    I remember they asked the Dutch for help years ago. They did a few things advised by the Dutch and then the money allocated went "missing". Same problem every year.

    Highly unlikely regarding elections. As for the vote buying, that won't change, it happens at village level upwards.

    If I could remember how many times I've heard this over the years. Without stability, transparency and minimal corruption, financial institutions won't even consider it.

    Other than the seriously ill and the elderly everyone seems to work in our village.

    Sounds like their salaries and conditions aren't what workers are looking for. Change those first maybe.

    I agree, they're called independent, but very far from it.

    Having looked this up on the UK government website, the chances of getting this are miniscule for the majority.

    Another idea where only the rich Thai benefit, can't see the average Thai gaining from this.

    Father pulls gun on son, son shoots father in the leg and does a runner. Father goes to hospital. Son turns himself in to Police. Why haven't the police arrested the pair of them?

    Half the people selling the stuff don't know how to use it. Instructions should be on the container.

    Hitting a woman, big man. I hope he does get punishment, it couldn't happen to a nicer man. But, he will get away with it.

    That is almost certainly the case, however they will never admit that.

    Well, they have completely resurfaced and fixed the borders on our village main road. My wife never expected to see the 10k anyhow.

    Sadly responsible vehicle maintenance and driver competence take a back seat here, even where kids are involved. It will be interesting to hear what vehicle malfunction caused this as it won't be the drivers fault.
