There is a dog trainer who has premises beside Nurn Plub Wan Animal Hospital. Sometimes gives demos in the hospital waiting room.

As Louse1953 says.. Thailand is exporting lots of stuff and the economy is strong.. relatively... the Aussie $ is falling as well.. OZ exports 'lots of stuff' too.. but not manufactured 'stuff'...''' raw materials... which takes a hit when it looks like China is slowing down and there is some nervousness out there about China's massive debt and ability to sustain high growth.. America?.. I think the markets are getting nervous about Trump's ability to deliver on his promises... reality is settling in.. he can't deliver the jobs he promised.. he can't deliver the promised infrastructure spending and his administration is in chaos.. his deregulation favoring big oil and coal caused some excitement for the big players but in the long game a shift to an economy based on renewable and clean energy is the only sustainable way to go.. & Trump's isolationist policies are already hurting the US economy...
Still doesn't answer the OP's question. I only tried to point out that the THB is not only rising against GBP. However, one thing you seem to have neglected is possible interference from the BOT e.g. buying THB.

The money made from sex tourism supports a lot of poor families in the north and north-east. Stopping it would be a major blow to the economy.
Not to mention tourism in general.

Animal hospitals normally open 24/7. Google for the nearest.

I would have taken my dogs to the hospital long before it reached this state. My dogs are family so what it costs is what it costs.
It is safe to give amoxicillin 250 mg to a dog. One morning and one evening before food. Continue for 10 days. But the vet should be priority. If cost is really an issue take your photo to a vet and ask the price. Bear in mind that you can get most medicines a lot cheaper from a pharmacy than from the vet.

Yet despite this more than 50% drop in visitors drug arrests soared from 29 to 46
I notice they don't say in which country the drugs were purchased.
When I flew from Bangkok to Denpasar I was subjected to a thorough search of all my baggage and clothing at Ngurah Rai. The reason given was that I had come from Bangkok so they were checking for drugs.
Seems Thailand has a certain reputation internationally.

Oh dear, another person that hasn't read the thread, or, watched the video.
There was NO parked car and there was NO lane change.
What video?

Watch the video, that's not what happened.
Also even if it was, the bike has the obligation to only change lanes if safe, there is no obligation for the truck to make room and that's for a very good reason, the bike could always just slow down and wait for a safe opportunity, it isn't always safe or even possible for a heavy vehicle to make a sudden evasive maneuver.
What video?

“She was riding on a motorbike with her partner, who did not sustain injuries. While driving, they changed lanes to avoid a vehicle parked on the left side of the road (the motorbike lane). As they did this, the truck hit their bike from behind,” said Lt Col Sanit Nukhong of Thalang Police.
Are you saying the Lt Col is a liar?

Where did the lorry driver think the bike was going to go to avoid the parked car? How about looking ahead and anticipating traffic moves. Oh, sorry TIT.

“The woman was then run over by the truck and sustained fatal head injuries,” he added.Where does it say that she was not the driver?

Why don't more major towns have stray dog shelters?
-
I don't suppose anyone at immigration has put out any information about this. No? Thought not. What a drag.
Tried out the website when Ubon Joe notified that it was working, successful. Shame it was too early for my report at the time.

Let me start by saying I am a dog lover and own a dog here in Thailand.
I would never want anything bad to happen to my dog and whoever is responsible for any harm coming to my dog without reason is in for some bad times.
That said, I can completely understand people stoop this low to get rid of dogs in their neighborhood.
There are simply no other options...
If these dogs bite you, your kid, or your dog, nobody will claim ownership and pay for the damages.
If you call the police to have the dogs removed before they bite anybody they will not take any action.
If you tell the perceived owner to be more responsible they will not do anything.
So what are your options?
Option 1: get bitten, let your kid get bitten, let your own dogs/cats be bitten. When that happens you pay for the VET and nothing will change. They might get bitten again, and again, and again.
Option 2: poison the dogs
My final question would be, where can one buy strychnine?
"
Jamlong Phonsombat, 65, called in reporters yesterday after seven of the dogs she looked after at her Makham district orchard were found dead from poisoning in just a few days."

I hope some dog lover finds the person responsible and injects them with rabies virus.

Mm, what happened to "always drive in such a manner that you can stop if circumstances require it"?

In many countries the " light" only means less calories and many light beers are 4-5% but not sure if Thailand is following that route but perhaps it is now.
"Light" originally was applied to Light Ale, distinguishing it from Pale Ale. The term "light" referred to it being "light in alcohol", Pale Ale being a stronger brew.

How many will be blasted off their motorbikes in the next week, due to dumb farangs hurling buckets of water mixed with talc into the faces of the drivers? I've yet to see a Thai do this.
Really? Where do you think the farangs got the idea from?
