  1. The bank to which you give your money to send to Thailand has to phisically pay that money somehow to the paying bank. Tjis can only be done between 2 USD accounts (that both banks will hold typically in New York)

    Cheers

How does it work when you transfer Euro? Where is that managed?

Anyway, I don't see why my bank cannot notify me in advance that there shall be an extra charge on the way. They should be able to check whether their US branch has an agreement with the US branch of the Thai bank, and give me the REAL cost of the transfer, rather then discovering it later, and having the recipient complain he didn't get the full amount.

    ECB

    European Central Bank.

You have all the answers now G so contact your bank.

  2. Paulander Beer Garden at Suan Luam night market sells it. Also Orbit on Soi 26 used to !(has changed name now ) Then you have Carrefour, and at the airport you can get it.

    Anyone tried, Tiger black?

BTW. If Guinness is not brewed in Thailand any more, where does the draught come from ?

Guinness has never been brewed in Thailand and has always been imported from KL.

  3. I miss the draft Guinness which was available in Malaysia (brewed in Shah Alam). If I remember correctly it was RM 24.00 / pint in "The Pub", half price in happy hours. Could I ask which Guinness we are discussing here: draft from Malaysia, canned from Malaysia or canned from the Emerald Isle?

If it's draft, at Bht 160.00 / pint I would be encouraged to try the odd one occasionally; but at Bht 160.00 / can (500 ml?) it starts to get expensive.

What happened to Lampard10's stock of Guinness or are we allowed to ask? :o

  4. You're not getting mixed up with Thai Beer (also brewed by Leo with red label) and Leo Beer are you? Thai is about 1% stronger and tends to give one a nasty head in the morning.

Watch your generic Thai beer drinking as it's all dodgy stuff. :o

Leo Beer is the beverage that I consume and not Thai Beer.

  5. I normally drink 5/6 large bottles of Leo a day(and still have abit of a head in the morning? What's now strange is that I am drinking on average 8/9 bottles a day.

This has only happened in the last week or so and I ave also noticed that Leo have changed the colour of the there beer boxes from a Red print to a Pinkish print.

Question is: Has anyone noticed this and has Leo dropped the percentage of Alcohal from5.5% to whatever?

    Stu going to the Q.
