    The figures quoted suggest the Condor flights will be full of tourists that wouldn't have used another airline. Highly unlikely.

    Exactly, we taught our son at an early age, he is one of the few in the village that can swim. I have only ever seen life vests at holiday resorts, where they are mandatory for all.

    These crossings are more a hazard than a help. However, as with all road related issues, it all comes back to the police not enforcing the laws. If they did consistently then people would learn. Eventually!

    Probably fell asleep or looking at his phone. Not only did he not see the truck, but he didn't see it had stopped for a red light. As you say neither are invisible.

    This is bad this year, I hope people are prepared. Luckily we're far enough away in central Thailand to miss the floods.

    If he fell for this scam he shouldn't be allowed out on his own. More likely it's an insurance scam.

    I assume the film/photo from the car was from a concerned netizen, more commonly known as a voyeur. It's a poor image revealing not much really, as its happening in an almost enclosed Phuket tuk tuk only visible from the rear.

    I'm pretty sure they were stopped at the Malaysia checkpoint. How would Thailand know their tax details?

    What is strange is the Interpol blue notice didn't flag him to immigration on his first entry to Thailand.

    Many people underestimate the power of flood water. Vehicles get swept away, let alone people.

    Learn what? It is a flash flood in the area of his village! Nothing he or anybody can do about a force of nature.

    Enact similar penalties to those in the west. And the big one. Ensure the police do their jobs!

    I know this is a worry for many. However I can't see this actually becoming law. For one, too many rich Thai have large investments overseas, they will fight this tooth and nail. Also, at least in the short term, nothing is planned for parliament and these changes to the tax law would need parliament debate and approval.

    So nobody knows who the owner is? Rubbish. Bang Saray is not a massively populated area. I'm sure several locals do, but just won't inform the authorities for some reason.

    They need to dish out serious penalties for hit and run as a deterrent. Too many cowards do this.
