I had 3 mates who all served in the Regiment living in Thailand , one passed away last year whilst living in Hua Hin ,one passed away several years ago whilst living south of Chiang Mai and my other mate lives between Chiang Mai and Piang Luang . All the genuine article and all were Gold card holders with DVA Australia.

The girls working in these bars are paid 8000 baht per month and the rest is in tips and drink commission , One of the girls told me she gets around 40000baht per month including the 8000 baht retainer . Just out of curiosity l asked what the bar fine was ,,3000 baht !

Very little over the last 11 years , I spend a lot of my time going to out of the way places in the north west and also west along the death railway which my Dad was a prisoner on .. Also small refugee villages along the mainly northern borders of Thailand .
