  1. Hi everybody !

I'm new to this forum and to BKK as well, so this might sound stupid...

My father's been with his friends to a sauna, but it was men only. He said it was very nice, you can get massages, drink tea and well the sauna of course.

I wonder if there is places like that but women only ? It doesn't have to be a sauna, can be a hammam, but I would like to try something like that.

any suggestion is happily welcome  :o

  2. Police arrest bank robber taking a nap on the job

BANGKOK: -- Police arrested a would-be bank robber early Sunday morning after he broke into a Bangkok bank and then fell asleep under the teller’s counter.

Narong Chuaysuk, 22, a native of Sakon Nakhon, was found sleeping under the counter of Siam Commercial Bank’s Bang Mod branch on Rama II Road after a silent alarm was activated.

Police said Narong had in his possession wristwatches, a pen, VCD and CD players, two screwdrivers and a one-metre-long wooden stick that he had used to break into the bank.

Narong admitted that he had broken into banks on two previous occasions, police said.

The first two alleged break-ins were at Krung Thai Bank’s Bang Khunthien branch on February 7 and February 21.

Narong told reporters that having tried unsuccessfully to break into the Bang Mod bank’s safe, he had rifled through draws and kept the valuables.

He said he then felt sleepy and decided to take a nap before fleeing.

Narong revealed that he used to make furniture, but could not find work. He then met a man who persuaded him to rob banks.

Police yesterday brought Narong to the bank to re-enact the crime. He climbed up to the third floor and removed an iron bar with the wooden stick, before removing slatted windows.

He was also brought to Krung Thai Bank’s Bang Khunthien branch to re-enact the burglaries there.

Could this be the same Narong that says jack in the TV chat? What will Narongs Mummy and Daddy have to say?

  3. This forum has only been in operation since 2002.  In reality not a long time but in internet years, it is.  It has grown by leaps & bounds and I am amazed at how many members we now have.  I remember when I first joined up and there wasn't many different names to remember as the membership was small.  Some of those names you still see frequently and some you don't.  If anyone was to go through the membership list, they would find that a lot of people join but never post anything.  Don't quite understand that.  Anyway, was in kind of a reminiscent mood so I thought I would make a list of all the people I remember as what I like to call the "originals".  For those that forgot, maybe this will light a spark.

    (In no particular order)

    1.  George-The big dog around these parts

    2.  Dr. Pat Pong-Always loved his name.  He is an enforcer.
