  1. Farang, farang, farang.

Was she a bargirl when you met her? :o

    Try posting in Barladies.com

A bit nosey seeing as you've only been posting here a few days don't you think?

What has barladies.com got to do with this guy feeling he is being degraded by his WIFE???

That's the point, this thread has nothing to do with bargirls, so I suggested you post there if you want to bring the subject up.

U dont own barladies.com come do you?

  2. What were you extradited for? If it was a criminal charge, I'd say it's a safe bet the Thai authorities will still view it as a 'bad farang deported' case... And not want you back.

MFA regulations on not being issued a visa in part:

    (6) Having been imprisoned by the judgement of the Thai Court; or by a lawful injunction; or by the judgement of the Court of foreign country, except when the penalty is for petty offense or negligence or is provided for as an exception in the Ministerial Regulations.
If they had to go through the extradition process rather than you leaving of your own accord I would not expect a welcome mat to be out in these days of computer records.

What does the exit stamp say on your passport?

  3. Farang, farang, farang.

I know, I know that we are farang and I accept this and for the most part would never take acception to this.

Yesterday however whilst dining in a noodle shop my wife said to the waiter "the farang would like to eat a dessert".

How on earth am I supposed to accept this? We had this problem 1 year ago when I took exception to her sister doing the same thing. "You know my name" I say, or why not "he"?

The problem you see is that according to her by not accepting this word I have a problem with her family and her. "I do not accept them!!!??". Is this (by the very use of the word) not a case of the other way round??

How about how we (westerners) feel? I don't mind being referred to as "farang" by people I don't know or as part of a collective community or race but to be called farang in the 3rd person when i'm sitting there BY MY WIFE!!! Is totally unacceptable.

So this has caused a serious argument which she expects me to back down from and say sorry thereby becoming a doormat (as far as i'm concerned).

Has anybody had this problem and how did they play it?

I'm not going to back down on this, I will calm down and not mention it again but if she thinks that I will somehow come to accept being called a farang (in this type of of situation) then she will be disappointed.

  5. Cheers Chuchok and Nick2k.

I just came back from Bangkok Phuket Hospital, it was a long time there and 19,600 baht later....

I had a MLI scan on my brain and had my blood checked as well as nose throat and ear checks done.

My health was excellent in every way, blood pressure normal as well.

I still have no clue what the problem is and the headaches are becoming worse.

Nick, you do make some valid points regarding the gym, as I workout 6 days a week and train with the Muay Thai boys twice a week. I will have a few days off of everything I think..

Still no clue though, but it was good to see that everything else was good, except for my problems????? who knows, will wait and see If I wake up tomorrow  :o

Just out of interest - How much did they charge you for the MRI scan?

Sounds to me like stress comlicated by overdoing it excercise wise.

Anything over Baht4000 for the MRI Scan and you were fleeced.

  6. The reason I mentioned he was American is because he is quite well known in Phuket and I wondered if people knew who I was talking about.  :D

I found his number and called, he is open Mon, Wed, Fri, so I will be there on Wednesday.

The more I think of it, Taxexile might of just hit the nail on the head!  :D

Ive been thinking I had a tumor for the last week.  :o

Twas only a rumor about the tumor then.

  7. Cricket: Crowd behaviour rated among 'worst in world'

    21.02.05

    By RICHARD BOOCK

Australian cricketer Matthew Hayden described New Zealand's crowds as among the worst in the world after the reception the visitors received at the first one-day international on Saturday night.

Nearly 24 hours after Australia launched the series with a 10-run win at Wellington, Hayden was still fuming over sections of the Cake Tin crowd who spat, hurled rubbish and abused the visiting fieldsmen, twice causing the game to be held up.

"You come to expect it, but I didn't like the way the crowd performed," Hayden said.

"I got spat on. I don't see how that's [acceptable] behaviour. We're here to play entertaining cricket, not to be spat on and have cans thrown at us, or whatever the crowd want to do.

"We've got the two best sides in the world playing against each other and it's ridiculous to think you're going to be physically abused."

Asked whether he thought it was the most hostile environment he'd played in, the Queenslander said: "I think so, yeah. Here and South Africa - and Sydney."   :o

  8. i dont know what preacher curls are but you might have pulled  a neck or upper back vertebra out of true and the resultant imbalance is causing headaches.

a visit to a (very) good chiropractor might be worth a try.

That could be it! Tax, you have given me another avenue, I really appreciate it!

There is a Chiropractor in Kata Ive been told (A Yank), I will try and find his number and get on down there.

If anyone knows the one Im talking about and has a number/name or address, It would be appreciated - cheers

Thanks Tax, that really has given me a bit more hope!

Is there a specific reason why you had to mention he was American Mr Tornado?
