There is an old car, I would say about 30 years old, and it's owner passed away a few years ago. Where can we dispose it? Is there a junkyard around Bangkok that would take this car?
When we dispose this car, would they care about the car's registration? because it is of course still under deceased owner's name
Thanks

Nope, inflation. Tell US and EU nations to stop printing money. They are making their own money less valuable. Baht is naturally stronger because Thailand isn't printing money

I have an ticket for BKK - CTS. I didn't ask for refund or voucher. I just had them extend the validity of ticket until December 2022. When both Thailand and Japan open their borders, my ticket is always ready to be used anytime or make changes. And when you buy a new ticket with any airlines in the future, except you'll be paying higher price than you had paid for previous flight.

Since covid19 is out of control in EU and US, westerners, except probably those who are from Australia and New Zealand, will be among the last ones to be let in

£10,000 isn't really a lot. Doesn't he have credit cards? he travels around the world. Just use his credit cards to pay the bill.

Who is that young gentleman standing behind the suspect? Is that his son? If so, it would be a huge shock for him.

The furthest you'll make is the airport. They won't even let you check-in at the airline counter without appropriate visa and all required documents.

How do you own Thai property without the funds coming from overseas ? Do the Thai banks borrow the money outside Thailand.
Or are you talking about owning 49% of a company that borrows and owns property
I have Thai citizenship. Before I had the citizenship, I had to rely heavily on my Thai family.

I wanted to buy a property for 5mil. The wife and I offered 3mil deposit with a combined income of 100K a month but we were still knocked back. Financed through the owner for 3 years at 3% with a balloon payment at the end. Far better deal than the banks anywayNever heard of it. I'm a private banking customer of Thai banks and own multiple properties and buildings in Bangkok. Of course I have extensive experiences in getting mortgages from Thai banks and this is the first time I heard of financing through the owner. Either you're not explaining it right or shady way of getting a loan. Even there is such thing, it would be completely unregulated, zero protection to buyer, which the owner can easily screw the buyer. How can you possibly be perfectly certain that owner will transfer you the property after you paid off this so called mortgage through the owner. Unless you're talking about condo company partnering with a bank, and they offer pre-arranged mortgage to qualified potential buyer. But even then buyer would still have to go through bank's process. Nobody should do any type of loan with anybody but real banks.

I think it's great to see there are various vaccines being developed around the world. According to news, Thai's locally developed vaccine is will be in final stage of clinical trial in December. So it won't be available until later next year. I don't careful about national pride of each nation. All I care is safety and effectiveness. I would take the one proven to be the "best" even if it was developed in Russia. I just want to be able to travel freely like we used to before Covid19.

I have been in Thailand for about 7 years now, and so far I have had fraudulent charges 3 times: 1 time for each of my 3 Thai CCs. Each time, my banks contacted me for suspicious activities, immediately cancelled or refunded those charges, and sent me a new card. My other Thais CCs fortunately haven't had any fraudulent charge. Banks always protect me, I'm not worried about using my CCs in Thailand or any countries I've been to.

With lower exports, and the almost complete death of one of its major if not its largest industry (tourism) shouldn’t the currency be weak? Where is the demand for Thai currency coming from if no one outside Thailand wants or is able to buy Thai products and services?
Largest industry in Thailand is manufacturing. It is about 50% of GDP. Tourism is around 12% or so according to latest data of 2019. Thai baht is strong because Thailand doesn't print money. In contrast, US, EU, GB, Japan are all printing money like crazy, which makes those currencies less valuable and naturally makes Thai baht stronger. And Thai baht is backed up by gold. US dollar is just a paper with number on it.

It's actually a common practice. Most business class on flights flown within europe are just normal economy seat with a blocked seat in the middle. If THAI economy plus is a scam, what do you call the business class in EU?

Good question, why does it also happen in UK so often and many other parts of the world, why don't those idiots in faranglands know this?

It should tell you something about the hotel, considering the resort name: '' Sea View Resort'' in Chiang Mai ???
It's in Koh Chang. So resort name "sea View Resort" does make sense because there is sea right in font of it.

????typical self-centered.... getting into trouble over a booze.
Here at TV, people always like to talk about "commonsense", clearly American lacked such commonsense. You don't bring beverage from outside (he was too cheap to buy at hotel to begin with), and drink it at hotel's public areas. Drink in your own room would have been perfectly fine.
Sure, this american has his "rights" to express his opinion. But he's intention was obvious when he wrote misleading reviews over and over for weeks. There is a fine line between these. And don't forget, Thai also have rights, not just farangs. Every citizen has the right to exercise the law of that country to the fullest extend. Don't like it, don't leave your country. Practice your rights in your country.

They had 6 months to deal with visa. Yet some people aren't prepared for it, unbelievable. Even if they had given these people a full year, they still wouldn't do a thing until last minute, and resume complaining and blaming others???? As more time passes, whatever the excuses they keep coming up with for why they can't meet the requirements and it's not their fault (as always) become less convincing.

40 million turist a year, lets say each spend 1000$, 40 billion missing and turism in less important than other sectors?
How many people lives in thailand working in automobiles and automotive parts sector and how many with turism?
as whole country if you have 40 billion missing, you have a big problem.
The fact that they are not accepting tourist or doing anything to prepare to open in the future for them is not correlated to the tourism sector being less important than other sectors.
Money generated by other industries is significantly larger than tourism. Sure missing income from tourism hurts, but damage is limited. It's like bee-sting but doesn't ruin the picnic (from Billions) If there was large scale pandemic here in Thailand like in US, India, Brazil, EU, it will cause far greater damaging impact on entire industries than halting tourism.
And why emphasize only auto sectors. Thailand has a lot more: computers, appliance, clothing/textiles, rubber, food/agriculture, drinks, etc. Why risk all other people work in the other industries just to satisfy tourism by opening a country with no realistic measures to prevent foreigners bringing in the virus.
