You people are a sorrowful bunch. Last night you stayed up hoping she wouldn't return so you can make your ugly comments. Now she comes back and you start your insults. Very disgusting group of people here.
By all means, please call her on her private line and give her our apologies for ever doubting her. After all, we should have learned from all the rice farmers how trusting she is and how much she means to them. She is an absolute paragon of virtue and one we should esteem as greatly as you do. Give her a kiss for all the rest of us disgusting people. Tell her that we hope she gets all the attention she deserves.

I never thought of Dubai as being
I guess everything is relative in Thailand. Or is it, everyone is a relative in Thailand.

I believe this spending forecast will exactly match the forecasts developed by the major alcoholic beverage distributors in Thailand (also will have a huge impact on the HAPPINESS index)!

Mishandled????? Is this another euphemism for stealing?
One has to ask if it is possible to find JUST ONE honest government official in all the kingdom of Thailand!

A lot of people had her never to return. I guess she is better than some thought.
She also made repeated promises to pay the rice farmers! Just ask some of them how reliable her words have been.

I hope the new cameras also come equipped with snooze alarms that will automatically wake up the police if there is any suspicious activity. Another important feature would be for the cameras to automatically interrupt the policeman's cellphone gaming to alert the police to suspicious activities picked up on the camera.

Say what you want about the potential for abuse by the ruling junta but some action is better than what Thailand has experienced from its recently departed 'leadership'. All I can remember of that administration is an abundance of shopping trips, CYA proclamations and amnesty manipulations. In Thailand, there has been such a dramatic void in leadership that what what we are seeing now feels like a breath of fresh air and a glimmer of hope. Let's all hope that real, productive change can occur and that the ENTIRE Thai citizenry are the beneficiaries and not just the 'entitled' few.

I read the headline and was curious how many elephants come to Thailand as tourists. Hope they are not counted in the annual tourist numbers.

Brainstorming about education among Thai is likely nothing more than slight whimpering breeze.

It is delicious, taste and texture similar to lobster but only lives on coral reef so total numbers are limited, I am rather surprised it was even available at nontropical supermarkets. It eats dead coral with algae on it and poops out sand, many beaches would have little to no sand if not for this fish.
Any fish that poops sand must be pretty darn tuff! No way I'm eating sand pooping fish! Consider it my contribution to the environment.

What does "prosecuted" mean according to the Thai military dictatorship? What has the military junta done with these "corrupt officials?"
It means that they will likely be transferred probably to the police department where they will certainly go about doing what all Thai police do . . . absolutely NOTHING!

I hope they also tackle the issue of school admin requiring all students to be passed to the next level even when they have proven that they are unable or unwilling to master the current levels requirements. Too much politics, too much face-saving and too great a desire to generate revenue while not enough concern about the welfare of the children's education.

Ah, a MASTER plan! Sounds like the same people involved in improving driving practices here in Thailand. All about regulations and ZILCH about ENFORCEMENT! All the rules in the world don't mean a thing without the ability or the WILLINGNESS to enforce such regulations. Case in point, look at the roads you are driving on. No enforcement at all.
Thailand certainly loves to make rules. They just don't know what they are supposed to do with them.

Amazing! It took a Thai political scientist to come to the startling revelation that ENFORCING traffic laws would be a good thing. What a novel idea! Just imagine for a minute what a great idea it would be to not only have traffic laws and then to have drivers take a test to show that they understand the laws BUT, taking it to the extreme of ENFORCING the laws. WOW! ! ! !

He said police got tougher in the past week on vendors whose stalls blocked traffic stalls at eight spots that received multiple complaints - Ramkhamhaeng Road, Soi Udomsuk (Sukhumvit 103) and Soi On Nut, Pratunam Intersection in Rajdamri, Rajthewi, Rajdamnoen, Saphan Khao and Min Buri Market.
This must be a euphemism for 'requested more pocket money'!

I've only been in Chiang Mai 30 months, and I've never heard of this Carrefour place. where is it?
Among other places, it's in France. It used to be in Thailand but Carrefour retreated from SE Asia at least a couple of years ago.
I'm pretty sure he is referring to Tops at Central Festival since he says "central festival".
The Big C on the superhighway used to be Carrefour before they left Thailand. Perhaps he was referring to this place. Some still refer to it as Carrefour to differentiate it from the other Big C on superhighway that is closer to Hang Dong.

In Thailand, a 'Smart Classroom' is an oxymoron! Maybe they should start by finding smart teachers and smart administrators!

"The film cost an estimated THB40 million but only earned THB30,000 at the box office."
Maybe stick to growing rice pal!
He went to the same school of economics as the meatheads that dreamt up the rice pledging scam (ah I mean scheme). Pay much more than you expect to earn. Thailand the hub of economic strategy!

Thailand behind in global citizenship learning: educator
in Thailand News

Not to worry. Students in Thai government schools are seldom overburdened with anything related to learning with the exception of learning the latest app or game on their cell phones. I am amazed at how little time students spend in productive classes because there are always 'activities' of some sort that entertain rather than educate. No wonder the students in Thai government schools are never held back for poor performance but are passed along through to the following year without ever mastering the basics. This ensures an undereducated, underperforming, under motivated, citizenry for the future of Thailand. One must be thankful that there are still good livelihoods to be made in selling drugs, prostitution, and graft here in the land of smiles.
