  1. At last - a photo to prove that Honda and Toyota are morphing into Toyondas biggrin.png If you can't beat em copy em...

And as for cops opening fire on a busy street - let's hope they don't get too enthusiastic in their 'clampdowns'.

Far from it! Honda have remained way ahead in tooling than Toyota for BIW pressings for years.

Don't you see the 'pedestrian impact' minimum radii on the Honda (6mm min), as opposed to the sharp edges of the Toyota delivered to the Asian markets?

There is no copying. Toyota simply keep it cheap, and Honda uses and ships parts from the same tools world wide.

As for the OP, "landed his Honda City atop another car’s mirror." ... The car is not on top of the wing-mirror, but clearly sitting on the door sill above the A and B pillars.

Wing mirrors are one of the most difficult parts of a car to design and procure. They have to take pressure from above, below and from every direction, yet have an incredibly small packaging space for a motor and attachments, and assembly components so nothing is externally visible after assembly.

Talk about extreme reporting that a car landed on a wing mirror.. that's really wonderful reporting for attention, but an insult to all car designers.

To be honest I was referring to how much the new Toyotas look like Hondas! laugh.png Toyonda!

    Hoyota!

    Power in your dreams!

  2. When building my .....i told the elec. contractor to use a 3-wire system as in the western world. He smiled at me.... no. No.

They will not listen because they know better.

Taking a shower in a new room, touching the fawcett i was electrocuted.

Mai pen rai !! My fists are itching when i see the guy. I am supposed to keep my mouth shut. Yes 4 years of nightmares.

    They won't listen !!!!!

Put a Saf-T-Cut on the two incoming wires. AFAIK, as good protection as an earth.

Of course, it will be tripping out often till you debug the leaks -

  4. I appreciate the BMs' concerns about a senior farang drawing a Last Will favoring a young TGF. I quite understand it can be "risky" at times ... LOL Well, be concerned even more as I've made a Thai govt-approved Living Will in which she is named as representing my wishes if I were to find myself in a Terri Schiavo state. This I terribly fear (motocy accident, maybe) so I've made clear to her that if this happens she must have me unplugged asap as that will mean less $$$ for hospital care and more left for her in my bank account ...

You forgot to mention her name & phone #

    ;-)

    Motocy accidents to order!

  5. Anybody have knowledge how the Burmese would measure, on this topic?

BTW, it is also commonly observed that Thais do not read books -

"Anybody have knowledge how the Burmese would measure, on this topic?"

Aung San Su Kyi's dialogues dont seem too shoddy.

She is the exception, Brit education et al. I am interested in the typical Burmese - another poster said praman muangan Thais -

  6. Op, likely a combo of mediocre education and lack of knowledge of worldly things, the hierarchical structure of not wanting to converse with a higher up or lower down, the propensity for face loss should they get something wrong, and them simply getting bored as serious conversation might be considered dull.

& effective 'totalitarianism', as in they have no rating in the system, & are constantly afraid to speak what is really on their mind - re BIB, justice, etc etc, etc.

  7. Whenever an OP starts a thread concerning something less than flattering about Thais...the Thai Apologist's claws come out...let's try to keep it civil...speak to the subject...and not feel obligated to attack the poster...

When the poster denigrates Thais with barely concealed racism and tripe he will be called to account by better informed and more knowledgable posters.

"he will be called to account by better informed and more knowledgable posters"

Nobody is better informed about the OPs experience than the OP.

& I agree with OP entirely.
