPs questions are what?
Humour are great when it can be considered humour, nonsense are always nonsense.

Its quite a piss off when a serious question gets some corney answers like central world.
Brewster unfortunately I don't live in Thailand yet but have travelled a lot and one of the prettiest places in the north was Mae Hong son. Changmai now is too polluted and the smoke in some months is terrible.Changrai somehow I didn't like too much.
Ive heard nice things about Petchburi and Loei too.
If you are fond of the sea then I recommend you a place few know called Khanom very picturesque nice breeze all the time cool nights nice people but ofcourse its south so its hot.
U fly to Nakhon Si Thammerat and then take the van from there. Its a very small town with great food. Nearest shopping mall is Nakhon Si Thammerat or Surat Thani.
Another favourite of mine is Trang clean nice city overflowing with waterfalls.
Keep in touch
Cheers
Agree with the first you say. But there are always trolls wandering around. Just dont feed them....
When it comes to places worth staying I do think Chonburi and Rayong has the most stabile climates, short rainy seasons and not amongst the hottest places during the hot season.
Most of the north and the northeast are similar to what the OP describes - dusty and extremely hot during the hot season and most of the rainy season too as long as its not raining. It was 39 degrees in Chiang Rai a few days ago.
The exceptions are of course if youre a bit above sea level, then the tempratures will be lower. In the chang wats of Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phayao, Nan, Uttaradit, Loei and Petchabun (not Petchaburi) and other there are a good bit of mountains and thus some areas that are better.
There are probably good areas in the south near the sea where you often have a cooling breeze easing you a bit - but then again the most of the south have longer rainy seasons. And the south is not as hot as the north and the northeast.

You can only do it at the Promenada office.
You can do it a week early.
Short and to the point as always....
Thanks very much UbonJoe!

Hi folks - seeking advice about extending a visa excemption in Chiang Mai
Whereabouts is the Immigration office in CM nowadays? It where it used to be out nearby the airport or is it at the Promenada mall? Or maybe both places? And if so - where is the most conveniant place to go? (I have my own transportation)
And how long before the visa excemption expires can one extend it?
Thanks in advance!

A mate of mine are thinking of having his eyes fixed during a holiday to Thailand - lazer/lasik surgery. Are there anyone who have this procedure done in Thailand, experiences, recommandations, prices etc?

Way too many high ranked brownshirts have their mianoi-money and whiskey money collected from the arenas of prostitution - so stopping that is missiln impossible.
Just look at what just happend in Pattaya.

Thanks for answer UbonJoe. That was what I feared. I couldnt find cheaper airfare out of BKK than around 1600 baht and 1900 baht in extension fee it adds up.
Maybe I should try to get a SETV before going....

Hi folks - advice sought.
I got a trip to Thailand coming up in approx 2 weeks. I plan to stay 6-7 weeks and then fly out to another destination.
As Im for the moment a bit far from and thai embassy/consulate it will be a bit hard to get any visa so I plan to fly in and get a visa excemption and then extend this. Will I have any problem checking in/boarding the plane to Thailand when my outbound ticket is 6-7 weeks later than my entry and after a visa excemption is expired?

According to Wikipedia Thai passports holders will get a visa on arrival as most european passport holders will.

If youre talking about bringing a foreign plated vehicle into Thailand - forget it. Its not an option. If youre able to get thai plate on it it will cost you a fortune in taxes and fees and paracetamols for thousands of dollars to cure your headaches during this process. But most likely you will not be able to do so.
You can get a foreign plated vehicle into Thailand on a temporary monthly basis but it will require that you bring it to a customs office every month for a renewal of the temporary import. And such a temporary import can only be done up to six months and then the vehicle need to exit Thailand again.
By the way - thai government are about to change temporary vehicle import rules to the more stricter. Supposed to start from 27th this month.
So sell or leave your foreign plated vehicle where it is and consider buying another in Samui.

And they still keep a former Khmer Rouge officer as their prime minister. When will Cambodia get out of its curse?

The border closes at 10 pm and opens at 6 am. So your best option is probably to go to Nong Khai tonight - if you can find transport from Udon to there. And then early tomorrow find further transport to the border bridge and to Vientiane.
Pet elephant crushed to death by bus on Lampang-Chiang Mai highway

Well - by reducing speed you can stop much quicker. Im quite sure that in this highway service area the speed limits are max 60 km/h if not lower. The bus was travelling much faster than that.... emergency indicators on and full throttle up the relatively steep and at partly very winding roads over the Khun Tarn area in complete darkness - thats the way most buses do it but it doesnt mean its legal or right...
The area has also many traffic warning signs of elephants.
